Cedrick actually has a fear of Santa Clause because he’s actually just scared of his grandfather. Practically everyone is so focused on everything else but you. You can’t compete against Jesus and consumerism. You hear nonstop carols reminding you that you’re getting older. Therefore, you can turn into a bit of a grumpy old grinch. - Growing up I hardly had any birthday parties because all my classmates have their own family gatherings to attend. Even to this day, people get really cheap just giving me one gift for both my birthday and Christmas - and often it’s holiday themed which can get a bit annoying since it’s not practical for any other time of the year. Doctor Leyon DeValuer and Herr Doktor Cedrick Kasper. - It’s not often you see the director wearing #scrubs but he does wear them occasionally, especially when he’s overseeing Cedrick performing operations with his father Johannes Faustuz. Leyon loves to randomly show up and loom around, which scares most people at the hospital. But often times he’s busy with meetings and administrative functions, leaving a lot of work to his protege Faustuz. - If he’s not wearing Adidas sneakers with mismatched socks, Cedrick wears slippers; this time he’s rocking out some #pinkslippers. Why slippers? Well, I remember when I was learning some German back in the day, there’s a phrase about putting on one’s slippers meaning to hurry up and go out to do something quickly (I seriously cannot remember how to say it 😑). Professor Vincent-Claude DeValuer and Herr Doktor Johannes Faustuz Kasper. - I’m taking a break from the comic for character sheets related to it. Part 1 focused on these two. End of Part 1. - Vincent-Claude doesn’t get along with his father for many reasons; it’s why he has a bit of a “Bad Boy” vibe doing things that makes Leyon upset such as smoking, womanizing, getting tattoos and piercings, and not following in his footsteps by becoming an university professor instead of a doctor. Page 6. Nope - he’s late. 😅 It might not take him long to get ready, but he hates being rushed to do so. Rushing leads to mistakes, mistakes causes issues, issues makes everyone angry, and when everyone isn’t happy it’s just trouble and misery for the rest of the day. - For me, I have “Call Time” before everything actually starts at work - you have to turn things on, set up stuff, put new information in, have graphics ready, etc., and that’s usually about 2 hours before first post. And even when I’m not working, I try to aim to arrive for appointments at least 10-15 minutes early just in case I have to fill out paperwork; 30 minutes early if I know parking is going to be an issue. It sounds crazy to think I’m going to be late when I technically still have time, but I want to be at my destination without rushing. Oh, and don’t get me started on what is called “Filipino Time” - it drives me insane when people you’re expecting show up over an hour late! Seriously - my brain hurts after writing in French and German, but it’s a character trait I want to show in some form whether it’s right or wrong. 😭 •3) English inside a speech bubble with German flag colors 🇩🇪 to show that he’s speaking in German. It’s the other option in mind to use if I can’t write either French, German, or any other language properly but want to show that the character is speaking that language. Page 4. - To be called by his first name only means Vincent-Claude is very concerned about the fruit flies. - The Herr Doktor rarely is called just by his first name - he prefers Johannes Faustuz, Faustuz, Dr. Kasper, or Herr Doktor. He absolutely hates being called Hans (Hans is his cousin Hansel’s/Hanzo’s nickname), and often gets mistakenly called Jonah. Page 2. Whew~ I had to squeeze my brain and use Google a bit to get the French right. I’m ashamed to say that my two-and-a-half years of studying French has been reduced to baby talk, and half-year of German is now just mere random specks of Scheiße. Seriously - you don’t use it, you really loose it. 😓 I can read both languages better than I can speak them, and I can recognize them instantly when I hear/see them, but still, it’s really hard to understand and put things in the right grammar when you haven’t touched it much in years. Ack - What am I doing to myself?! It’s another #comic in the making! WHY~😓😫😭😪😑 - This time we have Johannes Faustuz and Vincent-Claude. These two are in a way close, almost like brothers with Leyon being a mentor to the Herr Doktor and the father of Vincent-Claude. I’d start complaining when it gets below 40F/4C, which happens to be about the same temperature inside the production truck I work in during the winter. I don’t mind the cold during the day; it’s just when the sun goes down or when I’m stuck inside for work is when I start getting uncomfortable, especially if I’m not wearing the right clothes. And I know there’s colder than 40F/4C - it’s snowed here once four years ago, and even that is obviously not the coldest it can get. There’s always someplace else that’s much colder.
