10/16: Richard Kasper in the art style of “BLEACH” Richard Kasper was renowned as Europe's preeminent Grim Reaper and once a notorious playboy. His physical presence, tall and fair with striking and unusual cat-like eyes, has always commanded attention. However, beneath this charismatic exterior lies the responsibility of being the current incarnation of Death. This transition occurred at the age of 21, granting him the power to shift between his ghastly form and his human body. This extraordinary ability comes at a high price — the gradual deterioration of his internal organs. His age as a deity stretches over 350,000, but his human birth remains a well-kept family secret, assumptions pointing to the early 1950s, post-World War II, during his father Olaf's service with the US government in Germany. Richard was marked by his status as the less-favored younger son, as his parents had initially hoped for a daughter. This unanticipated birth led to his mother's abandonment, seeking solace with an American soldier when he was just a toddler. Richard spent his formative years under the care of his maternal grandparents in Johannesburg, where he was exposed to African magical and medicinal practices. It wasn't until Heinrich's unexpected marriage to Yoko that Richard returned to Kiel, assuming the role of heir. His rebellious streak emerged as a reaction to these changed expectations, resulting in his reputation as a heartbreaker, with a string of ex-girlfriends and one-night stands. His engagement to Sheila barely lasted 2 years, breaking it off after discovering her true abusive nature towards his brother’s wife and children only because of their Asian ancestry. This cavalier attitude towards romance persisted until he received an assignment from Fate — the observation and eventual collection of the soul of Sigrid Jörgensen, igniting love within him. #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #bleach #titekubo #norakikubo #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #man #suit #blackandwhite #grimreaper #death

9/16: Kim Jun-Yeong in the style of “INUYASHA” (and “RANMA 1/2” - Rumiko Takahashi is an amazing manga artist) Kim Jun-Yeong, a young man hailing from Busan, South Korea, had aspirations of becoming an Architectural Engineer and was pursuing his studies in Los Angeles. Tragically, his life took a devastating turn during a routine walk to a local convenience store when he fell victim to a robber's gunshot, leaving him to pass away abruptly and alone. It was in this dire moment that Richard Kasper, coincidentally nearby on a mission to track down a rogue monster, intervened to collect Kim's departing soul. However, Kim's spirit held a strong, unfulfilled yearning to complete his studies, and this desire only intensified during the decades he spent in the Underworld. Recently, he managed to break free from the confines of Death's barrier and returned to the university where he had once pursued his dreams. With a form solidified through condensed ice crystals, Kim resumed his studies, forming an unexpected bond with Tricia Williams, the sole student in the Biology class who could perceive his presence. Curiously, Hr. Dr. Kasper was summoned to investigate the mysterious cold spells that disrupted Professor Vinnie DeValeur's lectures. This investigation unveiled the truth: Kim was responsible for the temperature fluctuations and was, in fact, a phantom student taking on the guise of a Gwisin. Despite his unique circumstances, Kim remains resolute in his commitment to attend classes diligently and accompany Tricia, even to the point of inciting jealousy when she engages in tutoring sessions with Cedrick. He has made a promise to Death (Richard) and his son to return to the Underworld upon completing his studies, ensuring he remains devoted to his academic pursuits. - #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #manga #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #man #halftone #inuyasha #ranma½ #rumikotakahashi #gwisin #blackandwhite

8/16: Freyja Ström in the style of “NANA” (as well as “PARADISE KISS”) Freyja is the enigmatic and renowned wife of Hr. Dr. Kasper and the doting yet overbearing mother of Cedrick. She is the sole offspring of Erik Ström, the patriarch of STRÖM CORPORATIONS & INDUSTRIES, and despite being the only female among the five Ström siblings, she is the designated heir of the family estate. Freyja, a Pesta like her mother, possesses unique skills, unable to see souls and lacking the ability to wield a broom for capturing them. Instead, she relies on her training from her father, honing her expertise in combat against supernatural entities with occult weaponry. Freyja is renowned for her transition from a teenage supermodel to the popular host of "FASHION FASHION," a widely-watched TV show, with her cousin Einar as her co-host. Before her marriage to Hr. Dr. Kasper, Freyja was once betrothed to her cousin Werner, serving as a compromise to secure her position as the future heiress of the family estate. However, following "The Bluebeard Incident," where Johannes rescued her from a monstrous threat, her four male cousins unanimously agreed to support her marriage to Johannes, who would subsequently assume control of the family estate, while they would manage the family business. Freyja's love for her family is evident in her nurturing and protective nature, demonstrated by her signature dish, "Kraken Surprise," even though her culinary skills are lacking, especially given her choice of such a formidable creature as an ingredient. #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #nana #aiyazawa #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #femalecharacter #woman #halftone #blackandwhite #mangachaptercover

