Some more clothes for Sigrid and Cedrick… — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #femalecharacter #malecharacter #boy #girl #pants #shorts #socks #mask #necklace #shoes #tshirt #tanktop #fashion #paperdoll

Of all my OCs, it’s Sigrid’s simple schoolgirl clothing and sweet smile that gets a lot of likes - therefore she’s perfect for making into a paper doll. As for making more paper doll versions, eh… We’ll see… Probably make a poll and find out who else gets made into a paper doll, or add more looks for Sigrid (the 1980s was a fun time for fashion). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #femalecharacter #girl #schoolgirl #schooluniform #skirt #sweater #tights #socks #shirt #sandals #glasses #paperdoll

Richard Kasper (aka Death).💀 - Kept going back and forth with the background colors and colored/uncolored, but there’s just something about a bright sky blue background with yellow as a complement (also yellow has always been a color that gives me weird vibes when there’s a lot of it). Also used Motionleap (formerly known as Pixaloop) to add in some effects and vibrancy. — #originalcharacterart #digitalart #ipaddrawing #digitaldrawing #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #man #blond #glasses #furcoat #blue #cyan #red #yellow #pink #purple #violet #magenta #soul #autodesksketchbook #motionleap

Another #sketchdump with extra notes… • Aina, Sigrid, and Richard together in his rickety old red 1969 VW Beetle. Aina loved teasing her daughter and Richard, trying her best to get the two hook up quickly - which didn’t go so well at first (Sigrid only started liking Richard without her mother around to push them together - she hates being rushed though she didn’t have many years left due to her curse). • Richard at the time in the 1980s was really into computers and other miscellaneous technology. For a fun project, he tried making his own computer system with random items tossed out in junkyards and thrift shops - which he ended up using to help count his daily quota of souls when he returned to his true self as Death. • Sigrid was actually surprised how many movies Richard had watched and liked almost all of the same genres as he did - including Romance (Richard actually cries watching Romance films; he’s really sensitive underneath his scary appearance as a Reaper). Because of their shared love of film and games, the two started out having a kind of Big Brother/Little Sister relationship that grew from there. •Since their one night together, they became inseparable until Richard had to return to home in Kiel or travel overseas for clients/patients. Because Sigrid’s school prohibits dating and people don’t like Richard as a foreigner, they kept their affection to a minimum in public until their relationship was exposed. •After being together for almost two years, Sigrid’s life curse takes final effect; but days before her soul was removed, she gives birth to their only child Johannes Faustuz. Aina constantly mentions how he eats, cries, talks, and even sleeps was just like Sigrid when she was a baby, but most people just focus on how much he looks his father and use that fact to carry their dislike of Richard onto him (Richard had a notorious reputation as a doctor and Reaper when he was human). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #notes #autodesksketchbook #frauv8_ocs #characterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalcharacter #couple #baby #man #girl #woman #red #blue #green #yellow #pink #purple #violet

2021’s holiday kiss.😘 - Freyja and her husband Hr. Dr. Kasper have been sharing a holiday kiss each year since I’ve been active on Instagram. Sigrid isn’t enjoying the ride home in Richard’s old 🚘 — #digitalart #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #mentalcanvas #mentalcanvasdraw #madewithmentalcanvas #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #car #red #volkswagenbeetle #beetle

Why am I up so late?!😫 I just can’t leave things unfinished is the problem… It’s another experiment with the #mentalcanvas @mental_canvas app, and this was a fun one - but could have been better if I had more time and effort to tinker with it. - It’s an old red VW Beetle from about 1965-1969 (at the time almost as old as Sigrid herself, and she hated how shaky and noisy it was when riding it); Richard and Sigrid would get a brand new one as a wedding gift in the 1980s (their son Johannes Faustuz still has it in his garage and does occasionally drive it for short errands). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #mentalcanvasdraw #madewithmentalcanvas #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #couple #man #girl #red #blue #white #beige #grey #gray #volkswagen #volkswagenbeetle #animestyle

Another #sketchdump of Sigrid and Richard… • Often whenever Aina’s too busy with work at her flower shop, the weather’s bad, or if she really wants to play matchmaker (which was most of the time), she’ll ask Richard to pick up Sigrid from school. Initially Sigrid hated it, but when it means not having to deal with bullies, not riding her bike over five miles one way, a free trip to the university library, and some rounds at the arcade, she quickly took the offer. And as their relationship grew, Sigrid looked forward to having conversations about the latest video games and reaching over to eject his disco cassettes to listen to the latest hits on the radio (Sigrid mostly loves Synth-Pop). • Sigrid studies really hard - she’s the top student at her academy despite not being a “pure” enchantress (she and Aina can’t cast spells on their own and have to rely on plants). But she has her struggles - she’s not very good with English and Mathematics, and if she’s overwhelmed, Sigrid will fall asleep. Whenever she gets to study at the university library, Richard often helps her with her homework. • Sigrid grew more attached to Richard as he continued to visit Aina’s flower shop over the months, occasionally staying overnight if he’s unable to get to his rented hotel room during his travels. It got more difficult when they officially became a couple having a long distance relationship and Richard constantly called overseas. • Sigrid does get a little too curious about what Richard does for a living (besides collecting souls as Death’s incarnation). Richard is an epidemiologist who treats people with diseases caused by curses (Sigrid has a life curse, so naturally he was drawn to her); one of his patients was Freyja’s mother Sonja who was cursed by a troll and slowly dying as she gradually turns to stone. Because of his numerous attempts to make treatments for her condition, Richard has been called a “Quack” by Erik. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #blue #red #green #pink #purple #comic

