Another color scheme pic; these colors are similar to a previous drawing (last slide). - It’s also a Kasper family portrait with Papa Ström stepping in. Looks like a happy family, but seconds before Freyja snapped the shot, everyone else isn’t so happy - especially her husband and father (second slide). Erik and Johannes Faustuz have a long history in not liking each other, but for family’s sake, they’re willing to set their grudges aside momentarily. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #colorstudy #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #boy #men #father #grandfather #son #femalecharacter #woman #mother #family #frauv8_ocs

The end of Queenie’s show-and-tell craziness. Despite all the trouble Queenie caused, Papa Kasper is putting himself out to take some of the heat from Momma Williams. - Like her niece Tricia, Asia Williams is not too fond of either of the Kasper men, especially Johannes Faustuz since her husband spends so much time with him - sometimes more than her, which makes her jealous of Faustuz. But when it comes to Freyja, she turns into a screaming fan girl just being around her favorite TV show host. Unlike the rest of the Williams, Asia calls Faustuz “Jo” or “Jojo” instead of “Hans”, but is still like her family in not calling him by his preferred names (first and middle, just his middle, or his title and last name). - Also featured is Queenie’s overly worn out teddy bear Mr. Bellybutton Fluff. He’s been her favorite toy since she was a baby, and has gone through numerous repairs and checkups over the years since Queenie first met the Kaspers (he’s made up of scraps from worn out scrubs). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #malecharacter #femalecharacters #man #woman #girl #child #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Johannes Faustuz is such a dorky dad. He’s very proud of owning wallet photos in an age when most people just use their mobile phones to show off family photos (Cedrick, on the other hand, is extremely embarrassed his father actually carries his baby pictures in his wallet - see old pic in 2nd slide). - Queenie isn’t happy that she lost the spotlight, but she’s going to have a very long discussion with adults after the day is over. — I didn’t have the exact extreme circumstances as Queenie, but when I was in preschool for a joint show-and-tell with parents, we had to share baby pictures of ourselves. Everyone else had cute baby photos when they had chubby cheeks and open eyes; my mom picked out a photo of me as a sleeping newborn baby with a head full of spiky hair and wearing boy’s clothes. I was obviously not happy, and classmates made fun of me for not having a cute baby photo. So after class my teacher had to explain to me that my baby picture was actually quite normal for a newborn and everyone starts off looking not like the stereotypical baby. Moral of the story: sometimes you need a hard dose of reality and truth early on as a young child. Because of instances like that, I’m very well aware of how many things are not what they seem, and often times I’d rather see the reality and from there I’ll make my judgments. - So I guess it goes full circle in regards to my characters? Each family has their secrets (Kaspers were Nazis, DeValuers were descendants of Syrian and Pied Noir refugees, Williamses have ancestors who were slave owners, etc.), but the current generations are nothing like the past and work hard to contribute back to society. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #child #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Queenie is one troublemaker, always sneaking off to places she shouldn’t be in, doing things that’s not allowed, and asking questions about subjects that are not always the easiest to answer and explain to a 5-year-old. This often annoys her father Tyrone since he’s so busy working at the hospital, unable to keep an eye on her whenever she’s visiting; because of this, Queenie constantly sneaks into the Kaspers’ office and rummages through their stuff - mostly without permission. Johannes Faustuz is actually quite patient in dealing with Queenie since he’s a father of a Wunderkind, but at times he’s at his wits’ end whenever she does something so outrageous - like dumping the jarred Meerjungfrau into the aquarium, or this time opening his aunt’s package and pulling a private family photo out of it. And wanting to show it off to her Kindergarten classmates. But all that aside, Queenie enjoys being around the Herr Doktor and thinks of him as an uncle. - And “Papa Olaf” is Faustuz’s grandfather - one of the identical twins featured in the photo, not the young man in the center. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #child #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

