Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick enjoying the cool breeze of their mini electric fan. Both father and son can’t stand the sun and heat, but Mama Kasper absolutely loves it (Freyja is most likely out in the backyard swimming).
Faustuz is wearing a black mesh tank saying “Made in the 80s” because he literally was (making him a Millennial, not Gen X-er or Boomer as Tricia calls him); Cedrick is wearing a blue cotton crop-top which are quickly gaining popularity amongst teen boys it seems (the 90s are officially back with a vengeance).
Both father and son have their hair up: Faustuz with a man bun and Cedrick with a mini bun/topknot.

It’s been unbearably HOT here in California (currently over 100F/38C🥵). Also on “Power Alert”, so a blackout can happen anytime (it’s happened once when I wasn’t home - all the clocks were messed up, lol).
So stay safe: set those thermostats to 78, use fans, stay in the shade or indoors, drink LOTS of water, relax, and keep them masks on if you are outside despite being super hot (i.e. there was a heatwave in Israel early during the pandemic and cases spiked drastically because people stopped wearing masks due to heat; really shows how effective masks are in preventing infections).
If you really can’t breathe while wearing one in the heat, isolate yourself before removing it to catch your breath, then put it back on and seek shelter indoors.

Soft pencil and marker brushes with pastel colors this time; not my forte, but it’s good practice.
Also looks like Papa Kasper’s glasses are fogging up, but at least the Herr Doktor and his son are wearing their masks correctly over their mouths and noses.
🚨RANT ALERT 🚨
Don’t ask how many people at work I see that don’t cover their noses.
NOSES ARE VIRAL SUPER-SPREADERS! COVER THEM UP! 😷
Seriously - we had all the scientific proof that masks, hand washing, social distancing, and lockdowns worked a century ago with the 1918 (NOT F-CKING 1917!) Pandemic, so we should of bagged COVID-19 in months (the 1918 Pandemic took 2 years to recover from, but keep in mind they didn’t have any of the medical tech we have so millions got sick and died; had we done all the things to reduce a pandemic early on, we probably wouldn’t have as many people sick and dead).
But at the rate things are going with idiots running around in the world, it’s going to be YEARS before it’ll be “normal” again.
(phew - that’s my ranting for a while 😤)
It’s just frustrating seeing everything I’ve learned from Biology classes during the H1N1 and Ebola epidemics happening all over again but in a much bigger and worse scale - and there’s not much I can do about it but do my part wearing my masks, washing my hands, staying home whenever I don’t have work, and sharing the words of Dr. Fauci.

Which shade Freyja wore best?💄
And she’s using her husband’s aviators as a fashion accessory again, lol. Hopefully poor Johannes Faustuz isn’t bumping into too many things without them.
-
I was inspired by an ad for @jeffreestar’s lip colors of all things to make this, lol.
I wish I can wear makeup more often, but with sensitive skin and having to wear masks for more than 8 hours each day I work, it’s not very practical (also, I still get acne like a teen and I’m double the age of a teenager; people still can’t believe how old I am because I look at least 10 years younger partly because of my acne).

Quick poses of Cedrick Kasper and Tricia Williams wearing quarantine attire.
I’d happily wear either of their outfits any day, but what I wear for work is just as comfortable (I usually wear dark leggings with a t-shirt, polo, or soccer jersey, ball cap, and black shoes).
I really enjoy quick fashion pose doodles like these, and sometimes I’d want to make a more elaborate version of them later on (perhaps I should do a poll on which of the two deserves a redraw).

