Sigrid’s neighbor/history teacher Mr. Vannderhassen scolding her about her attire and being with Richard. - Aina insists that Richard stays with Sigrid whenever she goes out of the flower shop/house - especially when the neighbor is watching from outside (he’s much older than her, Richard, and even older than her mother Aina). Mr. Vannderhassen has tried reporting Richard for lewd behavior with a minor to the authorities multiple times, but with Aina’s interference and Sigrid insistence that nothing unusual was happening, his claims go unheard. Sigrid will write about another incident he tries to enact, only for it to backfire when Richard reveals himself as a Grim Reaper. (really serious and dark issues here). — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #blackandwhite #halftone #frauv8_ocs

Sigrid never had an attachment with anyone else besides her mother, until Richard suddenly appeared. With each visit, she slowly warmed up to Richard’s charms - especially when he had gifts in hand to coax her out from hiding in the storage room. Each gift was intriguing to her, the first one being a bottle of Chanel perfume, the second a batch of Japanese hard candies, the third a puzzle box with Swiss chocolate truffles inside, and the fourth she waited to open until his return from Sweden: a pair of crystal stud earrings. Sigrid also grew to love his odd-colored eyes, goofy smile, feathery hair, and his voice. — #autodesksketchbook #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #blackandwhite #halftone #frauv8_ocs

Sigrid writes about her first meeting with Richard on Valentine’s Day 1979. - Sigrid initially didn’t like Richard for obvious reasons, but there’s little hints that there are things she immediately liked about him (like his smile), and admitted she finds him attractive. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #comic #frauv8_ocs #ipaddrawing #digitaldrawing #blackandwhite #halftone

Sigrid’s first two dairy entries. - Freyja is shook, realizing that her husband’s mother was only a teenager when she gave birth to him (Johannes Faustuz doesn’t like talking about his parents not only because both had died when he was young, but the fact his father was so much older than his mother and the sigma of his mother being a teen mother). — #autodesksketchbook #femalecharacter #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #comic #blackandwhite #halftone #ipaddrawing #digitaldrawing #frauv8_ocs

Johannes Faustuz is sorting out the random family items he gets from Kiel, this time a box full of Richard’s stuff. - Freyja has heard stories of Richard from both her husband and her father Erik (he was a regular client of Richard’s monster hunting and creature relocating; Richard also treated Freyja’s mother Sonja of her illness). Freyja knows Faustuz is half-Danish on his mother’s side, but she’s never heard anything about Sigrid; now with Sigrid’s diary, Freyja gets to know about her. — #autodesksketchbook #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #comic #blackandwhite #frauv8_ocs #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing

Sigrid is not amused having a Grim Reaper watching over her as she walks home from school in Copenhagen - especially this one. (Richard can be a bit of a creep because he’s much older and taller than Sigrid) - As a teenage girl with less than two years to live, Death decided to have a little mercy on Sigrid by sending Richard from Kiel to “observe her” until her time is up (Death also thought it’d be fun to play with the heart of one of his top reapers just because he can). For her mother Aina, it was a huge relief because Sigrid had been attacked by bullies from school; Sigrid’s history teacher (and neighbor) also had been showing a strong interest in her aside from her academics, often stopping by the flower shop trying to convince Aina that Sigrid needs “extra lessons” (she knows better). Aina also took an instant liking to Richard, knowing despite his past as a playboy and being the younger of 2 sons of one of the deadliest killers of both humans and mythical creatures, he has a good heart and that Kaspers are very serious about taking care of family and loved ones. Richard initially was reluctant with dealing with a girl so young, having pity on her (as well as falling in love, knowing he could be in serious trouble being with a girl over 8 years younger than he is); with Aina’s blessing, Richard made it his goal to take care Sigrid by all means - even if he has to extract souls and give up his own life. — #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #motionleap #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #man #girl #frauv8_ocs

Richard caught another Tatzelwurm, this time it’s a baby one (they range from 1-7ft/0.3-2m long). Whatever Aina has in her garden in the backyard, Tatzelwurms are drawn to it (she does grow rare plants); Tatzelwurms are known to cause havoc wherever there’s significant resources nearby. Richard knows he has to kill the Tatzelwurm or else Aina’s livelihood is destroyed, but with Sigrid around, he has to be discreet about it (he doesn’t like killing in front of females, nor could Sigrid stomach anything so cruel - which she had unfortunately saw Richard do once). — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #couple #malecharacter #femalecharacter #tatzelwurm #mythicalcreatures #ipaddrawing #frauv8_ocs

Richard not feeling well with lovesickness, recovering in Sigrid’s bed. Sigrid was worried that her cold attitude towards Richard was the cause of his lovesickness, afraid he was going to die because of her (Richard pitied her and became so attached, wanting to treat her with the best care before Death collects her soul himself). Aina told her there’s a cure, requiring “the sweet nectar of a maiden’s bud” - but it’s something Sigrid hasn’t fully understand yet being sheltered and expected to die within two years. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #couple #pink #blue #pixaloop #motionleap

Hr. Dr. Kasper’s quirky grandmother, Sigrid’s mother Aina. Aina always kept her past a secret, not saying who was Sigrid’s father, why she changed her last name, how she came to own an oddities and flower shop, etc. Aina is albino, adding to her eccentric character that many fear; she’s often called a witch due to her vast knowledge of spells, potions, medicines, repellents, and cures. Because of this, her only child Sigrid was often teased mercilessly by peers (aside from Sigrid’s love for video games, simple attire, and timid behavior). Aina still lives and works at her flower shop in Copenhagen, Denmark making the same potions and repellents she did for Richard, only this time it’s her grandson Johannes Faustuz using them. — #autodesksketchbook #femalecharacter #characterdesign #charactersheet #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #woman #digitalart #digitaldrawing

