This would sound like gibberish to Tyrone and Bertie standing just outside of the stock room; normally Johannes Faustuz and Freyja would speak in English to each other, but to keep things more private, they switch to German (Freyja would speak in Swedish with Cedrick if she wants something kept secret from his father). - Freyja is an overachiever, always trying to get that extra stretch to get her work done quicker; she claims to have the strength of ten men, but that might be because she’s the only female in her immediate family (husband, son, father, and her four cousins - all men). Faustuz always worries about his wife constantly working and burning out (though the same can be said about himself because he’s also a workaholic); he also worries because Freyja had fallen once and got a concussion during a runway show. But with two Type A personalities running the family, it’s expected that they clash every once in a while. - Now... What’s in the boxes? —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #comic #originalcharacters #malecharacters #man #femalecharacter #woman #couple #boxes #frauv8_ocs

Character sheet of these two hubbies together in matching colors - red and grey. - Freyja thinks it’s cute that her husband has a “Work Spouse” who depends on him; Asia, on the other hand, is extremely jealous of her husband spending more time with Johannes Faustuz than he does with her. - As for the two guys, Tyrone loves being around Faustuz since he gets free food and advice about being a father and husband; Tyrone is also excited with common things they share - such as being born around a holiday (Tyrone was born on Thanksgiving Day; Faustuz was almost born on Christmas Eve), growing up poor and being raised by other relatives (Tyrone was raised by his grandmother; Faustuz was raised by his uncle and aunt), playing the same video games in their childhood (Super Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Pokémon), and being really tall (both are over 180cm / 6 ft. tall). Faustuz at times gets exhausted and annoyed with his coworker’s constant attention, but he considers Tyrone as a good friend and is willing to help him with whatever he needs. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #characters #originalcharacters #malecharacters #men #red #grey #charactersheet #characterdesign #characterstudy #frauv8_ocs

The Kaspers’ pets (not including the office aquarium fish, several test tubes of mutant fruit flies, a pink fairy, a pair of Wolpertingers, Hyōsube, and whatever creature that decides to stay with them indefinitely). Normally it’s Cedrick’s job to take care of the animals, but occasionally Papa Kasper steps up to wrangle up the pets - especially when it’s time to visit the Vet since Cedrick can’t drive yet, and Freyja is often away from home. - Each pet has a distinctive personality: •Freud the Dachshund is very snappy, often running off to dig up holes in the backyard; occasionally he wants cuddles and kisses, especially when he’s being punished for his behavior, and sticks around whenever someone is feeling sick or depressed. •Klimt the Norwegian Forest Cat isn’t a very smart cat - he’s was born the runt of the litter, always a bit slow and clumsy; he likes chirping like a bird and climbing up trees to the point either Cedrick or Faustuz has to climb up after him since he doesn’t know how to climb back down; Klimt also likes waking up his masters so he gets fed, swishing his fluffy tail in their faces while they eat breakfast before work. •Frl. Flicka the Doberman/Hellhound is the most energetic of the three, often wanting to play fetch with just about anything; she’s sensitive to loud popping sounds, making her aggressive and reenact her time as a war dog; after a long time of coaxing her with treats and gentle petting, she goes back into her lapdog mode and insists on sleeping with Mama and Papa for the night. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #pets #cat #dogs

Oh Instagram with your silly square format...✂️ - If Cedrick is “The Boy With Odd Eyes”, his father Johannes Faustuz is “The Oncologist With Heterochromia”. Heterochromia is the scientific way of saying odd-colored eyes, and both father and son have it; in some cases, it’s a dominant trait. For the Kaspers, only those who inherit blue eye genes from both parents will get it - almost always one eye being green and the other blue (few times there has been brown and blue eye combinations, like Hansel’s daughter Leisa). Heterochromia for the Kaspers also means they inherit an ability to see the strengths and weaknesses of mythical creatures as well as see hidden beings that could potentially become harmful (such as Ghosts and Yōkai). The ability also allows for Faustuz and Cedrick to have perfect eyesight at the cost of mental and physical energy (this explains their addiction to caffeine, constant snacking, need for power naps, and often being grouchy at the hospital). - I was debating whether I wanted to draw this pic like the last one, but there’s just something about the pencil brush texture that kept me from doing that. Now I’m going to figure my next two pics... It could be sketchy like this, or digitally inked like the others - depending on how the characters are going to be like. - Comment below what you think.🤗 —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #digitalsketch #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #colorstudy #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #blond #shirtandtie #longhair #japanese #german #yellow #mangastyle #animestyle #frauv8_ocs #frauv8

