Tatzelwurms are not to be messed with - they look cute, but they’re extremely vicious and destructive to both plants and Reapers alike. They’re drawn to the scent of rare plants and minerals in the earth, causing them to dig them up and burrow nearby to produce large litters. After countless times getting torn apart and patched up, and Sigrid not very happy about the method of extermination, Richard ponders on creating a repellent to keep Tatzelwurms out of Aina’s backyard. Included are previous mentions and encounters of the Tatzelwurm (and there might be more to come). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #tatzelwurm #comic

Freyja’s homemade specialty: Kraken Surprise - Swedish Meatballs, Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, Mashed Potatoes, Lingonberry Gravy, and a Kraken’s Leg. 🦑 Freyja takes pride in making this dish for her husband and son, but her boys hide from fear whenever she makes it (her father Erik enjoys eating his plate with no problems, proving only a Ström can master the Kraken). - So what’s the surprise? It’s either how bad it tastes (Freyja’s not a great cook, and sometimes would add additional food items that would affect taste and texture), or the fact that the kraken legs will stick on like face huggers from “Aliens” (both father and son would harpoon their kraken legs for hours until they stop moving). Freyja takes offense if anyone at home refuses to eat her specialty dish, therefore she takes extreme measures to make sure her family is “fed properly”. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #animestyle #comic #femalecharacter #malecharacter #woman #man #food #kraken #squid #redhair

#sketchdump into the 1980s with Sigrid and Richard. There was a 4th sketch, but it wasn’t going to fit within IG’s square format - it’s featured in the highlight “SIGRID’S DIARY” for future reference. • Sigrid’s School Uniform.💼 Sigrid attended an all-girls academy run by nuns, priests, and others familiar with the occult and mythical (it’s a mix of a religious high school with Hogwarts). Her uniform is basically a collared white shirt, a red necktie, a blue sweater or blazer with her school emblem (a red shield with a white cross), a red plaid skirt, black stockings / knee socks, and a pair of oxfords; Sigrid often wore pink leg warmers and jellies sandals with her uniform to add vibrant splashes of color. • Off to Tivoli Gardens.🎡🎠 Sigrid lived in Copenhagen where one of the world’s oldest amusement parks resides; it was also the inspiration for the first Disneyland. Tivoli Gardens was one of their favorite places for late night dates to avoid being easily seen by anyone who didn’t approve of their relationship. Sigrid’s favorite rides were the Ferris wheel, swings, and carousel - which also happen to be Richard’s least favorite rides (he gets motion sickness riding them). • Human Anatomy Books.📚 Sigrid loved textbooks - especially ones with illustrations and photos - but her school didn’t have many because the principal wanted to teach the “ancient ways without modern influences”. Since being acquainted with Richard, she had access to the local university’s library whenever he’s working there. Sigrid favorite books were on botany, but her curiosity had gotten the best of her in regards to human male anatomy. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #drawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #blue #green #yellow #red #pink #white

Cedrick Kasper in orange.🍊 (funny how I drew him last year with almost the same shade of orange in the background) - Cedrick’s attire is highly inspired by K-Pop music videos - which he’s a big fan of (he’s also a huge fan of EDM and Industrial/Goth/Metal Rock music). Like his mother Freyja, he’s open to wearing anything he finds fashionable and doesn’t mind crossing gender boundaries when it comes to looks (he’s very much a boy otherwise). — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #teenager #teenboy #boy #fashion #kpopfashion #orange #white #black #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #ipaddrawing #drawing #digitaldrawing

Another #sketchdump, this time with a minimal color scheme. — Richard is usually the creepy one since he’s a Grim Reaper, but this time Sigrid has him creeped out as she sniffs and enjoys her boyfriend’s BO (guys can smell nice too!). — #femalecharacter #malecharacter #man #girl #sketchdump #characterart #characterdesign #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #originalcharacterart #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing

They weren’t dating yet, but Sigrid was in love seeing Richard wear formal work clothes for the first time. She wrote in her diary Richard looked like he stepped out of an Armani advertisement, only in need of a haircut (Armani suits were a big thing in the 1980s). Her face got so red once from blushing that Richard thought she had a fever; he bought several popsicles to cool her down, but Sigrid gave them all away to the arcade owner’s children nearby. Sigrid insisted she was fine, just a bit flustered - which only made Richard more worried and try something else to make her feel better. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #malecharacter #couple #suit #dress #pink #blue

