Something orange for October: it’s Cedrick Kasper and the family cat Klimt.
October 13th is Cedrick’s birthday, and Klimt was his 9th birthday present from his grandfather Erik Ström; Cedrick picked Klimt because he was orange like his grandfather’s cat Klum (Klimt was also the runt of the litter, making him stand out even more amongst his siblings).
As sweet and affectionate Klimt may be, he’s known to cause some trouble bringing in dead or dying critters, drinking out of Papa Kasper’s mug or Stern’s fishbowl, climbing up really high up trees (he’s a Norwegian Forest Cat), or tearing up the family’s emergency supply of toilet paper.
As for Cedrick, he’s a young teenage wunderkind training to become a doctor like his father Johannes Faustuz and grandfather Richard, but also has a knack for crafting things like plushies and clothing like his mother Freyja.
Being the only child of a Kasper and Ström, it’s not quite yet determined whether he’ll become a full-fledged Grim Reaper or occult weapons distributor/manufacturer; unless his parents have more kids (it’s possible but not likely - we’ll see), Cedrick is under a lot of pressure to choose once he’s 21 (right now he likes being a Junior Reaper, and he has plenty of distant cousins within the Ström family who can take care of things for him).

A break from the Hellhound arc - it’s Cedrick’s birthday!
-
For his 9th birthday, Cedrick’s grandfather Erik Ström allowed him to pick any one of his cat’s kittens for a pet (the others were given to other Ström family members). Cedrick picked Klimt, the runt of the litter, because he looks very much like his grandfather’s cat Klum. Like mentioned before, Klimt was named after the Austrian painter famous for his gold paintings due to his orange fur.
-
Erik adopted Klum from a breeder who didn’t want her anymore because she was believed to be too old to have any more kittens; Klum started to eat more than usual, gained weight, and weeks later gave birth to kittens, surprising everyone.
It’s quite obvious how each cat was named - after people with last names that starts with “K”: Klum, Kaulitz, Klimt, Klaus, and Kaiser (a fifth kitten Klein sadly didn’t survive due to illness).

Quick #sketchdump of Papa Ström, Papa Kasper, and Wunderkind.
•Cedrick is caretaker of the many creatures at home whenever his father is away, and obviously each critter has their specific needs so he’s often calling around to find their favorite food.
ie. Fritz the baby Wolpertinger loves turnips, while Junko Akane the Hyōsube craves eggplants (aubergines to most of the rest of the world).
•Erik Ström is just being an annoyed grandpa…
He’s mostly annoyed whenever he’s around his son-in-law Johannes Faustuz, or trying to figure out how to create a post on social media and can’t find his daughter Freyja or grandson Cedrick to help him.
•Hr. Dr. Kasper doing his day job as an oncologist; whenever he’s not busy at the hospital, Faustuz is busy dealing with mythical creatures, souls, and fellow reapers.

Some souls floating around freely and glowing…
-
Souls naturally flow together and gather together in large numbers whenever there’s a Grim Reaper nearby.
If a soul refuses to be gathered, it’ll have the potential of turning into a Poltergeist and cause physical harm to those who are living; once this happens, a Grim Reaper has no choice but to destroy the rogue soul - unless it finds a way to fulfill its unfinished business without causing too much damage.

Simple drawing, first one in a while…
As long as I don’t clench my hand too much and wear my wrist brace, it’s not too bad...
(I should invest in getting a wrist support for typing too)
-
It’s Stern the Amabie, one of the Kaspers’ many creatures they’ve taken in whenever they’re in need of a home for whatever reason.
Stern was found at the backyard by the family cat Klimt, who carried her to Hr. Dr. Kasper’s desk as a “present”; she was flown there by a red-tail hawk nesting in a tree, and escaped its nest full of chicks only to fall down and nearly die from sun exposure and dehydration.
Cedrick does his best to keep all the critters happy as caretaker while his father is busy away at work; Stern doesn’t require much other than her water being changed weekly and fed fish flakes daily, but she’s known to crawl out of her fishbowl every now and then to enjoy a bath in a hot cup of tea and chat with her fellow Yōkai Junko the Hyōsube.

Papa Kasper and son’s fantasy versions, including past drawings going all the way back to 2017.
-
Johannes Faustuz wears something that resembles a mage and plague doctor; Cedrick wears something like an imperial military uniform (he was conscripted to join The Mad King Erik’s elite naval guard).
Both are skilled in magic, making potions, treating illnesses and injuries, and Necromancy - something only descendants of Death and Blood Elves know.

The last one: Faustuz’s fantasy design; he would also have a robe (black or white) to cover up, completing his Reaper/Doctor look.
Last slide shows the family all together in one pic.

“
Fantasy Concept: Faustuz Kasper
•Necromancer Mage
•Human/Elf Hybrid
•Son of Death
-
•Age: 40
•Blood Type: AB
•Height: 195cm/6’5”
•Weight: 75kg/165lb
-
Frau-Sama’s Notes:
Faustuz’s outfit was inspired by Medieval plague doctors and shamans; he wears earthy, dull colors to show his clan’s connection with Death himself. His weapon of choice is a scythe.

•REPOST EDIT: I had complaints about the original version, so I had his collar changed to solid gold.
You can see the original on the 2nd slide for yourself, but I’ll have to put a ⚠️ disclaimer since someone got triggered.
———————————————
It’s been ages since I’ve drawn a fantasy version of any of the Kaspers; of the three, Cedrick’s design is the simplest to draw, but also possibly the most controversial because he has a white imperial naval uniform.
Comment below if you want me to draw his parents next (Freyja’s design is the most elaborate; Faustuz’s look always changes slightly each time I draw his fantasy design).
-
For those who can’t read my cursive:
“
Fantasy Concept: Cedrick Kasper •Necromancer Mage
•Hybrid Pedigree (Elf/Human)
•Grandson of the “Mad King”
-
•Age: 15
•Blood Type: AB
•Height: 180cm/6’0”
•Weight: 65kg/140lb
-
Frau-Sama’s Notes:
Cedrick’s outfit was inspired by old imperial naval and fascist uniforms; the black and white coloring resembles skeleton bones, while the red beads are for blood. His weapon is an oversized scalpel.

Quick drawing featuring Freyja Ström-Kasper in her fantasy Viking princess form.
You don’t want to mess with this mama and her family in this alternative universe.

As for her hubby and their kiddo… I might draw their fantasy versions another time when I’m not feeling so bleh.

Junior Grim Reaper Cedrick Kasper and his pet Hellhound/Doberman Frl. Flicka
-
It’s a pic that’s been sitting idle for some time that finally got finished, but it might go into Archives since it’s not a pic with much thought (I do like his outfit though, so I might recycle that idea for something else).
I’ve just been really tired lately trying to readjust myself having to move around and dealing with work, and Artist Block is in effect again.
