Like his mother Sigrid, Faustuz never really liked his father’s coat - it’s ridiculously heavy, fluffy, and oversized (Sigrid did admit that she loved how warm it was whenever Richard held her during walks in the winter).
It’s one of the many things he inherited from his father - aside from daily journals, tape recordings, photos, vinyl albums, t-shirts, watches, and his 1981 red Volkswagen Beetle.
But in rare occasions, he will wear the coat to “put it to use”; Richard wore it to show off whenever he could, while his son wears it to cover up the elaborate stuff Freyja makes him wear in formal events.

Like many kids, Cedrick only appears when there’s food around.
And like many kids, he doesn’t always listen to his father for his own reasons - Cedrick is very impressionable, especially in regards with his grandfather Erik (there’s times even Hr. Dr. Kasper calls his son a mini-version of Freyja’s father depending on situations).
Cedrick is also not very attached to his grand-aunt Yoko’s Japanese culture, so instead he’s wearing a black Kimono-inspired shirt on top (with a skull on the back as a Kasper usually has on somewhere).

Cedrick also brought up the term “Wakashū” - often a teen boy in the Edo Era who was dressed as a female until he’s grown up into a man (basically a “pupae stage” or “middle gender”); this concept fell out of fashion and turned into the idea of “Bishonen” (or “Pretty-Boy”) to reflect a boy’s youth and good-looks.

Kimiko, like most of her fellow coworkers, also assumed her mentor was a single father whose wife died from some tragic event (some say cancer, others say an accident; none of it is true).
Now finally meeting her, Kimiko is in awe and curious about Freyja’s relationship with Faustuz.

Heinrich met Yoko in Hiroshima, Japan in the early 1970s during a business trip.
Yoko was the only daughter and assistant of Heinrich’s client who was in need of a “Yōkai hunter” (Kaspers are known for reaping souls and killing monsters).
Heinrich fell in love with her at first sight, always giving her a small box of chocolate every time he visited her family’s shrine; Yoko initially kept her distance, but she liked Heinrich for his calm nature and quiet rustic voice.
Within a few months, they were married, moved back to Kiel, and had their two children Hansel and Hannah soon after.
