Another #character of mine (Vincent-Claude) wearing a #whitetanktop, #smoking, and showing off some of his #tattoos. I think I’m on a drawing streak with traditional media again, lol. - **Artist Notes** •Yellow can be a difficult color to work with since it’s so bright and often clashes with white, but it can be managed if you add in darker colors such as grey and black (brown, green, and purple are also great darker colors to pair with yellow). •Mixing water-based ink with alcohol-based ink can be a bit tricky since the alcohol ink makes the water ink bleed into it - but that’s okay if it’s minimal because you can use a white gel pen to touch it up. — #pencil #pen #marker #staedtler #crayola #crayolasignature #crayolasignaturebrushmarkers #staedtlertriplusfineliner #staplesfineliner #sketchbook #moleskine #m_artcollection #drawing #ink #inkart #inkartwork #yellow #white #black #grey #gray #originalcharacter #malecharacter #manbun #tattooedguy

#drawthisinyourstylechallenge for anyone who wants one. I also included the line art for anyone who wants to color Cedrick in for a #colorthis instead. Anyone else thinking the colors reminds you of a Crayola crayon box? Just me? Probably just me. 😭 - I’m not popular enough for anyone to really notice me making these. I don’t expect people to actually draw/color Cedrick, but if you do, please tag me @frauv8 or #frauv8 - I’d like to make a post of everyone’s versions. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #drawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalcharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #drawthisinyourstyle #dtiys #drawthisinyourownstyle #colorthisinyourstyle #colorthisinyourownstyle #chartreuse #green #yellow #frauv8drawthisinyourstyle #frauv8colorthisin #dtiys

I don’t know how long I spent working on this, but it took almost the whole day making it. Plus it shows how much I suck making backgrounds and scenery for my characters. 😑 - The Herr Doktor out on break in a nearby park with his No. 1 Dad mug and some books. •Fantasy Concept: Necromancer Mages’ Buffet •Necromancer Mages eat a lot of food considered disgusting to most other races and types of mages to replenish their magical energy. Their diet includes slimes, mushrooms, rat, bat, insects, swamp water, and zombie flesh. Because their powers require so much energy, Necromancer Mages have to constantly eat large amounts of food. Otherwise, Necromancer Mages will become both weak and very sour in mood, making them more prone to kill randomly without mercy. •Faustuz and Cedrick often fight each other for food, especially with the limited amount of swamps left due to human expansion. They are capable of eating other foods, but their magic power would not be as strong compared to eating their preferred diet. As a child, Cedrick often wants to eat whatever his father is eating not only to learn what is best to eat but also to get attention while he eats. Faustuz’s favorite food are slime and dried fruit bat wings, while Cedrick likes zombie flesh jerky and giant centipede. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalink #digitalinking #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #fantasyart #originalcharacters #fatherson #blondhairblueeyes #eating #slime #ratskewer #mushrooms #centipede

Page 7. End of Part 1. - Vincent-Claude doesn’t get along with his father for many reasons; it’s why he has a bit of a “Bad Boy” vibe doing things that makes Leyon upset such as smoking, womanizing, getting tattoos and piercings, and not following in his footsteps by becoming an university professor instead of a doctor. He does think highly of Johannes Faustuz as if he’s an older brother and enjoys talking with whatever related to his work. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacters #malecharacters #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Page 5. - I made three versions: •1) Plain old English for simplicity; it only shows how angry he is. •2) Most likely botched German with an English subtitle that matches the bad French with English subtitles I had done earlier in Page 2. Seriously - my brain hurts after writing in French and German, but it’s a character trait I want to show in some form whether it’s right or wrong. 😭 •3) English inside a speech bubble with German flag colors 🇩🇪 to show that he’s speaking in German. It’s the other option in mind to use if I can’t write either French, German, or any other language properly but want to show that the character is speaking that language. It’s probably my best option to use though it can look a bit tacky. - With that explained, which one looks like the best option - 1, 2, or 3? Whatever gets the most likes/comments will be used in future pages. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #comic #comicpage #originalcharacter #malecharacter #angry #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing

Now I can’t stop drawing formal awards attire. Ugh. 😑 - This time it’s a flashback when they attended an award ceremony for the Nobel Prize. Cedrick is missing his front two teeth just like I did when I was a little kid about 6-7 years old. Johannes Faustuz started growing out his hair longer, and Freyja started her job working as a TV fashion show host. Their relationship as husband and wife is not revealed to the world yet, making most people think they’re just close childhood friends - especially since they’re both busy with their own careers and are hardly seen together. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #family #fathermotherson #awardsattire #whitetie #blacktie #tuxedo #tux #dress #bluedress #blue #yellow

#inktober #flower pic no.25 - #aster - From Greek meaning “Star” and also known as #starwort, these flowers are very similar to the daisy. They come in white, pink, blue, violet, lavender, and red with yellow centers. Asters are believed to be enchanted blossoms, used as a love talisman and burned for protection. They symbolize patience and wisdom; they are the birth flower for the month of September and are given for couples’ 20th wedding anniversary. - I decided to go a bit more digital on this pic after inking it (like what I did with no.4 and no.19). - Freyja was used for Daisy, so Faustuz as a necromancer mage was the obvious choice for Aster. Mages are often regarded as wise and healing in the fantasy world regardless of what kind they are; being a necromancer mage allows Faustuz to not only cure ailments but also to bring the dead back to life abet they haven’t been killed or dead longer than a day. He can also summon Death, but at a cost of something precious. — #inktober2018 #inkdrawing #platinumpen #platinumpreppy #sepiaink #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #digitalcoloring #digitalcolouring #digitalart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #malecharacter #blond #longhair #flowers

