- Pg. 1: Finished Pg. 2: Line Art (feel free to color in with tag @frauv8) Pg. 3: Rough Sketch Pg. 4: Cleaned Up Line Art Video Pg. 5: Coloring Process Video I think I’m a week too early for #oktoberfest to be posting this, but whatever. Prost! 🍻 (Don’t expect much more German out of me - I’m going to butcher phrases since I haven’t touch it in a long time. Same goes for French. 😅 ) - Anyway, it’s the Kaspers being a bit festive for the celebration: Johannes Faustuz is grumpy as always, Freyja is dressed up in #lederhosen instead of a dirndl, and Cedrick is happy just for the chance for a large cold #stein of #beer. It’s a simple pic, but there’s still quite a bit of attention to detail - mainly Faustuz’s and Cedrick’s shoes (#Puma vs. #Adidas) and the #jersey (it’s the green training jersey without the gold FIFA World Cup patch since France is now the current champion). — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #originalcharacterdesign #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #speeddrawing #speedcoloring #family #familyofthree #fathermotherson #father #mother #son #germany #germany🇩🇪 #german #drinking #drinkingbeer

Today’s #workdrawing: Tyrone’s family - his niece Tricia, wife Asia, and daughter Queenie. - Tricia is Tyrone’s older sister’s daughter, who he ended up being her guardian after tragic circumstances. She’s got attitude like any teenage girl, and hates babysitting her cousin Queenie - she’d rather hang out at the mall with her best friend Carmen. Because of that, Tyrone often has to call up Cedrick as a last-minute boy-sitter whenever she bails; this leads to a lot of tension between the two teenagers despite Tyrone wanting the two to get along. Tricia claims she doesn’t like Cedrick, but Queenie thinks otherwise and gets jealous. - Tyrone met his wife randomly at a sports bar; they made a bet on which (American) football team would win, and Tyrone won, in which Asia had to go out on a date with him. At first, she didn’t like him, but after finding out that he takes care of his elderly grandmother while studying hard to become a doctor, she decided to give him a chance, and the two eventually got married and had their daughter Queenie. Asia owns and runs a beauty salon, which Freyja has given high ratings in her magazine. - Quinella, or “Queenie” as everyone calls her, is Tyrone’s adorable daughter who just started kindergarten. She’s mischievous, adventurous, and likes to run away from her father whenever she can - especially if he refuses to give her something she wants. She’s likes being around her cousin even though Tricia gets annoyed with her. Queenie is also very attached to Cedrick like a little sister, and gets jealous whenever he’s around Tricia, Carmen, or any other girl. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #femalecharacters #sketchbook #dottednotebook #leuchtturm1917 #penart #pendrawing #inkart #inkdrawing #pilotpen #frixion #frixionball #frixioncolors

It’s a digital version of today’s #workdrawing: Cedrick enjoying a nice hot soy pumpkin latte among the #fallleaves. Why soy? Like his father, he’s lactose intolerant. And I can tell you firsthand as a SoCal gal, they are delicious, especially iced. - #firstdayoffall means pumpkin spiced drinks, sweaters, and colorful leaves. It’s also my favorite season because #fall food is yummy (I want to go to a real Oktoberfest one day), clothing actually looks good at this time of the year, and it’s not the quite the holiday season yet (I have a good reason to hate the holiday season - my birthday is Christmas Eve and it’s not fun competing with Jesus for attention). — #digitalart #digialdrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #malecharacter #blond #glasses #drinkingcoffee #red #leaves

#throwbacktuesday - an old pic of my #originalcharacters Johannes Faustuz and Freyja, most likely from 2005. - Faustuz was originally a little taller since he’s older than her, and Freyja had golden blonde hair before I changed it to strawberry-blonde to match her personality. The way I have Johannes Faustuz being much shorter even though he’s older than Freyja now is a funnier yet more cuter idea. In the fantasy concept though, Faustuz is taller but that’s because they meet at a later age of 13 when he’s actually starting to grow taller than her. — #digitalart #digitalartwork #boygirl #girlboy #boy #girl #childhoodsweethearts #couple #children

The Beauty and The Bookworm - Freyja and Johannes Faustuz as children. - Freyja always liked Faustuz ever since they met despite her being a rich pretty girl while he’s a poor orphan boy studying his hardest to become a doctor. As to why she likes him, Faustuz still wonders how he got a beautiful wife when he’s such a geek. Maybe it’s their shared love for books, maybe she had pity for him, or maybe she just has the hots for nerdy boys, lol. - He’s older than her by about half a year, but at age 10, Faustuz is much shorter than Freyja. Because of his small size, Freyja thinks she can make him grow up faster like a plant by giving him lots of love and food; of course, it just takes a little longer time for him to catch up compared to the other boys. In 3 years he’ll be as tall as her, 5 years he’ll start getting taller than her, and 8 years he’ll be so tall that she’ll miss being able to snatch him up into her arms so easily - it’ll be the opposite with him sweeping her off her feet when they get married. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #speeddrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdrawing #children #boygirl #girlboy #boy #girl #couple #childhoodsweethearts #hug #hugging #bookworm #beautyandthebookworm

