Another #sketchdump : • Heinrich & Richard’s younger half-sister: Sabrina “Nina”Vandenberg. Sabrina was the result of their mother’s affair with an American soldier she eloped with after giving birth to a second son she didn’t want. Sabrina doesn’t mind her oldest half-brother Heinrich being everyone’s favorite child (she also adores him for his cool & collected demeanor), but like her mother and stepfather, she can’t stand being around Richard and constantly belittles him to show her dominance within the family (both siblings resemble their mother & have the same hot temper). She also doesn’t like Richard’s new girlfriend Sigrid - feeling mostly jealous of her youth, beauty, wit, & ability to cast complex spells (Sabrina is about 5-10 years older than Sigrid and never went to an academy to hone her magical skills). • Both Kasper Brothers have been extremely close since their mother abandoned the family for her lover & their youngest sibling, with Heinrich often protecting Richard from their father’s abuse. Initially she was annoyed seeing Richard, especially when her mother doted over him as if he’s a missing son, but over time Sigrid grew to like her unlikely suitor as she learns of their shared interests and how much nicer he was in comparison to Batty; it got to the point she looked forward to his visits and enjoyed having long conversations about life, slowly falling in love with him (even when he revealed his true identity as Death Himself). • Richard and Sigrid’s romance had been kept secret a year before her classmates discovered them kissing at the local arcade (it was no secret Sigrid had been inviting Richard to trimonthly debutantes under the guise that he was there to observe as her Grim Reaper). Her stepmother, Headmistress of the academy, hoped Sigrid would spend the rest of her life as the school’s most powerful Witch, but was disappointed Sigrid choose to be expelled after violating the rule against dating as a student; Sigrid soon married Richard and moved to Kiel where they could avoid unwanted attention, leading to the end of her life after giving birth to their son. • Though Richard loved Sigrid, as Death he was more than eager to snatch out her soul. Her mother Aina usually treats her wounds when she returns home from school, but this one time she had an appointment & asked Richard to watch over the flower shop. What really pisses him off the most is people attacking others who are defenseless (he broke off his engagement with his ex because she was abusive to his sister-in-law & her children); seeing Sigrid’s face covered up with cuts & bruises was more than enough to trigger his desire to hunt down those who hurt her. • Regardless whether he’s human or Death, Richard is known for his vengeful temper - he takes souls without warning, and leaves behind a bloody scene to warn monsters & humans alike that he doesn’t mess around. Knowing this, Sigrid often has to plead with her boyfriend before he gets too haughty & blinded with rage for her sake. (Kasper men are infamous for being extremely protective of their family members & lovers, the only trait the occult community as a whole admires about the Kaspers) • It’s not often Freyja gets time off with her husband. A California Winter (Remake vs Original) I can say with confidence that my OCs have been consistent, more or less, in the last several years - especially these two. (yes, Cedrick is a big K-Pop Stan - he’s wearing a Felix [Stray Kids] T-shirt, making him a “Stay”) - Quite a bit of people in California think 60F is cold (I know someone who actually thinks 72F is too cold!), but me - I LOVE IT! I’m pretty spoiled with the warm weather most of the year (except Summer - I HATE IT), but it’s nice having cooler weather every now and then. My ideal daytime temp is about 55-60F so I can wear a light sweater or jacket over my usual T-shirt and leggings and be comfortable for the most part (if it’s colder than 50F, especially at night, then I get uncomfortable and crabby if I’m not wearing enough layers). This was sitting in my Drafts for almost a whole entire YEAR! 😵‍💫 But it’s Holiday Season again, so now’s a good time to post it (then archive it, lol). It’s Papa Kasper dressed up as a Heavy Metal Rocker Christkind.