Ninth OC for my wardrobe prompt: Erik / Winter Erik Ström is Freyja’s gruff, frugal, stubborn, no-nonsense father who’s viewed as tough and intimidating on the surface, but gentle and affectionate amongst those closest to his heart. The Ströms descend from Viking royalty and occult weapons makers who fell out of favor when they refused to convert to Christianity in the 900s; only starting in the 1960s the Ström family slowly regained their wealth and reputation within the occult community - thus making Erik in charge of STRÖM CORPORATIONS & INDUSTRIES as the oldest of three sons. Erik makes occult weapons alongside his daughter and four nephews (Ragnar, Werner, Einar, and Gunnar) at the family estate based in Stockholm. Though he’s very doting towards his only child Freyja and grandson Cedrick, Erik is still disappointed with her choosing Hr. Dr. Kasper as her partner; Erik (like most other prestigious families within the occult community) dislikes the Kaspers mainly because of their murky past being involved with notorious events in history (and that his wife Sonja was shook from her broken betrothal to Heinrich Kasper - it took two years before she finally accepted his marriage proposal; Sonja was also a patient of Richard Kasper’s who was trying to cure her of a troll’s petrification curse). Whenever he’s visiting Kiel or Los Angeles, he and Johannes would be seen throwing punches and insults at each other until Freyja steps in with a glare and battle ax (Cedrick actually enjoys watching them fight, eager to learn his father’s and grandfather’s signature moves). Seventh OC for my wardrobe prompt: Hansel / Fall Hansel (Hanzo or Han when referred to in Japanese and Korean) Kasper is Hr. Dr. Kasper’s oldest cousin, the son of Richard’s older Heinrich and older brother to Hannah (or Hana, the Japanese version of her name). Hansel is know to be confident, brazen, and often reckless; but because he wears his heart on his sleeve, Hansel is hard not to like and will do whatever it takes to please those he deems worthy. Like many Kaspers before him, he’s a very dedicated man to his family despite having a checkered past (he’s been married three times with two daughters Eva and Leisa; both daughters want nothing to do with him but still feel the need to assist their extended family in regards to the mythical and occult). In his younger years, Hansel has been quite the popular guy in school getting attention from everyone with his suave looks and smooth talking; nowadays he’s overlooked as cocky and viewed as beneath his younger cousin Johannes - mainly because Johannes is a doctor while Hansel is a nurse, and he didn’t inherit the Kasper’s infamous “Odin’s Eye” like Johannes (thus not being the family’s heir despite being the oldest son). As a Kasper man, it’s expected for Hansel to contribute to the family business of collecting souls as a Grim Reaper; being part Korean, he takes up the role dressed up as a Joseung Saja. Each OC also has a second name they use based on circumstances (Richard’s true identity is Death/The Grim Reaper; Sigrid getting married and changing her last name; Johannes, Cedrick, and Freyja have pseudonyms based off each other’s last names). 📝 Extra Notes 📝 If Cedrick’s birthday is on Friday the 13th of October, he would have to been born in 2006 or 2017. If 2006, that means he’s a teenager right now; if 2017, then he’ll be a teenager in the 2030s (the original concept setting). In either scenario, both of his parents remain as Millennials (originally I planned Johannes to be 45 and Freyja 39 in the 2030s; my OCs don’t have official ages but age ranges to keep up with the times). Also, it’s kinda been continuous thing that nobody knows exactly how old Richard was when he was human (except for himself and his immediate family). Sigrid figured he was much older than her (at least eight years older to twice her age, 23-35 years old), but was shocked that his true age as Death was actually 10,000X more than she thought. The fifth OC for my wardrobe prompt: Vinnie / Semiformal (another term being thrown out to describe a less formal but more dressy casual look is “Smart Casual”) Vincent-Claude is a Biology/Anthology university professor who often goes out on digs to examine and confirm human specimens; if he’s away, Vinnie has Hr. Dr. Kasper substitute for him (he knows Johannes through his father Leyon, the hospital director). Vinnie is French, a descendant of Pied-Noirs, speaks with a thick accent, and has terrible habits of smoking and flirting with women - particularly the Kaspers’ nurse Kimiko and his student Tricia. Fourth OC for my October wardrobe prompt: Tyrone / Sports Tyrone Williams and his family are originally from Houston, Texas and he’s a big sports fan (he’ll watch any sport just to get a break from work). He works as a Pediatrician at the same hospital in Los Angeles with the Kaspers, Kimiko, and Fatima (I’ve drawn her a few times many years ago, but I should draw her again sometime soon). His niece Tricia attends at the university where Hr. Dr. Kasper occasionally substitutes for Prof. Vinnie DeValeur (who happens to be Tricia’s Biology professor and the hospital director’s son). Tyrone also has a toddler daughter Queenie who often visits the hospital whenever his wife Asia can’t get anyone to watch over her while she working at the family salon (Queenie’s real name is Quinella because she was born on May 5th at 5:55 AM). Welp, I wasn’t quite satisfied with the last one I did for Sigrid, and I ended up going all out on this one lol… My drawing hand really hurts, my eyes are dry, and it’s currently the morning (I stayed up all night 💀). Have to admit it was fun researching 1980s wedding gowns for this pic. In a way, this is a redraw of an old pic of Sigrid and Richard getting married; Sigrid’s dress now is definitely 1980s compared to her old one (it’s still 1980s but very simple compared to what most people think of 1980s wedding gowns like Princess Diana’s and Ariel’s). The first OC (out of ideally 12, not in any chosen order) for October’s wardrobe prompt: Cedrick / Normal Cedrick Kasper is my first official OC who was first drawn circa 2005-2006 when I was still in High School. His birthday is also Friday the 13th of October (which would make him born either on 2006 or 2017, the most recent times there were Friday the 13ths). It’s been a bit of a trope to have at least one boy amongst a group of girls when it comes to fashion-related stuff (especially fashion doll lines); I have no idea why that’s so, but it just is. I got Gen Z(oomer) OCs featured this time all dressed up in the latest trends inspired from the late 1990s thru early 2000s (back when I was a tween myself 😬). It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these… • Richard enjoys new technology whenever it comes out, especially with his true self being an entity existing over hundreds of thousands of years (Death loves watching mankind struggle to survive and progress, hoping one day it’ll become a challenge to collect their souls). As a teenager, Sigrid is also drawn to anything new and exciting - and Richard’s Walkman has definitely caught her attention (only thing is that she hates listening to his Disco music from the 70s; Sigrid is a fan of 80s Synth-Pop & New Romance). • In occasions, Sigrid likes taking and using some of Richard’s belongings like she’s a nosy little sister (especially if it’s tech and media related). Richard finds it more cute than annoying knowing Sigrid’s only curious about him and his stuff (as for his actual younger half-sister Sabrina, he hates how intrusive she is because she does so on purpose to infuriate him; Sabrina also despised Sigrid, calling her a “ugly and plain Wicca flower girl”). • Because of their large age gap, people initially didn’t see Sigrid and Richard as a couple (something they took advantage of at first since her school prohibited dating). But as time passed by, it became more apparent that the two were extremely close and always seen together; it was officially confirmed when classmates caught them kissing at the arcade and reported it to their homeroom teacher, leading to Sigrid’s expulsion from the academy (the headmistress was reluctant to expel her since Sigrid was the academy’s top student and her stepdaughter; Sigrid could only stay if she gave up her relationship with Richard, but she refused).
