Richard Kasper with Hedy and Odin’s last litter of kittens Balder, Thor, and Loki. Hedy was named after the actress for her dark hair, while Odin was named after the Kaspers’ “Odin’s Eye” ability expressed as Heterochromia; each of their kittens were named after Norse gods based on their looks - the orange one is Thor, the grey one is Loki, and the white one is Balder. - As a Grim Reaper/Death, Richard normally isn’t fond of cats having extra lives and often chasing souls away like balls of yarn; but because he’s the incarnation of Death, cats are naturally drawn to him. Since his girlfriend Sigrid loves cats, Richard’s learned to tolerate them over time - even to the point he lets them sit on him (Hedy actually gave birth to her first litter on his lap). — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #drawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #man #cats #kittens #blue #yellow #green #brown #black #white

Still alive. Been busy driving and working, only to drop straight into bed at the end of the day to wake up early and start the cycle all over again. For one day just to stay awake for work, I had a whole can of V8 Energy drink, a large cup of iced coffee latte, and over half a can of Mountain Dew Rise with occasional walks around the work compound. (Yes, I’m that tired; it’s always like this at the start of a new racing meet down at Del Mar) So here’s a quick drawing of this guy running around for the meantime while I recover. — #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #characterart #malecharacter #man #doctor #labcoat #scrubs #blond #longhair #green #white #grey #gray #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #frauv8_ocs

I don’t want to draw any books for a while…💀 I still love them though. I have the closeup, original, comic book textured, and uncolored versions posted here. - OCs Hr. Dr. Kasper and Tricia Williams doing some research together at the library. Who knows what they’re talking about… Maybe he’s telling her about Wikipedia barely being a thing when he was a freshman so he still had to rely on physical encyclopedias and archive cards for information, revealing that he’s actually a Millennial (Tricia had always called him a Boomer since his hair is so light that it looks white, assuming he’s much older than he is). 📝PERSONAL NOTE: Wikipedia is a great resource to find other documentation for research papers, but not for direct citation (because a lot of articles often have uncertified info); an amazing research resource is EBSCOhost, which was my favorite when I had to write papers. — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #man #girl #student #professor #library #books #fashion #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #animestyle #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #drawing #blue #red #pink #white #black

From the Scrap Pile: Death Himself (formerly Richard Kasper) keeping a close eye on his son Hr. Dr. Kasper. (2nd Slide from an old pic drawn over a year ago) Death keeps his wife Sigrid, brother Heinrich, and other beloved people’s souls over his many lifetimes nearby for company. Death mostly stays underground communicating telepathically to Grim Reapers, but occasionally he’ll pop up above ground wearing his black robe to personally deliver case files or join in the fight for a little fun. It took a few years for Johannes Faustuz to figure out that his father was Death all along, making him very spiteful. Faustuz felt like he was abandoned as a child when Richard couldn’t remain “human” without losing chunks of flesh and coughing out bodily fluids - thus Richard “died” when he finally hid away and left his son with his brother Heinrich and sister-in-law Yoko. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #malecharacter #death #grimreaper #scythe #black

Another #sketchdump : Sigrid’s former crush Batty Sorensen. A sketch is missing because it won’t fit within Instagram’s square format (refer to the highlight “SIGRID’S DIARY” to see it). - Sigrid was in love with the local arcade owner’s oldest son Sebastian (nicknamed “Batty”). Batty was 6 years older than her - athletic, stoic, tall, dark-haired, and the beau of the neighborhood (Sigrid wasn’t initially attracted to Richard because he was almost the opposite - Richard was also tall and athletic but fair, blond, wore glasses, outgoing, and much older). She watched him from a distance behind a wall, often blushing and stammering whenever she tried talking with him; Batty would just shove her aside and called her “an annoying waste of space and time” (he was aware of her life curse and felt he should ignore her to avoid becoming attached). Batty enrolled into the police academy after graduating high school, leaving Sigrid in limbo about his whereabouts. Months prior to Richard’s appearance Batty had Sigrid make a bouquet of flowers for him (which she poured her all her love into it); Sigrid’s heart shattered when she heard that he had proposed to an older schoolmate, leaving her bitter and believing she no longer had a chance living out her childhood dream of getting married before her curse takes effect. When Richard started visiting Sigrid and researching at the local university more often, Batty often confronted him to maintain his status as the “hero of the neighborhood”. Batty also didn’t like the fact a foreigner was dating the girl once obsessed with him, forcing him to reexamine his true feelings. After Sigrid’s death, Batty regretted how he treated her when she was alive and wondered how life would’ve been different if he had married her instead (he still hated Richard, carrying over those feelings over to Johannes Faustuz only because he looks like his father). — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipaddrawings #drawing #drawings #autodesksketchbook #comic #animestyle #red #blue #green #yellow #pink #purple #violet #man #men #girl #couple

“One eye blue, the other green which sees everything that can be seen.” - The Kaspers’ inherited trait “Odin’s Eye” is expressed as Heterochromia (Odd-Eyes). When activated, the right green eye allows him to see how long someone or something has long to live and their other vitals, making him able to assess how to defeat monsters and when he should arrive to collect a person’s soul when their time is up; otherwise, his green eye is nearly useless in normal sight and needs glasses or contacts to reduce eye strain. It’s easy to mistake a Kasper with glowing eyes as a cat in the dark; it’s a sign that either a monster is nearby or a soul needs collecting. — #frauv8ocs #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #man #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #drawing #ipaddrawing #black #white #grey #gray #blackandwhite #suit #hat #heterochromia #blond

Other version of the arcade idea I had, this time from behind and my usual art style with added effects. I feel like I should draw these two again turned around - normally I don’t draw characters from behind. - Ever since Sigrid was really little, she loved going to the arcade. Over the years she’s managed to beat games with only a coin and giving away her prize tickets to little kids to avoid trouble with other regular players; she’s close with the arcade owner and his family, calling him “Uncle Didier”. Richard also enjoys playing arcade games; he and Sigrid would occasionally play against each other to see who would get the highest score. As their relationship progressed, Richard lets Sigrid win more often to avoid having an angry girlfriend at the end of the date; if she lost, he would have to treat her with several ice cream cones to cool her temper (also being lactose intolerant makes going to an ice cream parlor awkward being pressured into buying a scoop for himself). Their son Johannes Faustuz inherited their love of video games, being a big fan of playing games such as ZELDA, POKÉMON, and FINAL FANTASY as a kid in the 90s; he still has his original GAMEBOY, but isn’t too happy with his son Cedrick constantly playing with it. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #drawing #pixaloop #motionleap #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #femalecharacter #malecharacter #couple #arcade #arcaderoom #arcademachine #arcademachines #1980s #green #yellow #red #purple #violet #blue #brown
