Looks like these two are on good terms again. ☺️
(and hopefully less friction between her and “the other man”)
Asia finally got what she wanted for Mother’s Day - a lot of time together with her husband Tyrone, away from his coworker and the kids.

Asia is all dressed up with the tea party table Tricia and Queenie set up for their date (all items were in the boxes they ordered).
-
At least one more pic of the two cuddling to wrap it up.😊

Asia knows the girls are up to something.
Those are big boxes, and no way either of them were able to buy that much stuff with their monthly allowance.

It can’t get any more stereotypical SoCal than this - a couple wearing fashionable activewear with their dogs.
Add masks and sunglasses to hide one’s identity... Yep.
-
Freyja and Johannes Faustuz are out walking their dogs Freud and Frl. Flicka early in the morning to avoid a certain someone (Rufus McClaine, a photojournalist from the same media company Freyja works for) who’s always trying to get a photo of them together for the press.
Peoples really wanna know who’s the elusive “Jonah Fritz Ström” more so since Freyja has been hosting her show from home and he can be seen in the background, especially when he’s home from work.
—
I’m still feeling exhausted, but I’ll finish up the “Mother’s Day” arc sometime this month.
As for MerMay... eh... I might draw a mermaid somewhere?🤷🏻♀️
It’s not like I can go anywhere to get inspiration and recharge; I’m also suffering from lack of sleep with my work schedule currently being at night and roofers banging around during the day.😒🥱😑

Time for a man-to-man talk in the office.
-
Usually it’s Hr. Dr. Kasper pressed against the wall, but the tables are turned with Tyrone dealing with a frustrated work buddy.
Johannes Faustuz is at his wits end dealing with Asia, so he needs Tyrone to be the husband she deserves to calm things down - and he’s going to help him out by asking personal questions.

Oh my...🤭
It’s another one of these colorful steamy moments with these two.
Don’t swipe right to the end if you don’t want to see the full versions.❌
Just stop.🛑
You’ve been warned.⚠️
(but I’m sure I’ll still get a few 😤 despite the warnings)
-
The original color scheme is a tropical one, making it perfect for an intimate scene; the other version in blue, dark and secretive.
But Papa Ström won’t allow them to play much longer - he doesn’t want to see his daughter with her husband in any way.
(Erik never liked Johannes Faustuz from the start; he always thought of the doctor as a quack and not of proper upbringing to marry his daughter, but it’s really because he’s jealous that he’s not as strong as his son-in-law when it comes to fighting monsters)

Took almost three hours to color this in.💀
I really need sleep now, lol.
(I’ll post the speed-coloring video on IGTV as well)
-
Freyja and Johannes Faustuz wore cute sun hats in the last pic I made; Cedrick doesn’t want to match his parents, so he went all black despite the heat (black is just a badass color because it’s the rainbow absorbed into the abyss).
This time you can really see Cedrick’s heterochromia (odd-eyes; both Cedrick and his father Hr. Dr. Kasper have it).
-
The California Poppy:
These things bloom every year after the rain is over, and some years we get “Superblooms” when the hills are all orange and gold with them (there’d be traffic and accidents just because people would slow down to look at the hills while driving😑).
They’re obviously another favorite flower of mine because of their vibrant color ; pair the poppy with the cornflower, and it’s just an awesome combination of colors (blue and yellow is classic - just look at store logos like IKEA).

The Kaspers’ house based in Southern California, somewhere around Los Angeles.
It does have a second level that’s basically a loft and attic used for storage, nothing else important.
-
If you zoom in the Garage, you can see what kind of vehicle each parent drives (Papa Ström has a motorcycle, Freyja has a Volvo SUV, Hr. Dr. Kasper has an old VW Beatle); Cedrick is only 14/15, so obviously he can’t drive yet (there’s three bikes available; the shopping bike is pink with a basket and crate installed, lol).

Slide 3: Cedrick playing games in the Living Room when he should be in the Game Room (the Living Room has a large projection screen from the ceiling).

Slide 4: Cedrick’s Bedroom.

Papa Ström isn’t very tech savvy nor is willing to learn ; luckily he has a Wunderkind grandson eager to help him out (his daughter Freyja is at her wits end fixing things for him while he refuses to ask his son-in-law Johannes Faustuz for assistance).

There’s a new creature to add to the Kaspers’ unusual menagerie.
It’s not a Meerjungfrau (read the highlight titled “MEERJUNGFRAU” if you want to know more), but an Amabie swimming in the fishbowl.
-
She was recently found by Klimt almost dried out under a tree where a red-tailed hawk family is nestled, most likely had escaped from being chick food.
Hr. Dr. Kasper had to pry the poor thing out of his cat’s mouth before plopping her into a fishbowl to recover; he named her “Stern” for her star-like shape and having five limbs (two arms, three tails).
-
Amabie is a Japanese Yōkai that appears when there’s a danger to humans, especially pandemics; they’re good luck, and sharing drawings of them are said to heal ailments.

Queenie got a new bunny from Uncle Hans!
Asia is feeling relieved now that her daughter has a new toy to play with instead of using her jewelry crafting supplies; Tricia is actually feeling a bit jealous that she didn’t get anything besides chocolate eggs and marshmallow bunnies (she wanted the giant bunny).

Happy Easter!🐇
Papa and Mama Kasper are all dressed up to celebrate in style.
-
Couldn’t decide which one looked better (1 or 2), so I have both with the original line art.
Feel free to comment on which one you like more.🤗

Circa 1986-87:
Little Johannes Faustuz wanted a blue Japan jersey like his cousin Hansel’s, but got a white Germany one instead.

Freyja and Johannes Faustuz enjoying some sunshine after being cooped up indoors.
And Papa Kasper has pants this time while the wife is wearing her own nightshirt.
(Lately many of my pics have been featuring windows...)
—
But isn’t Faustuz supposed to be at the hospital and staying away from his family to prevent them from getting the virus?
Well, it has to do something with what Kaspers are in this version of the world where mythical creatures and monsters actually do exist (the last name is kinda a hint; another hint is the fact Frl. Flicka is a Hellhound).

Erik Ström isolated from the rest of the family, regardless of which timeline (Freyja stuck in Sweden with her father and cousins, or Erik with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in quarantine in California).
He’s not that old (late 60s) - but definitely old enough to get really sick if he’s not careful.
Johannes Faustuz might not be fond of his father-in-law, but as a doctor, he’s very concerned about the old man’s health keeping his distance tenfold in the guest room/suite.
-
Papa Ström has been working remotely with his shipping business hectic since people are ordering essential supplies nonstop.
Luckily he has his daughter Freyja around to keep him focused and able to fix his technical problems (he’s not very good with mobile devices and apps).
