#inktober #flower pic no.4 - #sunflower - (I know I messed up the order of my prompt, but whatever, lol) My grandfather always called these flowers “weeds” in his corn fields, but sunflowers can be useful being grown for their seeds and oil. They grow up very tall, are symmetrical in shape, and are very recognizable with their bright yellow petals resembling the sun. According to Hanakotoba (the Japanese art of speaking with flowers), this flower called Himawari represents respect, passionate love, and radiance. - The line art was done with #ink, but I colored it in digitally with #autodesksketchbook using a basic marker brush. - For this pic, it’s a young Johannes Faustuz Kasper wearing traditional clothing with a pretzel in hand. And like a sunflower, he’s simple in appearance, grows up much taller than everyone else around him, and is always reliable whenever he’s needed. — #inktober2018 #inkdrawing #inkart #inkartwork #digitalcoloring #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #pilotpen #fountainpen #pentel #pentelpen #tradio #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #child #boy #german #himawari

#inktober #flower pic no.5 - #daffodil - (I’m a Dummkopf - I accidentally skipped no.4; I’ll have it done next, but again, this is my prompt and I go at my own pace, lol) Also known as #narcissus, these flowers are usually bright yellow and white, sometimes orange and pink. Many bloom during the winter and early spring months, and grow in a variety of conditions. They return year after year, which may be the reason why they’re used to represent respect and resilience. - This is another nod to an old pic of Vincent-Claude I made back in 2006-2007 in my dA gallery where he is holding a single daffodil; this time he has two in hand with his hair tied up and #tattoos in view. — #inktober2018 #inkart #inkartwork #inkdrawing #blackink #pens #pilotpen #fountainpen #pentel #tradio #frixion #crayola #crayolamarker #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #malecharacter

#inktober #flower pic no.3 - #orchid - These tropical flowers come in so many forms and shapes, from female bees to monkey faces (yes, look it up - it’s no joke). They’re very beautiful but also very delicate and require care. - I’m just cramming in as many of these I can before I get busy with work again; therefore, I’m probably putting a lot of people to shame being able to spew out three out of my #inktober2018 prompt in about a day when many barely are able to make one in a day (Sorry/not sorry, lol). This is a typical #inkdrawing that’s all #blackink, which makes it a bit more plain and simple. And I’m currently in love using the #clearfountainpen - one of many things I’ve bought from @maidosantaanita (I LOVE that store for art supplies). — #moleskinecahier #moleskine #sketchbook #pens #kuretake #kuretakebrushpen #whitebrushpen #pilotpen #fountainpen #pentelpen #tradio #blackwhite #inkart #inkartwork

#inktober #flower pic no.2 - #tulip - Tulips come in various colors and are one of the most popular flowers people grow in their gardens. They’re originally from around Turkey, but are also associated with the Netherlands due the Dutch being obsessed with these flowers in the 17th century. - This pic is kinda a nod to an old drawing I made of Cedrick back circa 2006-2007 using mainly #sharpiemarkers (it’s in my dA gallery somewhere). But this version the wunderkind is actually a kind, and I used multiple #inkbased media aside from #sharpie. - For #inktober2018, I’m just going to follow my prompt and cram as many as I can do while I don’t have work - my job has been uber busy and demanding lately, especially with Columbus Day coming up this month (that means working on a holiday, though many don’t consider it a real holiday, lol). And that means I might actually do more than the usual 31 pics, which my #flower prompt allows for. — #originalcharacterdrawing #originalcharacter #malecharacter #boy #child #inkart #inkdrawing #inkartwork #pilotpen #fountainpen #midliner #midliners #midlinerhighlighters #sharpiemarker #crayolamarkers #crayolablendingmarkers #sketchbook #molskine #moleskinecahier

#inktober #flower pic no.1 - #rose with #babysbreath - Roses are classic flowers that often represent love, beauty, and grace. They’re also a birth flower of June alongside Honeysuckle. - Freyja’s birthday is in late June, making her a Cancer; kinda funny because she’s married to an oncologist (doctor who diagnoses/treats cancer). — #drawing #inkdrawing #inkart #inkartwork #inktober2018 #originalcharacter #flowers #femalecharacter #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #fountainpen #sharpiepen

It’s a rough drawing that might get cleaned up and colored - we’ll see. 🤷🏻‍♀️ - The hospital crew together watching their wunderkind try to either beat a boss level in some game, or using a game controller as a remote to fix something technical; either way, it looks intense. - Top Left to Bottom Right: •Leyon DeValuer🇫🇷: hospital director/geneticist •Tyrone Williams🇺🇸: pediatrician •Johannes Faustuz Kasper🇩🇪: oncologist •Kimiko Abe🇯🇵: nurse •Cedrick Kasper🇩🇪: surgeon •Fatima Khan🇵🇰: cardiologist — #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipadprodrawing #ipadprosketch #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalcharacters #originalcharacterdrawing

Tricia Williams and Cedrick Kasper... and Cedrick really looks a lot like his father with that #glare under those #glasses, lol. - They look like they could be a #couple, people often ask, and even Tyrone wishes they would go out on dates, but they’re definitely not a couple. - The biggest source of their tension is that Tricia often skips out in babysitting her little cousin Queenie for hangouts with her bestie Carmen either at the mall or local cafe, leaving her uncle Tyrone calling up Cedrick to cover for her whenever he’s free from work. Cedrick is also a few years younger than Tricia (he’s 15 while she’s 18), making her view him as “little spoiled brat” despite him being taller and a wunderkind completely done with school; she also makes fun of him and Hr. Dr. Kasper, which gets her uncle very nervous. As for Cedrick, he doesn’t think much of her other than irresponsible and capable of doing better if she stops skipping out of babysitting and occasionally school (he tries to help her out with homework, especially since she’s almost done with high school); he tries to avoid her as much as possible to prevent arguments and her teasing, but whenever he does have to be around her, Cedrick tries his best to be as cool-headed like his father. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #teenagers #teenageboy #teenagegirl #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #bluejeans #whiteshirt #frauv8_ocs

Today’s #workdrawing: Tyrone’s family - his niece Tricia, wife Asia, and daughter Queenie. - Tricia is Tyrone’s older sister’s daughter, who he ended up being her guardian after tragic circumstances. She’s got attitude like any teenage girl, and hates babysitting her cousin Queenie - she’d rather hang out at the mall with her best friend Carmen. Because of that, Tyrone often has to call up Cedrick as a last-minute boy-sitter whenever she bails; this leads to a lot of tension between the two teenagers despite Tyrone wanting the two to get along. Tricia claims she doesn’t like Cedrick, but Queenie thinks otherwise and gets jealous. - Tyrone met his wife randomly at a sports bar; they made a bet on which (American) football team would win, and Tyrone won, in which Asia had to go out on a date with him. At first, she didn’t like him, but after finding out that he takes care of his elderly grandmother while studying hard to become a doctor, she decided to give him a chance, and the two eventually got married and had their daughter Queenie. Asia owns and runs a beauty salon, which Freyja has given high ratings in her magazine. - Quinella, or “Queenie” as everyone calls her, is Tyrone’s adorable daughter who just started kindergarten. She’s mischievous, adventurous, and likes to run away from her father whenever she can - especially if he refuses to give her something she wants. She’s likes being around her cousin even though Tricia gets annoyed with her. Queenie is also very attached to Cedrick like a little sister, and gets jealous whenever he’s around Tricia, Carmen, or any other girl. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #femalecharacters #sketchbook #dottednotebook #leuchtturm1917 #penart #pendrawing #inkart #inkdrawing #pilotpen #frixion #frixionball #frixioncolors

I originally planned to draw 4 more characters, but I’m so tired~😑💤 - Here are the missus: • Freyja Ström 🇸🇪 (Married to Hr. Dr. Kasper) • Asia Williams 🇺🇸 (Married to Dr. Williams) Both are ambitious beauties who married men that most people would be scratching their heads in confusion to figure out why. For Freyja, she thought how Asia and Tyrone met was really romantic; as for Asia, she’s still in disbelief that her favorite TV idol is married to someone she sees as a dork and lacks style. - Freyja was a new student from Sweden when she first met Johannes Faustuz, who was the classic class geek. She grew very interested in him when she saw him read books such as “Great Expectations” alongside science and comic books at the library, and felt pity for him once she found out he was a poor orphan raised by his aunt - so much that she often brought two lunches from home so she can feed him and he can “grow up nice and tall” (he was much shorter than her at the time). The two children grew up in love despite her father’s disapproval, which led her to being disowned for several years until Cedrick was born. So it’s Beauty and the Geek/Rich Girl meets Poor Boy for Freyja and Faustuz. - For Asia, she lost a bet against Tyrone regarding sports, which he had bet to take her out to dinner. She obviously didn’t find him attractive and still can’t stand his terrible jokes, but one day she found out that Tyrone takes care of the grandmother who had raised him while studying hard to become a pediatrician and working at the local gas station. This made her rethink how she should treat Tyrone, and from there the two got married and had their daughter Queenie. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdesign #femalecharacters #female #women #ladies #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #redhair #redhead #naturalhair #afro #frauv8_ocs
