Hr. Dr. Kasper looks like a mad scientist here.😈⚗️🧪 I might of also gotten a bit carried away with the neon colors, but meh - it’s what it is, lol. As usual, I added animated effects using the app Pixaloop. I also included the line art for anyone who wants to color it themselves (tag @frauv8 #frauv8colorthisin so I can find your work easily). - Johannes Faustuz has jars of bizarre specimens he has inherited and collected over the years displayed in his work office (Who can spot the Meerjunfrau?🧜🏼‍♀️). He’s also an avid collector of miscellaneous books and periodicals in English, German, and Japanese (sometimes Danish, though he’s not fluent) since he likes reading in his spare time when he’s not diagnosing diseases, performing operations, or traveling abroad tracking down and capturing/killing rogue mythical creatures. Somewhere amongst his books is a copy of Freyja’s fashion magazine - can you find it? - Faustuz has his hair up this time, and is wearing a bright green collared shirt paired with a magenta tie. He’s a man who likes being punctual and efficient thus he often wears high-end watches to make sure he’s always on time (his watch here is based off a NOMOS). As for his expression, perhaps a creature in human disguise just walked in? Both Faustuz and his son Cedrick give off the same crazed look whenever they sense a potentially dangerous creature nearby and want to catch it for “further research” (which usually means killing it and performing a vivisection). Another simple color scheme pic with these two guys.🤦🏻‍♀️ I really need to find more challenging color schemes, lol. This one is basically hues of green, red, yellow with black line art and white accents for the eyes and lab coat. I kept the coloring flat since the line art is dark and quite bold. The line art style is a bit reminiscent of my inking with Sharpies back in 2006-07. I included both versions of the line art for coloring (just tag @frauv8 #colorthis_fv8). - The second version with Papa Kasper’s hair up was my final choice because it seems more balanced with the blank space (original version on last slide). No glasses for either one of them since the frames will interfere with the limited details on their faces, and the pic isn’t big and zoomed in. As usual, Cedrick has his mismatched scrubs and shoes (pink slipper on one foot, Adidas Superstar on the other) while his father Johannes Faustuz is in dark grey scrubs topped with a lab coat and wears Puma Suedes. Happy New Year! 🎆 I’ve been really busy with work, but now with one day off, I managed to draw my main OCs in a cutesy style. - Freyja’s hair color and style here matches more with her original design from 2005, but I overall prefer her with redder hair shown in her current design. Johannes Faustuz is by far my most consistent character based on looks, and Cedrick has become more younger, shorter, and “adorkable” considering the fact that he’s supposed to be about fifteen. - The second slide is a pic of them from early 2018 when I started being more active in Instagram; it’s a realistic style I’m not too fond of, and looking back at it now, the colors are nice but very flat. We all know what the current cutest thing is right now - it’s freaking #babyyoda! - Cedrick is one very crafty kid. Training to be a surgeon and being descended from Viking blacksmiths, he’s very skillful with his hands. He’s creative like his mother’s side, able to come up with crazy designs for random stuff like plushies; but like his father’s side, he’s practical in using whatever he has available at the moment, often using old clothes and cheap supplies like cotton balls (it’s Cedrick’s craftiness with unconventional items that inspired the idea of Freyja’s TV show “FLASH FASHION”). - Looking at the supplies shown, the left-handed shears a big deal for the Kaspers since both Cedrick and his mother Freyja are officially left-handed; Johannes Faustuz appears to be right-handed, but he’s been caught left-handed with things such as eating, drinking, using technology, and other small tasks (it’s suspected he was forced to be right-handed due to his aunt’s strict upbringing and grandfather’s superstitious beliefs). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #comic #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #youngman #teenageboy #babyyodaplush #frauv8_ocs

Happy Christmas Day!🎄 And I’m ( 12 x 3 ) - 4. Back in the day when I was a wee student, I made pretend magazine covers. You’d think I’d be making tons of them now since I make promo graphics for a living, but nope. Well, I just randomly felt like making one for Freyja, and I did a lot of looking at fashion magazines. TBH, a lot of fashion magazines have too much text in front that it distracts from the photo. BUT it is a thick stack of paper ads with articles so I understand why there’s a lot of headlines on the cover, but then there’s a table of contents... *sigh* - Growing up in the 90s to early 2000s, there were lots of gorgeous supermodels and actresses that were all over the magazines and TV. Freyja is kinda a combination of Heidi Klum and Nicole Kidman, but a bit more Klum since Freyja is a model/TV host like her (“FLASH FASHION” is kinda an ode to “PROJECT RUNWAY”). - The magazine name should look familiar if you’ve looked carefully at some of my previous pics (check the last 2 slides and zoom in to find it). “DER MODISCHE” (“The Fashionable One”) is the name of Freyja’s magazine; “MODERN” was added in to emphasize the English on the cover, though I looked it up and in Swedish “modern” could mean “fashionable” (“mode” is “fashion” in both German and Swedish). - The art style is also softer, more realistic compared to my usual work. I also made sure Freyja has her freckles this time (she’s strawberry-blonde, so she should have them). Quick “Wunderkind’s Notes” on the turkey. Cedrick just thinks turkey is just an overrated big bird (which it is; I actually like roasted chicken or duck better). - Yes, Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird of the USA (turkeys are actually quite aggressive birds, just not very pretty to look at). And yes, turkey meat (if not cooked right) is dry and needs a heavy dose of gravy to make it more enjoyable. And cranberry sauce... don’t eat the canned stuff if you can avoid it. - The second slide is a written script of the spin-off to last year’s Tyrone’s turkey troubles. Kinda has a Goofy instructional video vibe to it, a little meta since the Kaspers are talking to the audience, but overall it’s so silly and not really worth making into a comic. (Seriously, who wants to hear Cedrick speak in sexy anatomical terms on how to carve a turkey?) Not all my comics have prepared scripts, and lots of times the final isn’t like the original. Both Kasper guys are lactose intolerant, so most likely straight black coffee or soy versions of popular holiday drinks (the soy version of the peppermint mocha coffee latte is delicious). Where the Kaspers come from, Winter is cold, rainy, and often snowy.
