Some random Richard and Hedy scribblings...
🐈⬛
Richard had taken one of Hedy’s nine lives when he mistaken her for a Tatzelwurm in Aina’s greenhouse.
Hedy took an instant liking to him despite what he had done and the fact Richard isn’t much of a cat-person - especially being a Grim Reaper and cats being known for the association with life and death.
Richard also doesn’t like dealing with Sigrid’s neighbor/teacher Mr. Vannderhassen for numerous reasons, including the fact Hedy keeps running away and staying in the greenhouse or garden; regardless of the trouble, Richard does care about Hedy even though he calls her a pest.

Another #sketchdump:
Studying/researching with Sigrid and Richard.
Whenever Sigrid had a lot of homework and papers to write, she’d ask her boyfriend if he could take her to the local university’s library for better resources (she attended a religious all-girls academy).
Sigrid initially didn’t expect Richard to be an academic person since he’s always getting rid of Tatzelwurms and capturing souls around her mother’s house while goofing off and wooing her - thus she assumed he’s more of a jock than a nerd (he was popular as a kid, the opposite of what she was).
But after accidentally bumping into him during a field trip to the local university, Sigrid saw his serious side as an Epidemiologist researching plant extracts for some of his patients’ illnesses (Freyja’s mother was one of Richard’s patients).
As their relationship progressed, Richard started helping Sigrid with her schoolwork, especially with Math, Science, and English; Sigrid would share her knowledge of plants with Richard since she and her mother Aina grew hundreds of them in their greenhouse that were used for potions and medicines.

1990s fashion with Hansel, Hannah, and Johannes.
I should draw them all grown up in modern 90s inspired styles since the OG 1990s was 30 years ago - I just love drawing outfits.
(I’m also getting old - my earliest vivid memories start from 1991 when I was 3 when “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST” first came out)

Still stuck with Artist’s Block...
Another #sketchdump of these two; out of curiosity, are they a cute couple or not? ❤️💔

Another #sketchdump with Richard, Sigrid, Aina, and a baby Johannes.
-
Aina had always been saddened by her daughter’s fate to die young, afraid of Sigrid not living a full life until then.
Richard’s appearance was when Aina knew Sigrid’s time was almost up, but she also realized that Death sent the youngest Kasper - an unmarried, handsome traveling Grim Reaper/doctor - to observe Sigrid as a possible act of mercy (Richard isn’t as hasty to kill compared to his father; he also had pity for Sigrid).
She was beyond happy when her daughter and Richard finally fell in love, got married, and had a son, but was soon devastated with Sigrid’s predicted demise followed by Richard’s unexpected death; her last glimmer of joy was her grandson Johannes Faustuz, whom she enjoyed taking care of during the summer months whenever he visited Copenhagen from Kiel.

Another #sketchdump...
Pink seems to be the color creeping in here...
-
I have 2 other pics of Richard and Sigrid saved as drafts but never posted in queue; not sure if I want to post them up anytime soon...
Maybe when I’m absolutely stuck with Artist’s Block then I’ll post them (they’re scrapped pics set aside and never posted).

#sketchdump of Richard and Sigrid again.
-
Who knew Sigrid had such a snarky attitude and potty mouth?🤭
(their son Johannes Faustuz would inherit both from her, lol)
Sigrid also likes it when Richard is wearing his ridiculous gym shorts for obvious reasons 😏 (Aina teases her daughter about how much she stares at his butt whenever he leaves the flower shop).
-
Sigrid initially hated it when Richard called “Siri”, but as their relationship progressed from friendship to romance, she didn’t mind it as much - in fact, she missed it when he was gone for months at a time when he was traveling for work.
After officially becoming a couple, she would giggle every time he whispered her nickname into her ear before kissing her goodbye; this was also the last thing Richard did for Sigrid before she died, knowing that her last memory would be a happy one as he pulled out her soul.

#sketchdump of the Kasper Brothers Heinrich and Richard.
—
Despite their 5-year age gap and opposing personalities, the two brothers were extremely close, often found at the local bar drinking and singing karaoke.

It’s June already?!
2021 is flying by fast compared to 2020, but I still feel like I haven’t done anything yet.
I’ve also been really busy, tired, and lazy - partly because of lack of sleep, having an extra day of work, and several people from work being sick and taking days off at the same time in the past few weeks.
And with Summer around the corner and things quickly opening up, it’s only going to get busier and more stressful (my concern is that the pandemic can easily get bad again if people aren’t careful and don’t get their shots).
-
Anyway, here’s another scribbling of Richard and Sigrid…
I’m still stuck with Artist’s Block, my drawing hand still hurts, and I feel like I need to hibernate for a few days to regain my energy.
I’m still working on my website frausama.com, but it’s functional for the time being for anyone who wants to visit and check out what I’ve done.

It’s the whole family!
As a cute chibi pile!
—
Someone had questioned whether if everyone would be blond, but NO!
Not all Swedes, Germans, or Scandinavians in general are blond in real life, so this family should reflect that fact (my grandma is Swedish, and she had auburn hair like Freyja’s cousins Einar and Gunnar).
It’s a silly, stupid stereotype that gets tacked on for lots of nationalities that are “majority White” (*glares at a certain popular anime that starts with an “H”*).
—
Freyja loves both halves of her family, but it’s hinted that she might love her Kasper part more due to the challenges of having an overbearing husband and moody Wunderkind that tests her wits versus the Ströms constantly spoiling her like a princess without question.
-
Being married to Freyja, poor Johannes Faustuz is often assumed to be a Ström himself by her coworkers and the media (getting the name “Jonah Fritz Ström” from the confusion); he obviously hates it not being called by his actual name and title, but for family’s sake, he’s willing to put up with it.
-
As for family traits, Ströms usually have blue or green eyes and some shade of blond or red hair.
Cedrick looks a lot like his Ström relatives (especially his grandfather Erik and mother’s cousin Werner), but is immediately casted out as a Kasper with his odd eyes (Kaspers inherit heterochromia if they have blue eye genes).

It’s #nationalsiblingday today!
This time it’s Freyja’s four cousins (Ragnar, Werner, Einar, and Gunnar) when they were kids.
-
There’s two sets of brothers here: Ragnar/Werner (brown haired/blond haired) and Einar/Gunnar (auburn haired/ginger haired).
Add Freyja (who’s strawberry blonde), and it’s all the Ström children.

Megara from “Hercules” as suggested in a comment from earlier.
Comment below to let me know who else from the Disney-verse could be drawn next.

I had a hard time figuring out what to draw for #buckybarnes, so this was the result.