🤘🎸👑 [original 2021 commentary below] If Papa Kasper had his take on the Christkind, he’d be wearing all black and gold like a rockstar, lol. (And Jesus totally looks like a metal rocker too… or hippie… huh…🤔) Despite being stoic, academic, and very by-the-book most of the time, Faustuz does has a bit of a bad boy 1980s-1990s metal rocker that occasionally wants to be channel out (the long hair and singing karaoke with his cousin Hansel kinda hint at it). Even though their son Cedrick put a lot of effort into making this outfit, there’s no way Mama is passing up the opportunity to have her husband all dolled up in a traditional holiday costume for charity. Haven’t posted these as a post; made these around Halloween/Day of the Dead timeframe. - Death is normally in his skeletal form, but every 500-1,000 years Fate allows him to become human only for a limited amount of time by fusing his essence to an unborn stillborn fetus (a soulless shell practically) and growing up to early adulthood; he’s been “reborn” mostly within the Kasper Family since he’s fond of their dark reputation and “Odin’s Eye”. Starting at age 21-22 (when the human skeleton is fully fused) he starts being able to transform back and forth from his fleshy self into his true skeletal form; however, with each transformation he looses a little bit of his flesh from the inside out until nothing remains inside his torso and is proclaimed dead (basically it’s like Tuberculosis - he’ll cough up blood and pieces of organs when he’s back to being human). Richard was actually his longest living incarnation due to better nutrition, healthcare, and preservation methods compared to earlier eras (prior times he couldn’t live past 23). Richard died when he was about the same age his son Johannes-Faustuz is right now, which is why many wonder if he’ll become just like his father or live twice as long being half Deity. Death can be summoned by his descendants at anytime and can obtain human form up to two weeks when assisting with killing god-tier monsters. - Sigrid was basically a Witch, but Wicca class (only able to cast spells with potions; the other class of Witch, Enchantress, is able to cast spells only with inner magic - thus Wicca are seen as inferior despite being the original form). Though she was the only Wicca in the academy, she was ranked top student having the highest magical potential on record (she inherited it from her Warlock father). Eleventh OC for my wardrobe prompt: Johannes Faustuz (better known as Hr. Dr. Kasper)/Pajamas This guy really doesn’t need much of an introduction - he’s one of my first original OCs following after Cedrick (he’s his father after all). His personality is mostly nice with crass and sarcastic undertones, but overall he means well and goes out of his way to help others even to the detriment of his patience and sanity; he sometimes risks injury if it means protecting those unfamiliar with mythical creatures and monsters. He works as an oncologist or substitute professor during the daytime, Grim Reaper at night. Johannes is the result of a relationship between Death Himself (Richard at the time during his brief time as a human) and Sigrid who was cursed to die before reaching her 18th birthday (she died from complications of childbirth). His relationship with his father is strained, especially with feeling abandoned since he was almost 4 when Death couldn’t maintain his human form much longer. And personally I do like beer and cider more than wine (I also like spiked fruit-flavored seltzer water and soju 💀). - We finally get an epilogue with these two buds after years being isolated due to COVID-19: they’re back to hanging out at the bar after work!🍻 And it starts off the usual drama that occurs whenever they’re out, especially when Vinnie is around (Vincent-Claude is their boss’ son and Tyrone’s niece Tricia’s Biology/Anthropology professor; whenever he’s doing other work, Hr. Dr. Kasper substitutes for him). It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these… • Richard enjoys new technology whenever it comes out, especially with his true self being an entity existing over hundreds of thousands of years (Death loves watching mankind struggle to survive and progress, hoping one day it’ll become a challenge to collect their souls). As a teenager, Sigrid is also drawn to anything new and exciting - and Richard’s Walkman has definitely caught her attention (only thing is that she hates listening to his Disco music from the 70s; Sigrid is a fan of 80s Synth-Pop & New Romance). • In occasions, Sigrid likes taking and using some of Richard’s belongings like she’s a nosy little sister (especially if it’s tech and media related). Richard finds it more cute than annoying knowing Sigrid’s only curious about him and his stuff (as for his actual younger half-sister Sabrina, he hates how intrusive she is because she does so on purpose to infuriate him; Sabrina also despised Sigrid, calling her a “ugly and plain Wicca flower girl”). • Because of their large age gap, people initially didn’t see Sigrid and Richard as a couple (something they took advantage of at first since her school prohibited dating). But as time passed by, it became more apparent that the two were extremely close and always seen together; it was officially confirmed when classmates caught them kissing at the arcade and reported it to their homeroom teacher, leading to Sigrid’s expulsion from the academy (the headmistress was reluctant to expel her since Sigrid was the academy’s top student and her stepdaughter; Sigrid could only stay if she gave up her relationship with Richard, but she refused).