I’m a bit early to be posting this, but eh... I can always draw something else for Valentine’s Day.😛 It’s kinda a redraw from a pic from last year too - Johannes Faustuz is even wearing the same heart-shirt!❤️ (check 2nd slide) - Childhood sweethearts since they were 9-10, Freyja and Faustuz have always had people scratching their heads in confusion on why they’re so attached to each other: “What makes this disheveled Geek the Prince Charming to this Beauty’s eyes?” Both had tragic family deaths (her mother died; his parents and uncle died), both have a deep love of books (English literature is her favorite while his are Science and Historical Fiction), and both grew up in households familiar with mythical creatures and the occult despite being opposite sides of social class (she’s super rich while he grew up low middle-class). Add in the fact she’s a Cancer and he’s a Capricorn, and these two are very a stable couple - except for the occasional clash of stubborn alpha personalities (she’s more social and emotional while he’s very reserved and often blunt). They also worked hard to start their relationship by learning how to be able to communicate with each other (Freyja didn’t know German, nor Faustuz any Swedish or English when they first met). After years of learning and sharing their interests, it’s no wonder why these two bonded even though people look at them in disbelief; Freyja loves her husband because he values her as his best friend, not just some beautiful object. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #woman #heartshirt #hearts #valentines #valentines_day #valentinesday #valentinesday2020 #japanese #german #couple #inlove #pink #frauv8_ocs #frauv8

Hr. Dr. Kasper looks like a mad scientist here.😈⚗️🧪 I might of also gotten a bit carried away with the neon colors, but meh - it’s what it is, lol. As usual, I added animated effects using the app Pixaloop. I also included the line art for anyone who wants to color it themselves (tag @frauv8 #frauv8colorthisin so I can find your work easily). - Johannes Faustuz has jars of bizarre specimens he has inherited and collected over the years displayed in his work office (Who can spot the Meerjunfrau?🧜🏼‍♀️). He’s also an avid collector of miscellaneous books and periodicals in English, German, and Japanese (sometimes Danish, though he’s not fluent) since he likes reading in his spare time when he’s not diagnosing diseases, performing operations, or traveling abroad tracking down and capturing/killing rogue mythical creatures. Somewhere amongst his books is a copy of Freyja’s fashion magazine - can you find it? - Faustuz has his hair up this time, and is wearing a bright green collared shirt paired with a magenta tie. He’s a man who likes being punctual and efficient thus he often wears high-end watches to make sure he’s always on time (his watch here is based off a NOMOS). As for his expression, perhaps a creature in human disguise just walked in? Both Faustuz and his son Cedrick give off the same crazed look whenever they sense a potentially dangerous creature nearby and want to catch it for “further research” (which usually means killing it and performing a vivisection). It’s not called “Kasper’s Death Glare” for no reason. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #neoncolors #malecharacter #man #books #specimen #animestyle #mangastyle #green # purple #frauv8_ocs #frauv8

A quick pic of Johannes Faustuz and Freyja at age 10-11. It’s quite a bit early for Valentine’s Day, but it’s never off-season to show off some love. — Freyja and Faustuz have known each other for about thirty years, but like any couple, they have lots of rough times - whether it’s being separated because of work (he’s an oncologist, she’s involved with media), language barriers (Faustuz barely spoke English while Freyja only knew Swedish and English when they first met; Faustuz knew some Danish from his great-grandmother, which is similar to Swedish, but it was still difficult to understand each other for a long time without a German/English translation book; as adults they speak English but will switch to German to keep some conversations private), social class (she’s rich, he’s low-middle class), and their families not liking each other (the Ströms are very proud of their royal Viking heritage and making weapons; the Kaspers are shunned for their involvement with things like the Black Plague, witch-hunting, bodysnatching, and WW2). But with constant attention and compromises, Freyja and Faustuz have been happily married for over twenty years (they won’t reveal when exactly they got married; all that’s known is that they were young when they were married). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #pixaloop #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #lineart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #femalecharacter #girl #children #couple #inlove #frauv8_ocs