⛔️You have been warned⛔️ This idea has been in the scraps pile for obvious reasons, but with recent media being out there depicting this particular subject, I guess it’s a tad bit safer to bring it up? It’s going back to archives after awhile with an updated post with more details about these three Kaspers. It’s been hinted for a long time regarding Johannes Faustuz’s ancestors being involved with World War II. It’s time to show them: Randolf, Olaf, and Adolf - the Kaspers during the Second World War. Faustuz is very skittish about revealing his family’s history to others, afraid people will immediately treat him and his son Cedrick differently based off the fact his ancestors were not very good people. - The Kasper Family are snubbed by other families involved in the occult and mythological business due to their villainous behavior and historical circumstances (you can say the Kaspers are like Slytherin House in Harry Potter). It’s this very fact why Erik Ström didn’t want his only child Freyja falling in love and marrying Faustuz in the first place, even though he’s nothing like his predecessors (well, he’s just as hardheaded, intelligent, crafty, and occasionally creepy without being evil). Kaspers throughout the ages were known to be merchants, advisors, politicians, mercenaries, whatever profession that can be used to obtain resources in questionable ways. Since after the war with only Olaf surviving, each generation has tried their best to make up for the sins of their ancestors by using their skills and knowledge for good. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #girl #ww2 #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Looks like Papa Kasper is going to be a Viking for Halloween this year, lol. - The correct answer to my pop quiz was “Norwegian Forest Cat”. The Kaspers’ cat is a Weegie (also spelled Wegie, which is the nickname for this breed of cat), and boy is he trouble always catching and often killing small creatures only to bring them to his masters as offerings of love. Klimt also likes climbing up trees, but often gets stuck high up - thus Cedrick or Johannes Faustuz has to rescue him by climbing up and risking limbs. - Weegies are the most popular cat breed of Scandinavia for obvious reasons: they’re from Norway, they are tied to Norse mythology as the drivers of the goddess Freyja’s chariot, and were companions of Vikings. Being descendants of Viking royalty and warriors, the Ström family always owned this breed of cat throughout the ages due to their loyalty and affection. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #cat #vikinghat #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Finished. Swipe to see full version without text. ➡️ And yes, “Sjöpenna” is a lamp you can buy on IKEA. According to the world’s most infamous translator Google Translate, it does translate as “sea pen fields” from Swedish. (makes sense looking at the lamp) And Cedrick is half Swedish, but doesn’t consider himself Swedish since he was born and raised in Kiel like his father. But Tricia doesn’t care - all she knows that his mother Freyja is Swedish therefore he’s Swedish too. — They first met when Tricia was 13 and Cedrick was almost 10 when Hr. Dr. Kasper had to assist teaching at the university; at this time, her uncle was still a medical student. Tricia mercilessly picked at Cedrick since he was so much smaller and couldn’t speak much English, often making him cry. Then one day the Kaspers were gone, making Tricia initially sad thinking that she was the reason why they left. Fast forward five years, Tricia is barely surviving her first year of college while Cedrick is much taller, fluent in several languages, and finished medical school at 14. Tricia is annoyed now that she needs help from someone she used to pick on in order to survive college; Cedrick, on the other hand, doesn’t have any hard feelings towards her - just gets frustrated every time she skips out on tutoring and babysitting for mall trips with her best friend Carmen. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #autodesksketchbook #animestyle #originalcharacters #characterart #femalecharacter #malecharacter #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Faustuz and Cedrick refer to her as “Fräulein” as form of endearment - hence her full name Frl. Flicka “Miss Girl.” - Freyja adopted Frl. A quick one today. And I hate spiders.🕷 - Based off a comedy skit I watched recently about not touching one’s hair no matter what the circumstances because it’s so true - at least with myself and a few other girls I’ve known (it all boils down to you don’t have automatic permission to touch and play with another’s hair just because it’s different from your own). I’m a terrible person.🤦🏻‍♀️ — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #mangastyle #animestyle #comic #originalcharacters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #tarantula #frauv8_ocs

Whenever Cedrick takes his mother’s dog for a walk, he always gets tangled up in some kind of trouble - this time literally with Frl. Flicka’s leash. - Freyja adopted Frl. Flicka, being told that she was a former war dog who had trouble finding a forever-home due to her PTSD. She’s a sweet dog, thinking she’s a lapdog despite her size and loves giving kisses to her fellow pets/creatures. But she does get triggered when hearing loud noises, making her aggressive until she is presented some kind a treat to calm her down. She’s affectionate to Freyja, very obedient to Johannes Faustuz, and extremely rough with Cedrick. Frl. Flicka has a bad habit of howling during the New Moon; with Halloween getting closer, she’s doing more unusual things like bringing in mauled rats, breath smelling like brimstone, and her eyes glowing red - all hints that she’s most likely a “Höllenhund”, or Hellhound, in the form of a Doberman. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #dog #doberman #frauv8 #frauv8_ocs

Happy #nationalcoffeeday! Why on September 29th? No real reason - just an excuse to celebrate the dark liquid elixir that fuels human sanity and functionality. ☕️ And some people really take coffee seriously - like this guy. Both Hr. Dr. Kaspers are lactose intolerant, but each one likes their coffee differently: Johannes Faustuz like his coffee black with a maximum of two spoonfuls of sugar - no more, no less. Cedrick likes his coffee sweet with milk alternatives such as soy, oat, and almond milk. Like both Kaspers, I’m also lactose intolerant; I like my coffee iced either black with lots of simple syrup or get the flavored lattes with soy instead of whole milk (otherwise I just get iced tea/juice blends with boba). - So how do you like your coffee? Do you even like coffee? “Midnight Snack” is finished! 🦑 It’s a late night glimpse into the Kaspers’ kitchen this time. There’s all kinds of stuff in there - let me know what’s your favorite item in their kitchen. - Poor Cedrick just wanted a Ruben sandwich and a juice box, but unbeknownst to him, his mother Freyja had stashed a fresh Kraken in the fridge for tomorrow night’s dinner. Included in this pic are the Hyōsube they adopted from their last trip to Kiel, their orange Norwegian Forest Cat Klimt, and the mischievous Pink Fairy - all featured in previous pics I’ve drawn over the past couple of months (if not years). - I thought about having the tentacles animated, but after spending so much time drawing and coloring this, I opted to just add text and lines for actions like a comic with a few touches from #pixaloop in the second slide. - Which room will be next? The living room? The master bathroom? Cedrick’s bedroom? Etc.? Luckily Freyja wasn’t there to hear that - she’s a very jealous woman. - Hyōsube is coming to Los Angeles with Papa Kasper and Cedrick while the Kappas will stay in Kiel. Johannes Faustuz will build her a special home consisting of a miniature bathtub and a patch of various types of eggplants in his wife’s garden.