Johannes Faustuz can never get a break from soul collecting because there’s always something or someone dying nearby. Like any task, there’s times it gets so busy he can’t keep up and needs help. Faustuz is also wearing an updated version of his father’s outfit from the 1980s. - Grim Reapers and Monster Hunters are becoming more rare as less people are in tune with the spiritual, mythical, and occult world. And not all souls get collected based on what they are (ie. plant and insect souls are mostly harmless, but animal and human souls - especially those who died suddenly and violently - are extremely dangerous and prone to transforming into monsters that harm the living). Luckily most souls like to gather together and often like to float around the closest Grim Reaper wanting to move on. But there are creatures that like to chase or devour them (cats can be a Grim Reapers biggest annoyance because they not only had multiple lives but also chase souls as if they’re yarn balls). — #malecharacter #autodesksketchbook #drawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterart #scythe #grimreaper #souls #man #clothes

From the Scrap Pile: Death Himself (formerly Richard Kasper) keeping a close eye on his son Hr. Dr. Kasper. (2nd Slide from an old pic drawn over a year ago) Death keeps his wife Sigrid, brother Heinrich, and other beloved people’s souls over his many lifetimes nearby for company. Death mostly stays underground communicating telepathically to Grim Reapers, but occasionally he’ll pop up above ground wearing his black robe to personally deliver case files or join in the fight for a little fun. It took a few years for Johannes Faustuz to figure out that his father was Death all along, making him very spiteful. Faustuz felt like he was abandoned as a child when Richard couldn’t remain “human” without losing chunks of flesh and coughing out bodily fluids - thus Richard “died” when he finally hid away and left his son with his brother Heinrich and sister-in-law Yoko. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #malecharacter #death #grimreaper #scythe #black

#happyfathersday! - It’s back to the 1980s, this time with Richard and a baby Johannes Faustuz. As an adult, Faustuz hates it when people (especially his father-in-law Erik) only focus on how much he looks and sounds just like his father Richard. Personality-wise Faustuz is more like his mother Sigrid (quiet, sarcastic, and introverted with a bit of sass and crude language), which was often brought up by his grandmother Aina whenever he visited her. — #malecharacter #man #baby #babyboy #frauv8ocs #frauv8_ocs #father #son #fatherson #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #drawing #blue #green #yellow #fathersday2021

Some random Richard and Hedy scribblings... 🐈⬛ Richard had taken one of Hedy’s nine lives when he mistaken her for a Tatzelwurm in Aina’s greenhouse. Hedy took an instant liking to him despite what he had done and the fact Richard isn’t much of a cat-person - especially being a Grim Reaper and cats being known for the association with life and death. Richard also doesn’t like dealing with Sigrid’s neighbor/teacher Mr. Vannderhassen for numerous reasons, including the fact Hedy keeps running away and staying in the greenhouse or garden; regardless of the trouble, Richard does care about Hedy even though he calls her a pest. — #autodesksketchbook #malecharacter #man #cat #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #frauv8_ocs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart

Another #sketchdump: Studying/researching with Sigrid and Richard. Whenever Sigrid had a lot of homework and papers to write, she’d ask her boyfriend if he could take her to the local university’s library for better resources (she attended a religious all-girls academy). Sigrid initially didn’t expect Richard to be an academic person since he’s always getting rid of Tatzelwurms and capturing souls around her mother’s house while goofing off and wooing her - thus she assumed he’s more of a jock than a nerd (he was popular as a kid, the opposite of what she was). But after accidentally bumping into him during a field trip to the local university, Sigrid saw his serious side as an Epidemiologist researching plant extracts for some of his patients’ illnesses (Freyja’s mother was one of Richard’s patients). As their relationship progressed, Richard started helping Sigrid with her schoolwork, especially with Math, Science, and English; Sigrid would share her knowledge of plants with Richard since she and her mother Aina grew hundreds of them in their greenhouse that were used for potions and medicines. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #frauv8ocs #frauv8_ocs #couple #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #drawing #books

Still stuck with Artist’s Block and burnout… It’s another #sketchdump. I probably should just draw my OCs wearing random outfits if I can’t think of anything else. Sigrid is wearing a pair of Jellies sandals popular in the 1980s with her usual school attire. She also has a very colorful sporty outfit she’d wear whenever she wants to drop by the local university’s library or arcade. Richard has his signature scythe in hand and wearing his default outfit (wolf fur coat, blue bell bottoms, knitted turtleneck, Adidas Superstars, black leather gloves). His other outfit is what Sigrid expects him to wear as the 1980s gets into full swing (she absolutely hates it when he wears stuff from the 1970s). — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #cat #frauv8ocs #frauv8_ocs #couple #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle
