Another #sketchdump... These are actually great for exploring character relationships and playing around with clothing. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #cats #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #characterdesign #frauv8_ocs
Another #sketchdump with Richard, Sigrid, Aina, and a baby Johannes. - Aina had always been saddened by her daughter’s fate to die young, afraid of Sigrid not living a full life until then. Richard’s appearance was when Aina knew Sigrid’s time was almost up, but she also realized that Death sent the youngest Kasper - an unmarried, handsome traveling Grim Reaper/doctor - to observe Sigrid as a possible act of mercy (Richard isn’t as hasty to kill compared to his father; he also had pity for Sigrid). She was beyond happy when her daughter and Richard finally fell in love, got married, and had a son, but was soon devastated with Sigrid’s predicted demise followed by Richard’s unexpected death; her last glimmer of joy was her grandson Johannes Faustuz, whom she enjoyed taking care of during the summer months whenever he visited Copenhagen from Kiel. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #woman #girl #baby #characterdesign #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing
Another #sketchdump... Pink seems to be the color creeping in here... - I have 2 other pics of Richard and Sigrid saved as drafts but never posted in queue; not sure if I want to post them up anytime soon... Maybe when I’m absolutely stuck with Artist’s Block then I’ll post them (they’re scrapped pics set aside and never posted). — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #cats #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #characterdesign #frauv8_ocs #pink
Another #sketchdump... Artist’s Block sucks... I want to make something, but idk what...💀 — •About Each Sketch: Hedy the neighbor’s black cat had been killed once by Richard (he mistook her for a Tatzelwurm), but having multiple lives, she came back to life even more affectionate towards him much to his dismay. Cats are also closely associated with Death and the occult; Hedy likes being around Richard even though he claims that he hates cats (he really loves cats, just doesn’t like showing it). Oddly Hedy catches and brings back all the souls she finds to him, something cats never do for Grim Reapers (cats like chasing souls away for fun, making it more difficult for Grim Reapers to do their jobs); Richard isn’t an ordinary Grim Reaper. - Sigrid doesn’t wear her glasses often in fear of her classmates bullying her and breaking them; she sees well enough to walk around and ride her bike, but not clear enough to read things or fully recognize a person’s face. *Kaspers wear glasses because their heterochromia; when their green eye isn’t in use, it looses normal vision and puts extra strain on their blue eye. (this is also why they’re often tired, cranky, and suffering migraines if they can’t get hold of a good source of caffeine and snacks - the green eye takes up a lot of energy to use) - As a little girl, Sigrid was told that she wasn’t going to live past the age of 16 due to the curse her father placed on her - thus she would never fulfill her dream of getting married and being a mother just like her mother Aina. To console herself as she grew up, Sigrid turned to collecting seeds and raised lots of plants for her mother Aina’s flower shop, referring to them as her children. One of Sigrid’s final plants was a wisteria sapling, the seed planted the same day when she found out she was pregnant. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #cat #couple #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #frauv8ocs #frauv8_ocs
Another Richard and Sigrid #sketchdump. — Poor Richard had his clothes removed and taken away every time he’s done killing Tatzelwurms in the backyard - Aina got fed up cleaning the blood dripping onto her rugs and would rather wash his clothes instead. Aina did her best to get Richard’s clothes done before Sigrid gets home from school, but occasionally Sigrid had no choice but to deal with a naked Grim Reaper/Monster Hunter locked up in her bathroom. Sigrid was initially upset and embarrassed (especially if she actually needed to use toilet or shower), but over time - and especially when they were officially a couple - she would enjoy teasing him. - There’s also a glimpse of Richard suffering from Lovesickness (mainly caused by expressing nonstop affection and getting constant rejection over a long period of time), the first symptoms being high fever and extreme fatigue. — #femalecharacter #malecharacter #man #girl #couple #characterart #characterdesign #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #originalcharacterart #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing
#sketchdump of Richard and Sigrid again. - Who knew Sigrid had such a snarky attitude and potty mouth?🤭 (their son Johannes Faustuz would inherit both from her, lol) Sigrid also likes it when Richard is wearing his ridiculous gym shorts for obvious reasons 😏 (Aina teases her daughter about how much she stares at his butt whenever he leaves the flower shop). - Sigrid initially hated it when Richard called “Siri”, but as their relationship progressed from friendship to romance, she didn’t mind it as much - in fact, she missed it when he was gone for months at a time when he was traveling for work. After officially becoming a couple, she would giggle every time he whispered her nickname into her ear before kissing her goodbye; this was also the last thing Richard did for Sigrid before she died, knowing that her last memory would be a happy one as he pulled out her soul. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #characterdesign #frauv8_ocs #animestyle #pink #blue #yellow #green #white
#sketchdump of the Kasper Brothers Heinrich and Richard. — Despite their 5-year age gap and opposing personalities, the two brothers were extremely close, often found at the local bar drinking and singing karaoke. — #malecharacter #brothers #men #man #boy #characterart #characterdesign #frauv8_ocs #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing
#sketchdump of the Kasper Brothers and their lovely ladies. — Heinrich met his wife Yoko abroad in Hiroshima, Japan during a business trip there. The two quickly fell in love and married within two months, starting a family as soon as Yoko moved to Kiel with Heinrich. They had two children - a son Hansel, and a daughter Hannah two years later; but because he didn’t have a son who inherited “Odin’s Eye”, Heinrich had to give up his position as family heir to his younger brother Richard. This caused a brief rift in the brothers’ relationship, but Richard quickly bonded with the two children, often spoiling them with candy and toys every time he came home to Kiel. Heinrich and Yoko would take in Richard’s son Johannes Faustuz after he died; Yoko would continue to raise Faustuz as her own after her own children had left home and Heinrich’s death from lung cancer. - Richard and Sigrid took much longer to establish their relationship as a couple. Richard had just broken off his engagement and was sent to Copenhagen to a flower shop; he realized he was sent to observe the shopkeeper’s teenage daughter Sigrid who was cursed with only two years left to live. Richard immediately felt pity but was also smitten by Sigrid’s beauty, constantly wooing her with gifts and affection whenever he visited her. Sigrid initially didn’t want anything to do with him with his playboy reputation and being so much older than her; but after Richard suffered a serious case of lovesickness during a visit, Sigrid allowed him to recover in her room, which lead to a night of unexpected passion. Richard and Sigrid were married in a year; they had a son, but Sigrid died a few days after giving birth. Richard felt so much guilt in Sigrid’s death that he soon followed after her from heartbreak and illness almost three years later (there’s been hearsay that Richard hasn’t died but was sent to the underworld to keep souls from coming back out; there’s also rumors saying that he’s actually Death himself). — #femalecharacter #malecharacter #brothers #men #man #woman #girl #characterart #characterdesign #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing
Tatzelwurms are not to be messed with - they look cute, but they’re extremely vicious and destructive to both plants and Reapers alike. They’re drawn to the scent of rare plants and minerals in the earth, causing them to dig them up and burrow nearby to produce large litters. After countless times getting torn apart and patched up, and Sigrid not very happy about the method of extermination, Richard ponders on creating a repellent to keep Tatzelwurms out of Aina’s backyard. Included are previous mentions and encounters of the Tatzelwurm (and there might be more to come). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #tatzelwurm #comic

Another #sketchdump. I’m still trying to figure out what to draw next, but doodling these kind of help clear out clutter in my head… I might end up making another Fan Arts pic, some DTIYS Challenge, or even try doing a redraw of something if I can’t figure out what to do. Otherwise, I still need to work on my website and make new OC pics for the “CHARACTERS” section. - About each sketch: •Richard noticed Sigrid liked collecting fashion ads from discarded magazines, particularly of high-end power suits and dresses. Even though he wasn’t fond of wearing formal clothes in general, Richard decided to save up to buy an Armani suit to impress Sigrid on their first formal dinner date as a couple. •Sigrid works for her mother Aina at their flower shop/house arranging and selling bouquets, as well as tending the hundreds of plants growing in the backyard garden and greenhouse. It was on Valentine’s Day while selling roses when she first met Richard. •During a school field trip, Sigrid accidentally bumped into Richard during a tour of the local university’s campus; she finds out that he does research there as an Epidemiologist when he’s not busy traveling abroad and killing rogue monsters. Whenever she needs to do a report or feels like reading on random topics, Sigrid would ask if Richard could take her to the library for resources. •Sigrid’s favorite things to eat were ice cream and Rødgrød, both rich with cream; whenever she tried to offer her boyfriend some, Richard immediately refused to avoid horrible digestive issues that come from being lactose intolerant. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #frauv8ocs #frauv8_ocs #couple #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle
It’s June already?! 2021 is flying by fast compared to 2020, but I still feel like I haven’t done anything yet. I’ve also been really busy, tired, and lazy - partly because of lack of sleep, having an extra day of work, and several people from work being sick and taking days off at the same time in the past few weeks. And with Summer around the corner and things quickly opening up, it’s only going to get busier and more stressful (my concern is that the pandemic can easily get bad again if people aren’t careful and don’t get their shots). - Anyway, here’s another scribbling of Richard and Sigrid… I’m still stuck with Artist’s Block, my drawing hand still hurts, and I feel like I need to hibernate for a few days to regain my energy. I’m still working on my website frausama.com, but it’s functional for the time being for anyone who wants to visit and check out what I’ve done. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #cat #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing

Johannes Faustuz can never get a break from soul collecting because there’s always something or someone dying nearby. Like any task, there’s times it gets so busy he can’t keep up and needs help. Faustuz is also wearing an updated version of his father’s outfit from the 1980s. - Grim Reapers and Monster Hunters are becoming more rare as less people are in tune with the spiritual, mythical, and occult world. And not all souls get collected based on what they are (ie. plant and insect souls are mostly harmless, but animal and human souls - especially those who died suddenly and violently - are extremely dangerous and prone to transforming into monsters that harm the living). Luckily most souls like to gather together and often like to float around the closest Grim Reaper wanting to move on. But there are creatures that like to chase or devour them (cats can be a Grim Reapers biggest annoyance because they not only had multiple lives but also chase souls as if they’re yarn balls). — #malecharacter #autodesksketchbook #drawing #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterart #scythe #grimreaper #souls #man #clothes
Original Instagram post ↗A closer look at Richard’s look, which was a mashup of the late 1970s and early 1980s. (I really enjoy drawing clothes) - “If it doesn’t have holes and they still fit, there’s no need to get new clothes” was Richard’s philosophy - thus he had a hard time switching to the 1980s in regards to his fashion. But Sigrid often rolled her eyes and groaned seeing him in clothes from a decade ago whenever he visited her; she’d save up men’s fashion articles and cut out each item to place on top of Richard from a distance, taking a photo as she did so to show him later that it’s time to give up his denim bell bottoms for straight leg jeans (he finally changed his pants after they started dating). — #malecharacter #fashion #clothing #plaidblazer #tshirt #shoes #pants #glasses #watch #1970sfashion #1980sfashion #man #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #frauv8
It’s the whole family! As a cute chibi pile! — Someone had questioned whether if everyone would be blond, but NO! Not all Swedes, Germans, or Scandinavians in general are blond in real life, so this family should reflect that fact (my grandma is Swedish, and she had auburn hair like Freyja’s cousins Einar and Gunnar). It’s a silly, stupid stereotype that gets tacked on for lots of nationalities that are “majority White” (*glares at a certain popular anime that starts with an “H”*). — Freyja loves both halves of her family, but it’s hinted that she might love her Kasper part more due to the challenges of having an overbearing husband and moody Wunderkind that tests her wits versus the Ströms constantly spoiling her like a princess without question. - Being married to Freyja, poor Johannes Faustuz is often assumed to be a Ström himself by her coworkers and the media (getting the name “Jonah Fritz Ström” from the confusion); he obviously hates it not being called by his actual name and title, but for family’s sake, he’s willing to put up with it. - As for family traits, Ströms usually have blue or green eyes and some shade of blond or red hair. Cedrick looks a lot like his Ström relatives (especially his grandfather Erik and mother’s cousin Werner), but is immediately casted out as a Kasper with his odd eyes (Kaspers inherit heterochromia if they have blue eye genes). — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #family #chibi #chibistyle #frauv8_ocs
It’s #nationalsiblingday today! This time it’s Freyja’s four cousins (Ragnar, Werner, Einar, and Gunnar) when they were kids. - There’s two sets of brothers here: Ragnar/Werner (brown haired/blond haired) and Einar/Gunnar (auburn haired/ginger haired). Add Freyja (who’s strawberry blonde), and it’s all the Ström children. — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #family #boys #brothers #cousins #frauv8_ocs