Dickie, I’m so sorry that I made you kinda look like a botched Arnie. At least he has a cool “Jojo Pose”...😭
Seriously not my best work, either one of them. I had another idea in mind when I started, but it’s late and I’m tired... (I’ll just make it into a comic page if I get back to the idea). Gawd I feel worthless after drawing this...
-
•OC INFO: Richard’s nickname is “Dickie”, not “Ricky” or “Richie”; his older brother Heinrich’s nickname is actually “Ricky”, not “Henry” as expected. Sigrid calls him “Dick” as a jab on his playboy ways, even after they’ve become a couple for life.
-
This won’t be my only take on the #artstylebend challenge going on (my challenge is good until the 23rd). The next pic based off the prompt could be a female OC since female bodies are obviously not the same as males. And drawing only using soft brushes is not easy (coloring with soft brushes, on the other hand, is actually easier than hard shading/lighting for me). This just shows that even I can still suck at drawing.😫

An aesthetic pink color scheme on a pic that’s making everyone turn pink for all kinds of reasons.🤭

This isn’t my “Artist Bend Challenge” pic.
I have a vague idea once I get enough art characteristics to remove (it’s related to the chibi versions of Sigrid and Richard featured in the Instastory, not this pic of them here).
You still have time to add to the prompt - details in my Instastory Highlight if you want to participate.

Looks like Sigrid was caught eying Richard from her mother’s flower shop...
-
It seems like these two had been becoming more popular according to stats. Maybe because it’s the fact they’re from 1980 (aesthetics of the 1970s-90s are in), look cute together as a couple (though in today’s standards Richard most likely wouldn’t be allowed to date Sigrid since he’s 23 and she’s 16), or that their story is very romantic but also a sad one (they both die within a year from each other, leaving their son behind to be raised by his extended family). Maybe it’s all three? Either way, I try my best to mix things up.

Quick #charatersheet of Sigrid and Richard, circa 1979-1980.
-
When Richard first saw Sigrid at her mother’s flower shop on Valentine’s Day, he was not only lovestruck with her beauty, but was shocked seeing she only had less than five years to live using his Odin’s Eye on her; he figured out Death had sent him to watch over her on her final days of life.
Sigrid’s mother Aina explained that she was cursed when she was a newborn by her own father who was greedy in extending his own life, leaving Sigrid less than twenty years. Richard was saddened, saying that as a teenager Sigrid should spend time with her friends and her boyfriend if she had one instead of working at the shop; Aina laughs, further explaining that Sigrid was a loner and has no boyfriend. Richard was then determined to woo Sigrid not only because he was in love with her, but also because he wants her to live the rest of her life to the fullest before Death comes for her.
At first Sigrid was wary of his advances, knowing his reputation as a hotheaded playboy; she was reluctant to accept his weekly gifts of candy, perfume, and jewelry, but over time, she slowly lowered her guard to allow him a farewell kiss on the cheek. But after about a year, Richard’s lovesickness takes the best of him, making him pass out from fever and starvation. Sigrid felt terrible, afraid he was going to die because of her stubbornness. Aina comforts her daughter and tells her that Richard wasn’t going to die - he just needs to “spend the night with her” to cure his lovesickness, which Sigrid immediately protests since she’s never been with a guy before.
After that memorable night, Sigrid and Richard were inseparable as a couple; they were married in two months, expecting their son the following year.

I think my eyes hurt from staring at this guy for too long...😭
Doesn’t help that I also stay up past Midnight for multiple nights.😫
-
Besides looking all pretty in pink, Hr. Dr. Kasper has plenty of pour-over coffee and traditional sweets for himself on the side: Baumkuchen, Prinsesstårten, and Strudel.
Both Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick have “Odin’s Eye” which requires a lot of energy to maintain, so often father and son will fight over snacks and caffeine when they’re available. Most of the time Papa Kasper gives up for the sake of his son’s needs over his (as any parent would do, plus Cedrick is quickly catching up with him on size as a teenager), making him at high risk of being an easily irritable hangry monster around other people (he’s not called “Hot-Headed Hans” for no reason).
—
These kind of pics take a LONG time to make - even longer if I put more painful effort of shading and lighting. Part of the time it’s gathering references, other times it’s picking and playing with color schemes (that’s why there’s a bonus cyan blue version here), but it’s mostly the drawing and coloring process that takes so long (especially the drawing when there’s tiny details).
-
One of them days this old millennial here have to play with REELS using video versions of my pics just for funzies (because why not 😛). Experimenting can be messy, but it’ll be a learning process.
