Delivery for Sigrid! … except she’s not happy with who came with it. Actually… She’ll be eating him as well.💀 - Sigrid wasn’t always the nicest to Richard when they first met, especially knowing his past as a playboy, being a Kasper/Grim Reaper, and his age (Sigrid calls him an “old man”, but he’s not old - just older like a brother or cousin). But deep down inside, Sigrid had always liked him and wanted to have him for herself. — #autodesksketchbook #femalecharacter #malecharacter #couple #man #girl #characterart #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #sketchdump #animestyle

Page 14: Message for home... (End) - Back to the start, but on the other end - Kimiko now sends back her Hanami photos to her mother and younger sisters in Japan. — #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #girl #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 13: Farewell - for now. - Kimiko still has her habit of bowing every time she thanks people, bumps into things, and says goodbye. While Hr. Dr. Kasper admires her politeness, he often reminds his nurse that she’s not in Japan anymore and has to adopt more Western customs to fit in. - Kimiko isn’t familiar with Freyja’s live blogs, TV shows, and magazines - she only knows her as her mentor’s wife (Kimiko isn’t interested in fashion much compared to her younger sisters and mother). — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 12: Kimiko’s selfie next to the Kaspers’ tiny tree for her family back home in Yokohama. Page 11: But it’s cute... - The tree may be tiny to the humans, but to the mythical creatures, it’s a mesmerizing object in the backyard garden - especially for Rosemarie the Fairy and Junko Akane the Hyōsube (who happen to be both pink like Sakura blossoms). - Kimiko hoped it was a tree large enough to lay underneath and look up as the branches sway in the breeze. But she can at least sit next to it for a selfie... — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #sakura #cherryblossom #hyosube #pink #blue #green #yellow #white #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 10: Kids say the darnest things... (Kimiko doesn’t need to be reminded of how petite she is compared to everyone else - especially around you) - Kimiko is super excited to see the tree just to see the flowers on it, but she’s might be disappointed... __ #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #boy #cat #dango #pink #blue #green #yellow #white #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 9: Going outside to eat some Dango.🍡 - Like many kids, Cedrick only appears when there’s food around. And like many kids, he doesn’t always listen to his father for his own reasons - Cedrick is very impressionable, especially in regards with his grandfather Erik (there’s times even Hr. Dr. Kasper calls his son a mini-version of Freyja’s father depending on situations). Cedrick is also not very attached to his grand-aunt Yoko’s Japanese culture, so instead he’s wearing a black Kimono-inspired shirt on top (with a skull on the back as a Kasper usually has on somewhere). - Cedrick also brought up the term “Wakashū” - often a teen boy in the Edo Era who was dressed as a female until he’s grown up into a man (basically a “pupae stage” or “middle gender”); this concept fell out of fashion and turned into the idea of “Bishonen” (or “Pretty-Boy”) to reflect a boy’s youth and good-looks. __ #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #boy #cat #dango #pink #blue #green #yellow #white #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 8: Frl. Flicka discovers something delicious... 🍡 - Fräulein Flicka is the Kaspers’ pet Doberman/Hellhound; she’s a former U. S. military dog who had serious behavioral issues until she was adopted. Nowadays she thinks she’s a lapdog, often jumping on the couch and sleeping in bed with Freyja and Faustuz. She can also be quite mischievous, often chasing Cedrick around like cattle, sneaking off with slices of Erik’s Smörgåstårta, or breathes out fire and poops out flaming turds when she’s turning into a Hellhound. - Kimiko is deathly afraid of dogs but loves cats (she might like Freud since he’s a dachshund). She also likes cute little animal mascots such as Hello Kitty, so maybe if a mythical creature decides to show itself from hiding... — #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #dog #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 7: The missus is fashionably late (as usual). - Freyja is wearing the kimono Tante Yoko gave her when she married Hr. Dr. Kasper. With a guest in the house who’s also Japanese like her extended family, Freyja feels that she should wear her kimono this time. - Kimiko isn’t familiar with Freyja’s TV show, live blogs, or fashion magazines, so she has no idea how popular/famous she is. Kimiko, like most of her fellow coworkers, also assumed her mentor was a single father whose wife died from some tragic event (some say cancer, others say an accident; none of it is true). Now finally meeting her, Kimiko is in awe and curious about Freyja’s relationship with Faustuz. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #dog #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 6: “... and then I was raised by my aunt Yoko and uncle Heinrich, along with my older cousins Hansel and Hannah.” - Kimiko hasn’t seen or met his wife (yet), but now knows how and why her mentor is fluent with Japanese. - Most of Hr. Dr. Kasper’s coworkers assumed he’s a single dad, his wife dying from some tragic reason since they’ve never seen her visit the hospital. (Freyja is alive and well - she’ll make an appearance soon enough...) — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #dog #flowers #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 5: “Not my father. Not a bathrobe.” (But a little funny Kimiko says Erik looks like an old Cedrick - he’s his grandfather after all) - Hr. Dr. Kasper and Kimiko are both wearing Yukata, a traditional Japanese outfit similar to a Kimono but less elaborate and lighter in weight for Spring and Summer. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #woman #men #dog #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 4: It’s Hr. Ström, not Hr. Kasper. - Kimiko never met any of Hr. Dr. Kasper’s immediate family, so she quickly assumed Erik Ström was his father because of the logic that he’s living at her doctor’s house and is blond like the Herr Doktor and Cedrick. Erik thinks it’s funny people think that he’s Johannes Faustuz’s father (he actually knew his father Richard), but in reality, the two can’t stand the sight of each other (Erik thinks Faustuz is not worthy enough for his daughter Freyja for lots of reasons). — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #woman #man #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 3: “I do have a tree, but...” - Hr. Dr. Kasper usually doesn’t invite people over to his house for LOTS of reasons (his wife Freyja is a famous TV host, his father-in-law Erik Ström still stuck due to travel bans, there’s lots of little mythical creatures living there, his dogs go crazy with visitors, etc.). But he’s feeling a little pity for Kimiko’s homesickness for Japan, and since he has a small cherry blossom tree in his backyard, he’s cautiously allowing her to visit. Just hope the critters behave themselves, and hope Kimiko doesn’t get too nosy about his background... Faustuz doesn’t like having to explain things like why there’s a colony of fairies living in the garden, or how his parents met and died. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #nurse #woman #man #doctor #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami

Page 2: The Herr Doktor goes Hanami in Hiroshima.🌸 - Hr. Dr. Kasper was raised by his aunt Yoko Kobayashi, a Japanese woman, so he’s very familiar with the Japanese culture and language (Japanese is actually his second language, which still surprises Kimiko whenever he suddenly speaks to her in Japanese because he’s German). Kimiko has much to learn about her mentor despite being his nurse for almost two years (she knows Cedrick is his son, but doesn’t know if he’s married or not). - I’ll have to post up a quick story script about how Kimiko met Hr. Dr. Kasper sometime. He treats her like a younger sister, but Kimiko is still confused about her thoughts about him. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #nurse #woman #man #doctor #pink #blue #green #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami #sakura #cherryblossom

Page 1: The Kaspers’ nurse Kimiko Abe yearning to see the cherry blossoms blooming at her native Yokohama, Japan.🌸 - This will be a short story regarding “Hanami” - or “Flower-Watching” in Japanese regarding the Sakura blossoms in bloom around this time of the year. — #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #nurse #woman #pink #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #comic #hanami #sakura #cherryblossom

But who is he talking to? And about what? 🤔 - Johannes Faustuz calls his wife Freyja “My Love”, his son Cedrick “Wunderkind”, and his father-in-law Erik “Old Man”. He uses “Darling” for people outside of his immediate family regardless of gender when he’s annoyed, sarcastic, or feeling sassy. — #malecharacter #man #originalcharacter #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #halftone #black #white #blackandwhite

Another random #sketchdump - this time in the modern era with Richard and Sigrid’s son Johannes Faustuz with wife Freyja Ström, son Cedrick, and cat Klimt. - Slide 2 is an old short from last year (when it was peak of the toilet paper shortage) featuring Klimt. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #woman #boy #cat #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #characterdesign #frauv8_ocs

June-July 1980: Sigrid’s first trip to Kiel to see the sailboats. ⛵️ Kiel is where the Kaspers are from; last time I read, it’s also the site of Germany’s second largest festival after Munich’s Oktoberfest (both festivals are on my bucket list for different reasons - one is obviously for the food and beer, but the other is out of curiosity after seeing amazing photos of all those colorful sailboats crammed into a canal for a week). — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #animestyle #kiel #boat #frauv8_ocs

Random sketch dump with Richard, Sigrid, and the stray neighborhood tomcat nicknamed Odin after “Odin’s Eye”, the Kaspers’ heterochromia ability to see spirits and monsters. - Odin is a white tomcat with odd-eyes who’d constantly meow and yowl late at night to attract the ladies. Lately he hasn’t been roaming around as much due to his age, and has been staying over at Aina’s backyard where Hedy enjoys sleeping in the greenhouse; the two cats had been inseparable until Odin’s death a year later, resulting in three litters of kittens. Like Hedy, Odin was very affectionate - especially towards Sigrid. Richard doesn’t like cats (Grim Reapers hate cats for their 9 lives and chasing away dead souls that need capturing), but has a soft spot for Odin due to their many similarities and the fact Odin’s on his last life out of nine. — #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #digitalart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs #originalcharacters #man #girl #cat #oddeyedcat #whitecat #sketchdump

• Random short: 5-year-old Johannes Faustuz with his grandmother Aina and Hedy the black cat. (swipe over to see a cute little Sigrid) - Every summer vacation as a child, Hr. Dr. Kasper was sent off to Copenhagen to stay with his grandmother Aina (later with his father’s distant cousin Dagfinnr at the family’s hotel when he needed a summer job, also located in Copenhagen). Aina would spoil him as much as possible since he was her only grandchild and only reminder of her both her daughter Sigrid and son-in-law Richard since their deaths. Johannes Faustuz would have a hard time going back home to Kiel after the summer months, knowing that his older cousins would be there to torment him; he misses Copenhagen, more so now he can’t go back due to the pandemic, but he still keeps in touch with his grandmother via FaceTime just to make sure she’s doing well. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #boy #woman #cat #girl
