Another point of view of “The Doghouse”. I couldn’t choose which version, so I just put all three in one post with the line art (4 slides total). - With Freyja using his personal study for her live videos and blogs, Hr. Dr. Kasper teaches Biology 101 using an old iPad Pro with Zoom in the indoor patio room where all the critters and houseplants reside (both agreed that their bedroom is a place that stays private). It’s almost a 💯% guarantee that at least one critter will make an appearance during class sessions, especially the family cat Klimt. See if you can find: •Faustuz’s favorite mug •Tricia Williams •Fritz the Wolpertinger •A Dachshund •A Doberman •Richard and Sigrid •A cell diagram •A copy of Freyja’s magazine — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #lineart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #cat #houseplants #desk #room #mangastyle #animestyle #blackandwhite #color frauv8_ocs

It’s Papa Kasper’s turn to work at home as a Biology 101 professor in place of Vinnie DeValeur (Prof. DeValeur has some family matters in France at this time). And like Freyja, Faustuz has his moments with the cat, their son, and technology (in this case, rolling blackouts due to the extreme weather here in California). If I have to make another one of these shorts, it’d be Papa Ström constantly asking for help since he’s not very tech savvy. - •BONUS OC FACTS: Now we know what Cedrick’s middle name is, lol. “Magnus” was the original name Richard wanted for Faustuz, but Sigrid hated it and wanted a more formal and traditional name. When Sigrid died after giving birth, Richard kept her wish by naming their son “Johannes Faustuz”; knowing this story, Faustuz made it Cedrick’s middle name. Cedrick got his name because it means “loving ruler” from the Celtic word “Cariad” meaning “Love”, and root “-rik/ric/rich” meaning “King” (just like Erik, Richard, and Heinrich - all important family members to the Kaspers and Ströms). Cedrick’s mother Freyja is also a big fan of literature, so it’s also a nod to “Ivanhoe”, “Little Lord Flauntleroy”, and of course, “Harry Potter”. ——— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #femalecharacter #malecharacter #man #boy #cat #chibi #chibistyle #kawaii #cute #stayhome #workfromhome #workathome #frauv8_ocs

This pic has been sitting in my scrap pile since mid-May (it’s nearing the end of August). It’s colored in with different shades of blue, yellow, and orange. It’s a pretty flat and boring piece, which is probably why I didn’t post it for so long. But at least it’s the whole family together in one pic, which makes it kinda cute. ———— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #character_design #characters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #family #grandfather #mother #son #father #blue #yellow #orange #fashion #frauv8_ocs

#artistsupport time! I haven’t done one before, but I figured after being in IG for a long time, it’s overdue I do one of these. •RULES: Tell me about yourself, your art style/interests, and tag a fellow artist (or two, or more) you admire and think needs a little bit more love on IG.♥️ —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #characters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #artistsupportartists #artistsupportingartist #artistsupportpost #red #pink #white #frauv8_ocs

Going back to Late Summer 1979 with Richard and Sigrid (Faustuz’s parents). It’s hard to say which “package” poor Sigrid is looking at. Maybe the Tiffany blue box? 😅 - Soft brushes again... 😑 I prefer using hard brushes when drawing and coloring because it feels more finished and pops out more compared to soft brushes. It’s actually easier to color and shade with soft brushes since they blend into each other, but there’s something about using hard brushes and halftone when I’m coloring and shading... Oh well - it’s more practice with the anti-characteristics of my artwork. (Segway: My “Artist Bend” challenge is still a thing - go visit the Highlight for more information) —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #characterdesign #characters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #fashion #red #white #blue #frauv8_ocs