7/16: Heinrich Kasper in the style of “SOUL EATER” (or “FIRE FORCE” - same creator) Heinrich, the older brother of Richard, was the former heir to the Kasper legacy, possessing the coveted "Odin's Eye" ability, allowing him to discern vital information about individuals. He was a well-behaved and studious child, cherished by his parents. Despite their hope for a daughter, Heinrich insisted on having a younger brother. Heinrich assumed a fatherly role for Richard after their mother departed the family for an American soldier when Richard was a toddler. He revealed Richard's true identity as the current incarnation of Death. Despite being betrothed to Sonja (Freyja's mother), Heinrich fell in love with Yoko, a Japanese-Korean woman he met during an overseas trip, leading to the dissolution of his betrothal and Richard's elevation to heir. Initially critical of Richard's relationship with Sigrid due to her young age and curse, Heinrich came to appreciate her intelligence and strong personality after a chess match defeat. Heinrich and Yoko have two children, Hansel and Hannah, who didn't inherit "Odin's Eye" due to Mendelian genetics rules. They later adopted Johannes when Richard could no longer maintain his human form. Despite stepping down as heir, Heinrich continued to collect souls alongside his father and brother, using cigarette smoke as part of his tactics. #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #souleater #fireforce #atushiohkubo #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #man #suit #halftone #blackandwhite #smoke #smoking

6/16: Sigrid Jörgensen in the style of “TOKYO GHOUL” anime (Page 2 was my first attempt which I think looks more like STUDIO GHIBLI) Sigrid, a teenage Wicca, bore her father's curse due to her gender, being a Wicca rather than an Enchantress, and a unique mutation that gave her unparalleled Magical Potential, challenging Danish magical history. The Life Curse threatened her before her 20th birthday. Despite relying on Activation Potions for spellcasting, Sigrid excelled as the top student at the Enchantress Academy headed by her stepmother, facing ceaseless bullying from envious peers and faculty. She helped her mother Aina in their Copenhagen flower shop, where her younger half-brother Torben was fiercely protective. Torben disliked her crush, Sebastian "Batty" Sorensen, but admired Richard, who aided the family as a Handyman and tutor. Initially resentful of Richard as her assigned Grim Reaper, Sigrid's feelings changed over time. Despite his tainted heritage, playboy reputation, and age gap, they fell in love and secretly dated until their relationship was revealed. They hastily got engaged and married to avoid further scandal. Tragedy struck when her curse finally took effect days after giving birth to Johannes. #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #tokyoghoul #suiishida #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #femalecharacter #girl #schoolgirl #wicca #witch

5/16 OCs: Einar Ström drawn in the style of YU-GI-OH! Einar stands as one of Freyja's four male cousins, positioned third in the line-up. Born to Sven, Erik's youngest sibling, and elder to Gunnar, Einar enjoys a special place in Freyja's heart, their shared interests notably including a passion for fashion and dressing up. Collaborating as co-hosts for the television show "FLASH FASHION," they display their shared flair, while in their family enterprise, Einar's purview is the financial domain. Openly embracing his identity, Einar identifies as gay, a truth that unfolded progressively alongside the stories of his siblings and cousins, who were all taken under the wing of Erik and Sonja after being estranged from the family estate due to their parents’ opposition to their grandfather Aki's decree that pronounced Freyja heir to STRÖM INDUSTRIES & CORPORATIONS. With an affinity for the finer things in life, Einar's penchant for opulence is well-known, as is his trail of relationships with various boyfriends through the years. In playful jest, he engages in harmless flirting with Johannes, a move intended to rib his cousin Freyja, though the nature of his connection with her husband remains a mystery. Einar also possesses a supernatural gift, enabling him to briefly manipulate thoughts and read minds, albeit at the price of enduring intense migraines for the remainder of the day. #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #kazukitakahashi #yugioh #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #prequel #prequelapp #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #malecharacter #man #suit #halftone