When the odd left eye glows, either Cedrick or his father Johannes Faustuz knows that there’s a powerful nonhuman creature around. One in disguise and in need of medical attention would be very afraid to see a Kasper ready to perform surgery on them because it might be their last chance to be alive - but only if the creature was known to cause any serious trouble amongst humans. — Aside from being doctors, our current Kaspers are known to be researchers and killers of rouge creatures. Most creatures fear them, regular people see them as eccentric, while fellow families involved in the same business of the mythical and occult view them as scum and low-class due to their ancestors’ involvement with dark moments of history (ie. Black Plague, witch-hunting, bodysnatching, WW2). - It’s not really my best work, and I couldn’t choose between no glasses or wearing glasses. Also, Cedrick is being creepy AF in this pic, so I might shove this in the Archives eventually. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #doctor #mangastyle #animestyle #pixaloop #frauv8_ocs

It’s officially ugly sweater season, and only a month away from Christmas. Both Kasper boys are wearing their sweaters from Mama this year. - Cedrick is wearing a bright red sweater with Krampus on it. In recent years, Krampus had appeared in pop culture (had anyone else seen the movie?), and the Kaspers are no strangers to mythical creatures. Also the word “NAUGHTY” is something a teenager would wear. And Krampus just seems like a fun take on the Santa lore (I recently found out Krampus is only one of many Santa’s helpers; he’s got Knecht Ruprecht, Zwarte Pete, etc.). - As for Papa Kasper, he’s got a green sweater with Jesus Christ. Christmas is really a combination of an ancient Roman celebration for the sun god and Germanic festivities, but leave it to the Catholics to make it all about Jesus - which led to the overly commercialized holiday that it is today. And big hint: “BIRTHDAY BOY” isn’t just for Jesus (yes, I made my OC born during the holidays just like me). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacters #man #boy #teenageboy #uglysweater #holidayseason #krampus #jesus #frauv8_ocs

The Kasper Family in the last 100 years. We’re most familiar with Johannes Faustuz, Freyja, and Cedrick; I’ve also shown Aunt Yoko, Uncle Heinrich, Hansel, and Hannah. Recently Olaf was introduced again with his identical twin brother Adolf and older brother Randolf (both died during WW2). Richard, Eva, and Leisa had been mentioned/shown briefly, Sigrid has only been shown in her fantasy version, while the others... Meh? - The Kaspers are a complicated family, looked upon as evil due to historical circumstances (WW1 & WW2 in recent times), but in most cases, they are quite boring just taking care of everything normally not of the world - like mythical creatures such as the Meerjungfrau, Hyōsube, Höllenhund, and in the past during WW2, Sleipnir. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #mangastyle #notes #family #familytree #frauv8

Keeping up with the creepy Halloween vibes. - Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper is more than happy to give you an assessment on how much time you have left to live. He’s very accurate, earning him the nickname “The White Reaper” at work (in the Fantasy Concept, he’s actually a Grim Reaper - or at least the son of Death which makes him a Grim Reaper). - It’s a style I enjoy drawing - black and white with a hint of color and halftone. And there’s little details in the pic that hint on what this character is all about: •The skull showing the family symbol as well as association with death (Faustuz is an Oncologist, thus diagnoses what kinds of cancer people have); the skull also can hint to his no-nonsense, hardheadedness behavior. •An image of plant leaves showing a nurturing side (he’s a husband and father), and an appreciation of nature in general. •His certificate isn’t accurate in design, but shows where he studied based of the logo and location written on top (both Faustuz and his son Cedrick studied at the same university at Kiel). - This pic is a bit reminiscent of an older one drawn way back in May 2018 (last slide). Definitely an improvement in quality despite using the same app to make both. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #animestyle #originalcharacter #characterart #characterdesign #halftone #lineart #blackandwhite #malecharacter #doctor #office #frauv8_ocs #frauv8
