It’s been a long time since I posted something... I’m really burned out from work, having lack of sleep, and severely suffering from Artist Block. Even the fashion Richard and Sigrid are wearing are off-season... Dr. Kasper dressed up as a Grim Reaper, or “Juanito” as his fellow grim reaper Granger Rodriguez calls him. 2nd Slide is a cute bonus (still doesn’t reveal whether if he’s right or left handed; Cedrick and Freyja are officially left-handed, while Faustuz appears to be right-handed in most pics but he’s equally flexible with both), and 3rd Slide is another version of his Grim Reaper attire. — I might be a little bit early for Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos to be drawing this...😅 But I love drawing creepy things from time to time... And in black and white too, which is technically digital ink work that could be ideal for Inktober this year... - I plan on drawing Granger in her grim reaper attire which will be heavily sugar skull inspired, as well as Cedrick with Frl. Hr. Dr. Kasper’s mother Sigrid loved Rødgrød, especially when she was a child. Unfortunately, like most of his predecessors in the Kasper bloodline, he’s lactose intolerant (which is ironic considering the fact the region where they live is where the world’s favorite dairy cows comes from). This doesn’t stop his grandmother Aina from feeding him the sweet berry treat drizzled with lots of cream, constantly giving poor Johannes-Faustuz stomach aches until the day he discovers lactase pills. Richard vs. Johannes Faustuz at the same age (23). - I haven’t done a #charactersheet of these two guys together, especially since Richard would not be alive when his son was 23. Next one I probably should draw is either one comparing Cedrick with his father and grandfathers (Cedrick has been told he looks just like Richard or a younger Erik) when they were his age (14-15), or Sigrid vs. Johannes Faustuz to show how much he takes after her (of the two, Faustuz really looks more like his mother but with his father’s coloring - especially with his hair long). (Slide 4: The Kasper Brothers c. 1979) - 1961 was the year when their mother Ida left the family for a younger American soldier; since then, Olaf grew more cruel and strict with the boys, especially with Richard - the son he believed to be the reason why his wife ran away. Heinrich, as the older and favorite child, tries his best to keep his rambunctious brother out of trouble while lessening the pain of loosing their mother and father’s constant criticism. The brothers were close despite their 5 year age gap and opposing personalities, often seen together playing football/soccer and drinking beer as they grew older into adulthood. Heinrich has always been stoic, quiet, and serious while Richard was the more outgoing, hot-tempered, but very intelligent brother. Their relationship was often strained when Heinrich gave up his duty of the family heir for love when he married a foreign woman, forcing the carefree Richard to take up the rigid work his brother left behind; but with the birth of his nephew Hansel and niece Hannah, Richard’s anger cooled enough to continue being the supportive younger brother. Heinrich (like most of the other family) was initially not fond of Richard’s decision to marry Sigrid, even more so when it was revealed that she was only a teenager and had a life curse; but after meeting the girl, he was quite impressed with her sharp wit and her strong will to live despite having a shortened lifespan (he enjoyed playing chess with her, discussing current events, and admired her gardening skills).