4/16 OCs in different art styles: Aina Faustus drawn as a POKÉMON character (her real name is Aino Hannien) Aina, Johannes' grandmother and Sigrid's mother, boasts a relatively youthful appearance at around 200 years old, though she currently resembles an elderly woman in her early 80s. Her albinism lends her an ethereal air, accentuated by the presence of ruby-red eyes that sparkle with unflagging vitality. To distance herself from her ex-husband Samuel Jörgensen, Aina underwent a partial name change, reshaping her identity. Managing a flower shop that extends beyond its botanical offerings, Aina curates an array of antiquities, curiosities, and magical potions, catering to both Wicca and Enchantresses who frequent her establishment. Aina is the proud owner and caretaker of a feline companion named Lamarr, a descendant of the lineage stemming from Hedy and Odin. Her role in initially encouraging a romantic connection between Sigrid and Richard is notable, as she eagerly anticipated the blossoming of affection between the two. Yet, Aina's perception shifted upon discovering Richard's true nature as Death, a revelation that came when she observed him extracting Sigrid's soul. This revelation cast a shadow on her sentiment towards him, despite her awareness of his deep love for Sigrid and his pivotal role in the birth of her cherished grandson Johannes. 3/16 of OCs drawn in different art styles: Sheila Weiße (also spelled “Weisse”) in the style of HUNTER X HUNTER. [not sure if I matched the style TBH] - Sheila Weisse once held the position as Richard Kasper's fiancée. Their engagement, orchestrated by Richard's father Olaf, lasted nearly two years. Sheila hailed from a low-tier Enchantress background, part of a nouveau riche family striving for elevated standing within Occult society. This ambition led her to align herself with the infamous Kasper Family. Despite her physical attractiveness, Sheila displayed an insatiable craving for opulence and extravagance, coupled with a fiery temper and an evident disdain for those she perceived as socially or racially beneath her. Richard's financial ruin swiftly followed due to Sheila's extravagant spending, prompting the closure of his private medical practice and the derailment of his career as a doctor. In response, he promptly terminated the engagement and barred her from the Kasper family estate after discovering her ill treatment of his sister-in-law Yoko and hurling racial slurs at both her and his young nephew and niece. Olaf, outraged by his son's decision to sever the engagement, clashed with Richard. In return, Richard staunchly declared that he would prefer to let the family bloodline end with him upon his return to his true identity as Death, rather than spend his remaining human years alongside such a malevolent woman. Months subsequent to their separation, Sheila's sentiments shifted, veering toward pity for Richard's circumstance of undertaking menial roles within the Occult Community. She also developed an intense yearning to revive their past relationship. However, this inclination became increasingly tinged with jealousy over Richard's newfound romantic involvement with Sigrid Jörgensen-Faustus. #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #hunterxhunter #yoshihirotogashi #togashiyoshihiro #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #femalecharacter #woman #lilly #lillies #flowers #dots #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #blackandwhite

The second of 16 OCs redrawn in their assigned art style: Granger Rodriguez - DRAGON BALL I never got into Dragon Ball or its later iterations, but I’m familiar with some of the lore and art style because I had friends and family members who did watch it regularly (I know it’s loosely based off the MONKEY KING folklore). Granger, a Grim Reaper based in America, is Death's capable Secretary who also adeptly disguises herself as a local police officer. Despite her youthful appearance of a woman around 30 years old, she boasts an astonishing age of over 600 years. Emerging as the eldest sibling in a family of three, Granger's lineage stems from the union of a Spanish Warlock, posing as a priest, and a Mestiza Native American Wicca. Her siblings include Carmen, a Junior Reaper who takes on the appearance of a high school student, and Tobias, her youngest brother who maintains the visage of a 10-year-old child. With a penchant for playful taunting and a knack for getting under Hr. Dr. Kasper's skin, Granger's unique connection to Death makes her the go-to for direct assignments from the Reaper himself, even though she harbors some aversion to the Kaspers residing within her family's territory. #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #dragonball #dragonballz #akiratoriyama #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #femalecharacter #woman #policeofficer #clouds #blue #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #prequelapp

The first of 16 OCs redrawn in their assigned art style: Tricia Williams - ONE PIECE I thought it would be interesting to draw Tricia in this style considering there’s a lot of female characters in the series (I got left behind many years ago - I just started High School when I first read it in SHONEN JUMP and watched the anime, and I wasn’t able to keep up when I started College 💀). #digitalart #digitaldrawing #art #drawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #onepiece #odaeiichiro #eiichirooda #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #artwork #originalart #originalcharacter #characterart #femalecharacter #teengirl #afropuffs #blackgirl #volleyball #artoninstagram #artistoninstagram #blackandwhite

