Erik Ström isolated from the rest of the family, regardless of which timeline (Freyja stuck in Sweden with her father and cousins, or Erik with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in quarantine in California). He’s not that old (late 60s) - but definitely old enough to get really sick if he’s not careful. Johannes Faustuz might not be fond of his father-in-law, but as a doctor, he’s very concerned about the old man’s health keeping his distance tenfold in the guest room/suite. - Papa Ström has been working remotely with his shipping business hectic since people are ordering essential supplies nonstop. Luckily he has his daughter Freyja around to keep him focused and able to fix his technical problems (he’s not very good with mobile devices and apps). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #lineart #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #indoors #window #stayathome #blue #pixaloop #frauv8_ocs

The Kaspers’ laundry room done with a vibrant color scheme.🧺 - Freyja was out of bed clothes, so she took her husband’s last pair of clean pajamas for the night; she hoped to get laundry done before he finished showering. But it didn’t take long for Johannes Faustuz to catch up with her; only in underwear, he had to bypass several sleeping creatures in the hallway, a watchful father-in-law in the guest room, and a teenage son playing video games on the living room TV - without being seen. (Faustuz just wanted to tell Freyja that she could of left the pants for him while she wears his shirt; he might as well as wait for a pair of sweatpants to finish drying before going back) - Line art on the last slide for anyone to color in. It’s #aprilfoolsday today, yet it’s just another somber day in quarantine/social distancing (I’m still working 3 days a week, so yes, I’m an essential worker risking my health for people’s “entertainment” providing graphics on screen). - Something seems off with Cedrick this time - any guesses? (If you’ve been following me for a while, you’d notice it in regards to this OC’s clothing preferences) His hair is getting a bit shaggy too since no barber shops or salons are open with lockdown. And all three pets are with him, which doesn’t happen often. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #lineart #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #teenager #teenageboy #teenboy #pets #dogs #cat #stayathome #frauv8_ocs #blue #pink #yellow

This is what Johannes Faustuz is currently wearing as he works at the hospital. Normally Hr. Dr. Kasper does consultations and surgery to remove cancer tumors, but with elective surgeries delayed, he’s set aside to triage and test patients for COVID-19. - The sad news that keeps coming up: unfortunately doctors and nurses are in shortage of PPE to shield themselves from infected patients. Lots of fashion corporations are sewing up gowns and masks to help with the shortage, and places like tattoo boutiques are donating gloves; if you have extra equipment, please donate to your local hospitals. There’s also another glimmer of hope in the news in regards to PPE: some hospitals are testing if UV light is safe to use repeatedly on face shields, masks, and gowns for disinfecting so they can be used again; the downside to UV is that it tends to break materials down quickly (labs are sanitized by shining high levels of UV overnight to destroy germs). - It’s important that these guys don’t get infected - if everyone gets sick at once, more people will unnecessarily die. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #man #doctor #ppe #personalprotectiveequipment

Poor Queenie. She’s over stuck being home watching “Frozen” nonstop. She just wants to see her dad and his coworkers again. But she can’t. If he’s not busy with medical work or chasing after monsters and his pets, you’ll find Johannes Faustuz reading books just like when he was a boy (he’s reading fairy tales by Franz Xavier Von Schönweth). It’s the love of reading books that brought Freyja and Faustuz together despite their social class and language barriers when they first met as children. It’s one reason why they named their son Cedrick (different spelling from the original “Cedric”), after literary characters from “Ivanhoe”, “Little Lord Fauntleroy”, and “Harry Potter” (the other reason is the meaning of the name: bounty, love, powerful king). — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #woman #cat #readinginbed #blackandwhite #mangastyle #halftone #frauv8_ocs

Freyja and Frl. Flicka in their new morning routine. In this timeline with the Kasper-Ström family quarantined together, with Johannes Faustuz busy working at the hospital, Freyja has to step up feeding the dogs in the morning (Cedrick feeds the cat; Grandpa is isolated as much as possible tending the garden). ——— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #animestyle #femalecharacter #woman #dog #doberman #frauv8_ocs

A green color scheme this time. And these two being cute and cuddly as usual. - I included both versions, glasses and without glasses 🤓 (not hair up/hair down this time; he normally has his hair down when he’s not working anyway). When I had the chance to walk around outside the other day, I noticed another invasion of organisms floating in the air: BUTTERFLIES! And “Schmetterling” happens to be my all-time foreign word - which happens to translate to “Butterfly” from German (“Papillon”, French for “Butterfly”, is also cute). These migrating butterflies look like Monarchs (which they probably are), but another possibility is the Painted Lady (they’re also orange, but not as cute). So I ended up drawing this. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #lineart #femalecharacter #woman #redhair #redhead #sittingpretty #butterflies #monarch #monarchbutterfly #monarchbutterflies #orange #frauv8_ocs

Tyrone and Kimiko on lunch break with Johannes Faustuz. (when there’s no virus) — If Tyrone’s wife Asia finds out he got hold of a beef burger, she’s going to be uber pissed (Asia is vegan, and she usually delivers her homemade lunches for him); he snags his burgers from Hr. Dr. Kasper whenever he treats his colleagues with the best burgers and shakes in SoCal (Faustuz normally has packed bento boxes, sandwiches, and juice boxes in his office refrigerator). - Kimiko usually settles with a bowl of ramen from the vending machine and bottle of tea; if she’s ambitious, Kimiko would have made her own sushi rolls for lunch. For fun, she likes to compare her bento boxes with Faustuz’s (he was raised by a Japanese aunt). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #malecharacter #man #doctor #femalecharacter #woman #nurse #frauv8_ocs

A another quick pic of this guy - again. It’s always a debate every time I draw Johannes Faustuz: Hair up? Hair down? — Normally it would be up for safety and practical reasons at work, but if Papa Kasper is taking a break or isn’t at work, his hair is let loose and untied. Either way, he’s always busy with something - often with a cup of coffee in hand. - So why exactly does he have such long hair? Well, Faustuz did had shorter hair as a child and teenager; but after having Cedrick and becoming a junior doctor, he has less time to take care of himself and gave up on haircuts (except for occasional donations for cancer patients). Once Freyja noticed her husband’s locks was getting long, she was ecstatic to style his hair - starting with braids and the “Man Bun”. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #malecharacter #man #doctor #frauv8_ocs

Frl. Flicka and Cedrick seem to be getting along lately. Normally she ties Cedrick up in knots with her leash before morning walks, or chases him out of the bathroom while he’s taking a shower; for whatever reason, Frl. Flicka likes picking on Cedrick since the Kaspers adopted her. But with Papa Kasper busy at the hospital, Frl. Flicka has lessened her mischievous behaviors to ensure that she gets more treats and praise whenever her favorite master gets back home. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #teenageboy #dog #doberman #blackandwhite #mangastyle #halftone #frauv8_ocs