Hannah grew up close to her older brother Hansel since both were close in age; the same cannot be said with Hr. Dr. Kasper, whom she always thought of as an annoyance since he replaced her spot in the family as the youngest (she also wasn’t happy when her uncle Richard spent less time with her - especially when Sigrid was around, and after Faustuz was born). Hannah was known as the “Problem Child” in her teenage years, often running away from home with various boyfriends to avoid her mother and younger cousin; but since her father Heinrich’s death, Hannah managed to change her behavior and ambitions in life by becoming a chef and “Critter-Employer” (she has a Kobold working with her in the kitchen, and a Tomte tending her vegetable garden). Hannah still picks on her cousin, but like Hansel, has begun to enjoy his presence now that Faustuz is much older and resembles the man all three adored as children. — #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #woman #characterdesign #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #blue #red #brown #frauv8_ocs

Hr. Dr. Kasper’s oldest cousin, son of Heinrich and Yoko. He’s very much like his uncle Richard chasing after women, only to end up with heartache mainly because he can’t stay faithful and committed to anything or anyone (Richard was also his idol as a child, being the “cool fun uncle”). Like his sister Hannah, Hansel never fully bonded with Faustuz growing up due to their large age gaps; growing older, on the other hand, he enjoys his time with his cousin, especially when Faustuz physically resembles the man they looked up to as children. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #green #red #orange #purple #frauv8_ocs

Hr. Dr. Kasper’s no-nonsense, hard-as-nails mother-figure Tante Yoko. She may be tiny compared to her husband, two children, and nephew, but they all give her respect as the matriarch of the Kasper Family. — #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #woman #characterdesign #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #blue #red #black #yellow #frauv8_ocs

Heinrich is Richard’s chain smoking older brother, the former heir of the Kasper Family. Heinrich forfeited his title as heir when he married a woman not approved by the head of the family, passing it down to his brother and causing a strain to their relationship as close siblings. He also didn’t like his brother’s promiscuous behavior with women over the years; Richard’s relationship with a teenage girl was not an improvement, but Heinrich did eventually warmed up to Sigrid with his wife and children adoring her and himself enjoying playing chess with her (often loosing). After his brother’s unexpected death, Heinrich felt he should take care of his infant nephew Johannes Faustuz and raised him until his own death ten years later from lung cancer. — #malecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #characterdesign #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #blue #pink #yellow #frauv8_ocs

It’s Christmas!🎄 Hopefully everyone is hunkered down and staying safe/healthy this time around. Taking a break from the humans with the Kaspers’ oversized orange fluffball of a cat Klimt. As cute and cuddly as he is, Klimt has been a little monster this year almost eating up little mythical creatures, drinking out of Papa Kasper’s coffee mug, sitting on laptops and tablets during Zoom sessions, and destroying the toilet paper supply in peak quarantine. — #happyholidays #merrychristmas #holidayseason #ornament #norwegianforestcat #orangecat #cat #orange #red #yellow #green #pixaloop #motionleap #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing

Cedrick is currently the youngest member of the Kasper Family, the next heir after his father Johannes Faustuz (he could have a little brother and/or sister if his parents wanted to). It’s said that he resembles both grandfathers Erik Ström and Richard Kasper, but Freyja disagrees and calls Cedrick a mini version of his father (Faustuz thinks he’s more like his mother, always curious and admiring new things). — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #boy #green #yellow #frauv8_ocs

Hey - it’s this guy’s birthday! 🎂 Cedrick will be next, not Freyja (I made hers a long while ago; hers can be found in the “Ström” Highlight), then his uncle, aunt, two older cousins, maybe his grandfather Olaf (“The Black Skull of Kiel”), but definitely his maternal grandmother Aina. I’m not going to say much else about Faustuz since he’s the most known of the Kaspers aside from his wife and son (and more recently his parents). Speaking of parents, just for fun, which parent does Hr. Sigrid is the young Danish schoolgirl under Death’s watch thru the odd-eyed grim reaper Richard Kasper. Sigrid wasn’t initially impressed with Richard’s advances, especially knowing his reputation as a playboy, being much older than her, and coming from a family infamous for their involvement with dark historical moments; but over time with his frequent visits, Sigrid grew more comfortable and attached to her unusual suitor, agreeing to marry him after curing his bout of lovesickness. The pair were unpopular in the sight of many with people assuming that Richard was taking advantage of the teenage girl, but the two were inseparable and deeply in love. Sigrid barely lived long enough to give birth to their son Johannes on 23 December 1981, before Death decided that it was time to collect her soul; Richard was left behind inconsolable and falling seriously ill before he eventually died two years later to join her (this is why Johannes Faustuz hates the holiday season, often spending the whole week locked up alone in his room in silence). — #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #charcterdesign #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #red #blue #brown #frauv8_ocs

I guess I’ll start with Richard with the Kaspers’ “OC Closer Looks” (I’ve done it for the Ströms and Williamses). - Richard is the younger of two sons, but due to familial circumstances, he became the heir of the Kasper legacy as a Grim Reaper and monster slayer. He’s known as a playboy with a crafty wit and hot temper, but with a loyal heart and affection to his family (as all Kaspers are). Recently Death gave him a report of a Danish schoolgirl nearing the end of her life due a life curse, sending him to observe her as an act of mercy; Richard immediately fell in love with the girl, vowing to care for her until Death collects her soul. — #malecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #man #characterdesign #autodesksketchbook #ipaddrawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #brown #yellow #frauv8_ocs