#inktober #flower pic no.22 - #stock - Comes mainly in shades of white, pink, red, yellow, orange, blue, and lilac, these flowers are know for their simple beauty and spicy fragrance. They’re used as filler flowers in bouquets, and the double flower variety is highly desired in gardens for their abundant amount of petals. These flowers represent the simple beauty of life and having a content existence. Stock is also edible as a salad garnish due to being related to broccoli. - I’m finally caught up with my prompt! #inktober #flower pic no.19 - #camellia - Comes in red, pink, and white, these flowers represent the stages of love: ⚪️White is for the adoring love between mother and child. 💕Pink is for longing love as if you’re missing someone. ❤️Red is for desired, passionate love. Camellias are used in funerals, and are given for perfection, excellence, and good luck, especially white ones. Camellia also makes good tea from its leaves. - I used #autodesksketchbook and Facetune to clean up and color this pic in since it got a bit smeared when I was inking the initial pencil drawing.😑 - It’s Freyja bonding with her newborn son Cedrick as she’s recovering from surgery. She wasn’t happy at first when she found out she was expecting a baby boy instead of the baby girl she always imagined she would have to dress up and have follow in her footsteps. But when Faustuz suggested they could be having a little boy that looks just like her, she immediately decided she wanted a son that looks exactly like her husband instead. Once he was born, Freyja was extremely happy to see she got what she wanted - a little boy with the same blond hair and blue eyes like his father. — #inktober2018 #digitalcoloring #ipadproart #inkdrawing #pendrawing #sketchbook #moleskine #moleskinecahier #pentel #pentelpen #tradio #platinumpen #platinumpreppy #whiteflowers #originalcharacters #motherandson #motherson #motherbaby #motherchild #mother #son #baby #babyboy

#inktober #flower pic no.2 - #tulip - Tulips come in various colors and are one of the most popular flowers people grow in their gardens. They’re originally from around Turkey, but are also associated with the Netherlands due the Dutch being obsessed with these flowers in the 17th century. - This pic is kinda a nod to an old drawing I made of Cedrick back circa 2006-2007 using mainly #sharpiemarkers (it’s in my dA gallery somewhere). But this version the wunderkind is actually a kind, and I used multiple #inkbased media aside from #sharpie. - For #inktober2018, I’m just going to follow my prompt and cram as many as I can do while I don’t have work - my job has been uber busy and demanding lately, especially with Columbus Day coming up this month (that means working on a holiday, though many don’t consider it a real holiday, lol). #throwbacktuesday - an old pic of my #originalcharacters Johannes Faustuz and Freyja, most likely from 2005. - Faustuz was originally a little taller since he’s older than her, and Freyja had golden blonde hair before I changed it to strawberry-blonde to match her personality. The way I have Johannes Faustuz being much shorter even though he’s older than Freyja now is a funnier yet more cuter idea. In the fantasy concept though, Faustuz is taller but that’s because they meet at a later age of 13 when he’s actually starting to grow taller than her. — #digitalart #digitalartwork #boygirl #girlboy #boy #girl #childhoodsweethearts #couple #children

Today’s #workdrawing. This time I decided to digitally ink and color the #sketch with the #sketchbookautodeskapp in my #ipadpro; normally I would have colored it traditionally, but I wanted to experiment. - Fantasy Concept: Freyja enjoying time with her newborn son Cedrick. Being a warrior, she spends most of her time hunting for food; her husband Faustuz spends his time studying magic, which also means he stays home taking care of the baby. — #pendrawing #pensketch #pens #frixionpen #digitalcoloring #digitalinking #sketchbookapp #sketchbook #dottednotebook #leuchtturm1917 #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #motherson #motherchild #motherbaby #mother #baby #child #babyboy #motherlove

Yesterday’s and the day before’s #workdrawing that got finished at home as usual. - I don’t usually draw these two as children for my fantasy concept. In this storyline, Freyja and Faustuz weren’t as cuddly with each other at this stage in life. In fact, Freyja was very pushy and abusive to the point Faustuz fights back and even thinks about killing her to escape. But because she declared out loud that he belongs to her, thus “imprinted” on him according to mage tradition, he’s committed to take care of her as his mate for life. — #ink #inkart #inkdrawing #penart #penartwork #pilotpen #frixion #frixionpen #frixionpens #frixioncolors #oolypen #sketchbook #dottednotebook #leuchtturn1917 #leuchtturm1917 #lechtturm1917 #originalcharacters #children #couple #girlboy #boygirl #girl #boy

Still playing around with the #frixioncolors #markers ; they’re more fun to erase than to color in, lol. Also not completely in love with the #colorscheme used, but it’s different from using blue. - It’s a different character this time: my French #originalcharacter Vincent-Claude with his hair untied. And yes, #smoking is bad, but that’s part of his character; he’s very carefree and often disregards rules if he thinks he can get away with it, which often puts him at odds with his father and both Kaspers. - And I just realized his shirt looks like a piece of salmon. 🤣 — #pilotpen #frixon #frixonpen #frixionball #erasablepens #inkart #inkdrawing #penart #penartwork #pendrawing #moleskine #moleskinecahier #sketchbook #malecharacter #blackhair #black #purple #orange
