Death’s Son dressed to kill. 💀 - Hr. Dr. Kasper hates being referred to as “Death’s Son”, “Der Sensenmanns Sohn”, or even “Dickie’s Boy” by the Occult community mainly because it makes him feel inferior and he hates being associated with the very entity that he battles as a doctor (he’s also a Reaper, but prefers to have his victims on good terms and willing to let go of their souls; as for rogue monsters, he’s merciless like all Kaspers before him). He’s not very forgiving of his father being the one who ultimately “killed” his mother Sigrid (removed her soul soon after he was born), or how his abrupt “death” came to be when he was a child (made himself look like he died from a respiratory infection when in reality he was rapidly reverting back to his skeletal form). But being Death’s son also makes many fear him just from hearing his name, especially for those who’ve personally seen Death as Richard Kasper - he was called “Death Incarnate” because of his no-nonsense and cruel methods of collecting souls and killing monsters, often leaving behind a visceral scene and people emotionally scarred (only a very few people refer to Richard as “Playboy Dick” because of his past of dating numerous women before shattering their hearts - some to the point of dying; this is another reason why Hr. Dr. Kasper doesn’t like is father - past lovers had approached him thinking he was Richard). One more major reason why he despises Death is because people would add how much he looks just like his human form and wonder if he’ll be joining him soon since he’s approximately the age when all incarnations of Death “die” (35-40). He’s not quite ready to be an extension of Death Himself, but he’s doesn’t plan to quit his current living role as nephew, cousin, father, husband, colleague, friend, doctor, and professor anytime soon. — #originalcharacter #characterdesign #characterart #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #grimreaper #skullmask #black #green #brown #blue #yellow #red #pink #grey #gray

Sigrid and Richard at her academy’s masquerade-themed formal dinner. - The annual formal dinner is the only time students can bring a potential date to campus (dating is prohibited until they finished school, at about 21 years old; Sigrid wouldn’t live up to that age due to her curse, so she had to keep her romance with Richard secret). Everyone at the academy was shocked to see that Sigrid actually brought a guest with her, assuming she’ll be alone or not show up due to being rejected by her childhood crush Batty and no other boys in the neighborhood interested dating her since she doesn’t have much time left to live. And she didn’t bring any ordinary guy with her - it was the very Reaper assigned to take her soul when her curse takes effect: the notorious youngest son of Europe’s deadliest Reaper “The Black Skull of Kiel” called “Death Incarnate” because of his swift and gruesome method of killing monsters and collecting souls from those who are due. Sigrid also induced a lot of jealousy amongst the girls not only because she was paired with a much older and more refined partner compared to their male guests, but also the heir of the Kasper Family, which despite its dark history is an ancient and powerful bloodline within the occult world (Sigrid herself is descended from a long line of powerful Slavic witches and the daughter of Denmark’s most powerful Warlock, but ended being a Wicca unable to cast spells without the assistance of potions made from plants and animals; she’s also the academy’s headmistress’ stepdaughter). It’s still a night many talk about amongst faculty and alumni over the years since Sigrid’s death, especially when they happen to see her son visiting Copenhagen. — #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalart #ipaddrawing #ipadart #digitalart #digitaldrawing #frauv8_ocs #black #white #grey #gray #blackandwhite #couple #dance #1980sfashion #suit #dress

#sketchdump •Normally Richard hates cats because they’re constantly attracted to him and chase unclaimed wandering souls away like yarn balls (annoying for Reapers, especially when he’s the actual Grim Reaper Death Himself; this is why Kaspers have pet dogs, especially Hellhounds). But since meeting Sigrid (who loves cats), he’s been able to tolerate them more - up to the point he’s attached to the neighborhood tomcat Odin and Sigrid’s neighbor’s cat Hedy. •Sigrid often gets cold whenever she’s out and about. She’s not fond of Richard’s fur coat fashion-wise (she said it makes him look like a wild bear), but as soon as he wraps her in it, she immediately forgets how much she hates it with its warmth and scent (Richard wears Calvin Klein Obsession cologne). •Sigrid’s childhood crush Batty constantly rebuffs her affection over the years, finally up to the point he started dating an older girl from her academy and recently proposed. She initially took out her heartbroken frustrations out on Richard when they first met, but with each visit to her mother’s flower shop, Sigrid slowly became attached to him despite his reputation as a Playboy and true identity as Death. She’s finally opening up, wondering if he’d like to go to the formal dinner with her at the academy (I might draw up something with this idea in mind; and because it’s a masquerade, Richard could hide his true form under a mask…). •And Richard got a haircut… (the resemblance between him and his son really shows once the curls are gone) Because Hr. Dr. Kasper looks almost like a carbon-copy of his father, he grows his hair out long - which is straight and silky just like his mother Sigrid’s. — #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs #animestyle #comic #couple #cat #man #girl #pink #green #red #blue #yellow #orange #white