I originally planned to draw 4 more characters, but I’m so tired~😑💤 - Here are the missus: • Freyja Ström 🇸🇪 (Married to Hr. Dr. Kasper) • Asia Williams 🇺🇸 (Married to Dr. Williams) Both are ambitious beauties who married men that most people would be scratching their heads in confusion to figure out why. For Freyja, she thought how Asia and Tyrone met was really romantic; as for Asia, she’s still in disbelief that her favorite TV idol is married to someone she sees as a dork and lacks style. - Freyja was a new student from Sweden when she first met Johannes Faustuz, who was the classic class geek. She grew very interested in him when she saw him read books such as “Great Expectations” alongside science and comic books at the library, and felt pity for him once she found out he was a poor orphan raised by his aunt - so much that she often brought two lunches from home so she can feed him and he can “grow up nice and tall” (he was much shorter than her at the time). The two children grew up in love despite her father’s disapproval, which led her to being disowned for several years until Cedrick was born. So it’s Beauty and the Geek/Rich Girl meets Poor Boy for Freyja and Faustuz. - For Asia, she lost a bet against Tyrone regarding sports, which he had bet to take her out to dinner. She obviously didn’t find him attractive and still can’t stand his terrible jokes, but one day she found out that Tyrone takes care of the grandmother who had raised him while studying hard to become a pediatrician and working at the local gas station. This made her rethink how she should treat Tyrone, and from there the two got married and had their daughter Queenie. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #originalcharacterdesign #femalecharacters #female #women #ladies #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #redhair #redhead #naturalhair #afro #frauv8_ocs

Another one, lol. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Definitely a test run for #inktober. - Wanted to do something different with Johannes Faustuz’s hair this time, and he has a Jared Leto vibe with this style. Faustuz decided to wear one of his son’s sweaters; I almost had him wear a cartoon character sweater (which are on trend right now for young men), but a multi-textured top is a bit closer to his tastes plus it’s a bit more appropriate for his age. Also some #rosecoloredglasses to top things off. — #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #malecharacter #drawing #inkdrawing #inkart #inkartwork #pilotpen #midliners #goldgelpen #permamentmarker #moleskine #moleskinecahier #sketchbook #leaves #fallleaves #acorns #glasses #longhair

I know I’m suppose to be taking it easy and not do much today after yesterday’s trip to the ER, but I can’t help from working on something and keep being busy. 😫 - I could say this is a little hint/preview of what my #inktober pics might look like - it’s not a guarantee because I’d be working on many days, which limits what I can do. I have September’s and October’s #birthflowers drawn here: #cosmos #marigold #calendula #aster #morningglory #forgetmenots - And yes, Cedrick has succeeded in taking his father’s shirt this time, still has his new #bowlcut, and is wearing #aviators very similar to what Johannes Faustuz wears. Ugh... Kimiko isn’t going to be enough to put an IV needle in; she’ll need the other nurse Bernadette to help, and then finally Cedrick to get it in with one go, lol. - I had a bit of a health scare last night that my fiancé had to take me to ER; I’m home from work just for today (doctor’s orders 😞). What happened I was driving home from work, and I had a sudden headache; my right side of my face and right arm was gradually going numb, which is super weird. So just to make sure it wasn’t a stroke or anything else serious, we went to the hospital. What the neurologist and doctor think happened was a complex migraine, in which numbness can occur if triggered; doesn’t help with the stress of commuting and working so many days straight and not sleeping enough - I’m a certified workaholic. - #needles are the worst, yet I’m just so over them at the same time with the number of times I’ve had to be poked and stabbed over the years, lol. I don’t mind shots or blood work, but freaking IVs I absolutely hate. It took not one, not two, BUT THREE PEOPLE to get an IV in me last night; they poked and stabbed both arms, and of course it was the guy who got it in his first stab (I don’t know if it’s just me, but male nurses, doctors, and lab techs seem better with needles; not being sexist, but it’s just personal experience). So my left elbow area has a nice little bruise that’ll be there for some time. *sigh* - Anyway, I’m feeling better now, but they did warn me if it does happen again, I’ll need a MRI done since the CT scans were clear. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #femalecharacter #malecharacter #doctor #nurse