A little practice after almost 2 years being tortured by Duolingo - and I still think I’m no good.🥲 … Well, I’m actually doing good reading German and French, though spelling words without a Wörterbuch is a NIGHTMARE. 💀 Listening is a little hit-‘n-miss, but I’m able to understand some phrases without looking at the subtitles on Netflix. Each language has their quirk and frustrations (i.e. FRENCH with their stupid silent letters, GERMAN with split verbs and 3 “Genders”), but sometimes I’m having fun and blaze through my lessons with ease. (And for anyone wondering, yes I still write most of my notes in cursive - or what some jokingly call “Doctor Writings” because so many can’t read cursive at all these days and it looks a lot like a handwritten doctor’s prescription) - In Sigrid’s pic, some of her labels have Danish in red underneath the German showing how very similar those words are (makes sense since Denmark and Germany are right next to each other). My pics are also cutoff in order to fit the 4:5 ratio, so not everything is in frame (original format for both are 2:3). I had a lot of fun with each color scheme, one being warm and the other cool in tone (the pics are also complementary to each other). Both dress well, but being set in the 1980s Sigrid does poke fun at Richard by calling him “Old Man” wearing stuff from the previous decade (his true identity as Death actually makes him quite ancient at over 350,000 years old). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #art #drawing #artwork #originalartwork #originalart #artoninstagram #artworkoninstagram #artistoninstagram #animestyle #animeaesthetic #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #characterdesign #characterart #character #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #notes #fashion #clothes #clothing #german

Sigrid’s love interests: Sebastian “Batty” Sorensen & Richard “Dickie” Kasper - Batty was a very stoic guy who showed little affection yet all the girls in the neighborhood adored him for his dark hair and striking sapphire-blue eyes. Batty also joined the police academy soon after graduating High School and returned home as a rookie cop, putting an uniform on top of his good looks. Sigrid had been in love with him since they first met as children at his father’s arcade, but Batty rejected her confession in favor for another schoolmate at her academy (as the neighborhood’s beau he thought should date the most beautiful girl around). He also knew of her shortened lifespan due to her father’s curse, adding to his view of Sigrid “as a waste of his time”. After Richard first appeared helping out at Sigrid’s mother’s flower shop, Batty started feeling suspicious and jealous mainly because he was spending a lot of time with Sigrid and taking her attention away (Batty also didn’t like the fact Richard was a foreigner, much older, and comes from an occult family notorious for partaking in history’s unfortunate events). As Sigrid and Richard’s relationship blossomed, Batty’s own romance was quickly crumbling apart - adding to his disgust towards the man he sees as his rival (his engagement was broken, he was expecting twins with his ex-fiancée, and he was being sent to another city’s police department away from his immediate family). It wasn’t until after news of Sigrid’s death he regretted not reciprocating her love and wondered how different his life would’ve been if he had dated and married her instead (it’s why Batty has complicated feelings whenever Johannes visits Copenhagen - he pities him not growing up knowing his mother Sigrid but also detests him since he physically takes after his father Richard). - #art #drawing #digitalart #digtaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #artistsoninstagram #artistoninstagram #artofinstagram #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #malecharacter #man #men #datingsim #clothes #1980s #vhsaesthetic #animestyle #prequel #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk

Wunderkind’s Notes: Souls “ Each living thing has a set time to die when an assigned Grim Reaper is sent to collect the soul once it detaches from the body. In such moments such as an accident or murder, the soul is forcefully removed to lessen the odds of having a "Lost Soul" which could lead to the creation of Monsters or harmful Spirits/Ghosts. If there's a rare case of Life Curses, Death Himself will collect the soul as part of the exchange made by the Spellcaster. If left wandering on their own, most souls will gather in the prescence of Grim Reapers - especially those with close connections with Death Himself. Souls come in many colors and prefer to be round in shape (which makes them easily played and chased away by cats - which explains "The Zoomies" and staring at emepty spaces - and this is one reason why Death and Grim Reapers hate cats). “ - Featured here are Richard/Death and Sigrid’s son Johannes with his own son Cedrick. Most say Johannes looks just like Richard, but he has a bit of Sigrid if you look closer (i.e. hairstyle, jawline, and a teeny bit of the eye shape, all traits Sigrid inherited from her father Samuel). Cedrick is a bit harder to say which relative he looks like the most - he’s blond like his father, both grandfathers, and one of his mother’s cousins (Werner); he does have a hint of freckles on his face and is left-handed - both traits he inherited from Freyja (both Richard and Johannes are ambidextrous; Sigrid’s right-handed). - #art #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #artistsoninstagram #artoninstagram #drawing #animestyle #mangastyle #father #son #fatherson #halftone #black #white #blackandwhite #souls #grimreaper #notes #comics #comic