#dtiyschallenge by @emmalainearts - I could of tried spending a bit more time working on it to match the color scheme more and add more detail, but my wrist and elbow has been acting up again and my eyes aren’t up for staring at my iPad longer than a few hours at a time (my left eyelid finally stopped twitching - for now). Even my focus and energy levels is kaput, so for the time being, I’ll probably be posting stuff I haven’t posted here yet, maybe some reposts, and a few sketch dumps - my poor drawing hand needs a break, and I need a recharge. And~ I’m also kinda upset that I’m running out of stuff to watch, lol. I just finished all of “Queer Eye Germany” and “The Andy Warhol Diaries” on Netflix, both I really liked (I always have something on TV in front of me while I draw). — #ipadart #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #femalecharacter #demongirl #red #orange #black #yellow #gold #green #brown #dtiys #emmalainearts

Hr. Dr. Kasper, Cedrick, and their distant cousin Kiya (Yevdokiya). - Kiya is staying with the Kasper Family until Auntie Vasilisa (Baba Yaga) is finished casting her complex spells repairing and relocating their house from the Red Forest of Chernobyl (it’s a really big house with chicken legs and skull lanterns). She’s almost two years older than Cedrick but looks like she could be his twin or younger sister, and is a Junior Reaper like Cedrick. She’s still in High School (unlike Cedrick who’s a Wunderkind and working with his father), has a very nurturing personality (she treats Cedrick as the little sibling she always wanted), and likes making yarn dolls and sweaters. Freyja has been enjoying having another girl in the house, Faustuz has been a bit apprehensive since she randomly magically appeared via his grandmother Aina’s teleportation potion, and Cedrick… he’s the only boy with older girl cousins on both sides of his family, so he’ll be fine. — #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #characterdesign #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #teenboy #teengirl #blue #yellow #green #fashion

Wunderkind’s Notes 📝: “Sleipnir was Odin’s eight-legged horse and one of Loki’s children. He’s said to be the ‘best of all horses’ being able to ride anywhere, including Hell. His name means ’Slipper’, and is described to be a grey horse.” - Søren (also spelled “Sören”) is a Sleipnir colt found abandoned by his mother in the Kaspers’ backyard. He gets his name after Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard (from a brief glance, this guy was really focused on the meaning of existence). For many weeks the whole family has been having sleepless nights hearing constant neighs, having Freyja suspecting there’s a Nightmare roaming around (Quick Fact: the word “Nightmare” has no connection with the English word “Mare” for female horse; it’s from combination of Germanic words that refers to a date/time with a demon that haunts using dreams). Like the incident with Fritz the Wolpertinger, Hr. Dr. Kasper wanted to prove his wife that Nightmares aren’t real creatures (Freyja mistook Fritz as a Skvader, which isn’t a real creature but a made-up one by a Swedish hunter’s tale). With their son Cedrick, the whole family searched amongst the bushes and finally found the colt curled up in fright. After lots of coaxing and offerings of carrots, they finally got the colt to follow them inside “The Doghouse” where he can be warm and safe inside the patio-area. Søren has gotten more mischievous as he’s grown more accustomed to the Kaspers by nibbling on Freyja’s plants, head-butting Johannes Faustuz, and trotting circles around Cedrick with Frl. Flicka; eventually once he’s grown up, Søren will be sent to Sweden to live with Erik where he can roam more freely and possibly meet other Sleipnir. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #mythicalcreatures #sleipnir #notes

Hr. Dr. Kasper finally found the source of all the random neighing happening at night in the backyard - it was a little abandoned eight-legged Sleipnir colt! It’s not known how long Søren will stay with the Kaspers, but he’s turning into a troublemaker eating Freyja’s miniature golden apples and other garden plants - but at the same time, he’s a new playmate for Fritz and Frl. Flicka; eventually when he gets much bigger, Søren would most likely be sent to Freyja’s family in Sweden where he’ll have more space to run around.
