Cedrick wearing a yellow skeleton sweater, rolled-up pants, and pink #adidas shoes.

I included the #lineart for anyone who wants to color this pic - just tag me @frauv8 and #colorthisinyourownstyle.

All six coworkers in one group shot, posing like a hospital drama. 😅
-
Left to Right:
• Dr. Leyon DeValeur -
Geneticist; Director in charge of the hospital who randomly shows up when least expected; at first glance he looks clueless, but he’s very sharp and has a good memory.
• Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper -
Oncologist; protege to the Director, always enforcing the rules and can be a bit of a stiff; he can always be seen with a white “no.1 Dad” mug full of black coffee.
• Dr. Tyrone Williams -
Pediatrician; a bit of a prankster and a kind-hearted guy who tries his best; he enjoys working around the Kaspers, liking both their company and their snack-filled office.
• Hr. Dr. Cedrick Kasper -
Surgeon/Lab Assistant; a wunderkind working alongside his father who can be a bit of a hothead and brat; being a teenager, people often don’t take him seriously which adds to his frustration.
• Dr. Fatima Khan -
Cardiologist; a gentle, calm woman of few words; she enjoys mentoring younger colleagues and comforting patients feeling discouraged.
• Kimiko Abe -
Nurse/Nurse’s Assistant; the newcomer who’s very timid and klutzy; she develops a big crush on the older Hr. Dr. Kasper despite knowing he has a wife who’s very much alive.

Finally drew something in my #moleskinesketchbook this time, and I finally tested out a 5 pack of #ecolinebrushpens I bought some time ago.
-
It’s a different #character looking a bit 1970s retro, and the only OC that immediately comes to mind who could of been alive at that time as a college student is Leyon DeValeur.

Another #characterdrawing.
🤦🏻♀️
I actually had a bit of fun with the color scheme, drawing Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing an older-styled lab coat, and having one of his signature character quirks: the “#1DAD” coffee mug he’s always seems to cling onto no matter what, either because he’s a caffeine addict or really does take pride in being a father (there’s actually a story in mind on how he got the mug).
-
I haven’t been as active as much as I want to - I’ve kind of been a bit in the dumps with work cancelled “indefinitely” (not kidding - it’s what my emails say), so my usual pep hasn’t been quite the same. I’m also trying to think up some other ideas to draw as well as plan to make some redraws of older stuff from the past to compare how much I’ve improved over the years. I’m also thinking about collaborations if anyone is interested, so yar... I really don’t have much else to say. I do plan on making another live video showing off new supplies I’ve gotten and updates on personal projects.

“Where’d you go?”
-
Freyja with two heaping servings of her “Kraken Surprise” for her husband and son, who are trying their best to hide from her.
-
So what’s in her infamous meal besides giant squid tentacles? Freyja often adds in frozen TV dinners, bratwurst, mashed cauliflower, lingonberry jam, and all kinds of questionable food items. Rarely it tastes good, but 99% of the time it’ll lead to upset stomach and vomiting.
-
It’s not a good #drawing, but it’s something to break up the silence.

Another #character of mine (Vincent-Claude) wearing a #whitetanktop, #smoking, and showing off some of his #tattoos.
I think I’m on a drawing streak with traditional media again, lol.
-
**Artist Notes**
•Yellow can be a difficult color to work with since it’s so bright and often clashes with white, but it can be managed if you add in darker colors such as grey and black (brown, green, and purple are also great darker colors to pair with yellow).
•Mixing water-based ink with alcohol-based ink can be a bit tricky since the alcohol ink makes the water ink bleed into it - but that’s okay if it’s minimal because you can use a white gel pen to touch it up.

Just a quick random #doodle #comic.
-
I plan to redraw the last panel by itself for a Valentine’s Day pic. I don’t think I’d draw what his wife sent him - let’s leave that to imagination, lol.

I got really bored this time...
It’s not good if I’m drawing a character working instead of something more imaginative. 😓
I’ll try something else tomorrow...

As mentioned from previous character notes, Cedrick is a prodigy surgeon working with VR and augmented reality. Cedrick not only wears a headset for assistance during surgeries, but he also can operate anywhere using game controllers to move robotic instruments as if he’s there. It sounds like sci-fi, but the tech is actually being used right now in real life.

I felt like drawing another cute pic of a little Cedrick and his mother Freyja wearing matching outfits.
Just out of curiosity, which version of Cedrick is your favorite: as a baby, a kid, or as a teenager? Drawing him as a teenager makes him more fluid with the times and he was a young adult in his original 2005 design, but he’s definitely cuter as a very young kid.
-
The #fjallraven bag Freyja is holding is based off of my own birch green mini version. Cedrick’s #adidas shirt is based off a retro sweater from the early 90s (seriously - everything I wore as a toddler in the 90s is coming back with vengeance).

Poor Cedrick stuck taking care of Tobias and Queenie while Carmen and Tricia skip out from babysitting duty.
(I know the feeling - I used to watch over other people’s kids when I was a youngster. Most kiddos were good, but a few did make me want to tear my hair out in frustration.)
-
Couldn’t decide whether I wanted #glasses or no glasses on Cedrick, so I have both versions. As usual, Cedrick is wearing something with “the brand with the three stripes” (it’s based off an actual Adidas sweater), and still has a trendy #bowlcut. Tobias has a #buzzcut hairstyle, while Queenie has #afropigtails as usual.
-
Cedrick is often stuck being a “boysitter” and doesn’t like being around other kids despite being a kid himself. As for Tobias and Queenie, they love being around Cedrick since he’s often much nicer to them compared to their older siblings.

Carmen Rodriguez and Tricia Williams, Granger’s younger sister and Tyrone’s niece.
-
These two are the most popular girls at their high school, and they are always together wherever they go. Carmen and Tricia can be found at the mall almost every day after school, especially when they’re skipping out on babysitting younger siblings (Carmen has a little brother named Tobias, and Tricia has her little cousin Queenie). They’re mostly nice, but they do have a mean streak when it comes to guys - specifically towards Cedrick, his father Faustuz, and Tricia’s uncle Tyrone.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!🎆
-
It’s definitely #sweaterweather with the temperature getting below 75F/25C in the day and below 40F/5C at night - tomorrow’s low will be 28F/-3C.
(IT’S LITERALLY FREEZING RIGHT NOW! 🥶)
-
So I couldn’t help drawing the Kaspers in fashionable sweaters this time. I wasn’t sure which version of Cedrick I wanted (sans glasses or with glasses), so I have both with the uncolored line work. The color scheme is also pretty much brown, grey, and black which are the basic colors of winter clothing. Johannes Faustuz is wearing a triangle design similar to what I’ve seen online but with different colors, Freyja is wearing a basic black/grey #sweaterdress, and Cedrick is wearing an #adidassweatshirt with a design I made up.
-
I also want to draw a cute little kinder Cedrick bundled up in all kinds of winter garb his mother would make him wear so he stays warm - keep an eye out for that sometime soon.
Otherwise, I need to get some more pages done for Part 2 of Vincent-Claude conversing with the mutant fruit flies.