Another thing these two daddies have in common: Both have holiday birthdays!🧁 Tyrone loves it when it’s his birthday at work because everyone has brought food over for Thanksgiving. Hr. Dr. Kasper hates it when it’s his birthday at work because HE has to bring home-baked pastries and ice cream for everyone - even more so when it’s also Christmas time (where he’s from in Germany/Denmark, I read that it’s actually custom for the birthday boy/girl to bring the goods to work - WTF 😦) - Tyrone’s birthday is 27 November, which often occurs on a Thanksgiving Thursday.🦃 Thanksgiving is obviously his favorite holiday not only because it’s his birthday, but also because of all the amazing food his grandma and wife cooks and he gets to watch all the football he wants on TV with his family (he’s from Houston, Texas, so he’s fiercely loyal to his hometown team). Hr. Dr. Kasper was born a second shy of Christmas Eve on 23 December.🎄 Where he’s from in Europe, Christmas Eve is the day when gifts are exchanged and the tree is brought in for decoration, and his family thinks of him as the ultimate present - especially for his grandparents (Olaf wanted an heir after Richard, and Aina was so proud that her daughter Sigrid was even able to have a child). However, it was also a sad time because his mother Sigrid died on Christmas Day - therefore he can be a bit of a mopey grouch when the peak holiday season starts (it’s also bad luck to talk about birthdays early in his homeland, so he really tries to avoid anything associated with it as much as possible). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #animestyle #frauv8_ocs #men #man #holidayseason #holiday #holidaybirthday #thanksgiving #christmas #turkey #christmastree #brown #red #grey #gray #black #white #falloutfits #winteroutfits #fallfashion #winterfashion

Hallo World! Did you miss me? 👻 I’ve been away for quite some time due to work (for anyone who hasn’t seen my past IG Stories, I’ve been sucked down a purple vortex in Del Mar known as the Breeders’ Cup - basically the World Cup or Super Bowl for horse racing 🏇). Now that’s over, I can relax and get back to my scribbles and doodles (seriously - I’m a mental wreck after driving, hotel hopping, and barely eating anything for the last several days). I haven’t posted the last few pics I’ve done prior to my absence (I’ll get them up soon), but here’s this one done today. Basically I just drew Richard, Sigrid, and Johannes Faustuz with a basic Red-Blue-Green color scheme and wearing Fall fashions from the 1970s, 1980s, and 2020s (which are heavily inspired by the 1990s). And of course, I couldn’t help coloring in some plaid stripes (I really love stripes, okay). — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #characterdesign #characterart #charactersheet #originalcharacter #man #girl #youngwoman #father #mother #son #fashion #red #blue #green #yellow #plaid

Another #sketchdump with some extra tacked on the end. 💕Sigrid often gets teased by her mother Aina whenever she’s around Richard, especially when she’s caught chatting with him instead of working at the flower shop (both will talk nonstop about video games and sci-fi movies). It didn’t take long before Aina would also tease Richard, asking when he’ll propose and give her grandchildren. 📚Sigrid and two classmates at the all-girls (enchantress) academy. She was bullied for not being very rich (her father abandoned her and Aina, leaving them broke and Sigrid with less than 20 years of life), and relying on plants to create spells instead of “one’s inner ability” (enchantresses tend to be from high-born families with inherited wealth; using plants is also considered “primitive” to modern enchantresses, thus why Sigrid and Aina are both called “witches”). Despite this, Sigrid excelled in her studies and was ranked top student in the academy - only adding to the ire of her classmates. Her classmates were quick and eager to get Sigrid expelled when it was revealed she had been secretly dating; but since she died, they’ve expressed regret for their cruelty - especially after seeing Aina with her grandson. 💐Sigrid delivering a bouquet with her neighbor’s/home room teacher’s cat Hedy; she loves making and delivering flower bouquets because it brings joy to others. She also enjoys riding her bike to see the main sights of Copenhagen to briefly escape the academy and flower shop. Her pink bicycle is now ridden by her grandson Cedrick who uses it to pick up groceries and other supplies the many critters at home need. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #girls #blackcat #pinkbicycle #redroses #blue #green #yellow #red #pink #white #black #brown