“The Dog House” is practically an indoor patio linked to the backyard, making it easy for the pets to run around freely and for the humans enjoy the outdoors while being inside. It gets its name because it’s where Freud the Dachshund stays to keep out of trouble (he loves digging up Freyja’s garden and chasing Klimt the Weegie and other creatures that take refuge in the Kasper residence). It’s a place where the pets eat, sleep, and play, extra plants grow, and where Hr. Dr. Kasper sleeps whenever he’s in trouble with his wife or wants to stay away from his son and father-in-law (also where he stayed for two weeks after being furloughed from work... and it looking like he might be working again, but as an online professor this time around). Johannes Faustuz finds peace amongst the plants and animals as he reads books, magazines, and whatever periodicals are lying around; it’s also the only connection he has with his mother Sigrid since she loved plants while working in her mother’s flower shop in Copenhagen (she died soon after he was born). If it gets too quiet, Faustuz will play tape cassettes of his mother reading children’s books like “Peter Rabbit” in Danish (which he still struggles speaking with his grandmother Aina; Kaspers are Danish in ancestry, but living in Jutland for centuries makes them German, so when they actually try speaking Danish, it’s with a heavy accent and bad grammar). He also has recorded tapes of his father Richard, but Faustuz doesn’t seem to be interested listening to a man who was known as a playboy in his younger years. ——— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #lineart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #cat #plants #window #room #mangastyle #animestyle #halftone #frauv8_ocs

Johannes Faustuz and Cedrick enjoying the cool breeze of their mini electric fan. Both father and son can’t stand the sun and heat, but Mama Kasper absolutely loves it (Freyja is most likely out in the backyard swimming). Faustuz is wearing a black mesh tank saying “Made in the 80s” because he literally was (making him a Millennial, not Gen X-er or Boomer as Tricia calls him); Cedrick is wearing a blue cotton crop-top which are quickly gaining popularity amongst teen boys it seems (the 90s are officially back with a vengeance). Both father and son have their hair up: Faustuz with a man bun and Cedrick with a mini bun/topknot. - It’s been unbearably HOT here in California (currently over 100F/38C🥵). Also on “Power Alert”, so a blackout can happen anytime (it’s happened once when I wasn’t home - all the clocks were messed up, lol). So stay safe: set those thermostats to 78, use fans, stay in the shade or indoors, drink LOTS of water, relax, and keep them masks on if you are outside despite being super hot (i.e. there was a heatwave in Israel early during the pandemic and cases spiked drastically because people stopped wearing masks due to heat; really shows how effective masks are in preventing infections). If you really can’t breathe while wearing one in the heat, isolate yourself before removing it to catch your breath, then put it back on and seek shelter indoors. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #animation #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #man #blond #animestyle #yellow #blue #black #fan #manbun #frauv8_ocs

Soft pencil and marker brushes with pastel colors this time; not my forte, but it’s good practice. Also looks like Papa Kasper’s glasses are fogging up, but at least the Herr Doktor and his son are wearing their masks correctly over their mouths and noses. 🚨RANT ALERT 🚨 Don’t ask how many people at work I see that don’t cover their noses. NOSES ARE VIRAL SUPER-SPREADERS! COVER THEM UP! 😷 Seriously - we had all the scientific proof that masks, hand washing, social distancing, and lockdowns worked a century ago with the 1918 (NOT F-CKING 1917!) Pandemic, so we should of bagged COVID-19 in months (the 1918 Pandemic took 2 years to recover from, but keep in mind they didn’t have any of the medical tech we have so millions got sick and died; had we done all the things to reduce a pandemic early on, we probably wouldn’t have as many people sick and dead). But at the rate things are going with idiots running around in the world, it’s going to be YEARS before it’ll be “normal” again. (phew - that’s my ranting for a while 😤) It’s just frustrating seeing everything I’ve learned from Biology classes during the H1N1 and Ebola epidemics happening all over again but in a much bigger and worse scale - and there’s not much I can do about it but do my part wearing my masks, washing my hands, staying home whenever I don’t have work, and sharing the words of Dr. Fauci. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #pink #blue #yellow #pastelcolors #pastelcolours #malecharacter #man #teenboy #fatherandson #fashion #glasses #facemask #bowlcut #manbun #frauv8_ocs

Which shade Freyja wore best?💄 And she’s using her husband’s aviators as a fashion accessory again, lol. Hopefully poor Johannes Faustuz isn’t bumping into too many things without them. - I was inspired by an ad for @jeffreestar’s lip colors of all things to make this, lol. I wish I can wear makeup more often, but with sensitive skin and having to wear masks for more than 8 hours each day I work, it’s not very practical (also, I still get acne like a teen and I’m double the age of a teenager; people still can’t believe how old I am because I look at least 10 years younger partly because of my acne). ———— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #woman #redhair #redhead #fashion #lipcolor #aviators #animestyle #animation #halftone #frauv8_ocs
