Something about a random bone color scheme just made me want to draw a heute couture academia outfit… Maybe because it’s the fact it’s October and skeletons are abundant, or that Bone White is a good transitional color for fashion between Fall and Winter? Or it’s because Cedrick is a Junior Grim Reaper and White is another color closely associated with death and the ghastly? Tenth OC for my wardrobe prompt: Tricia / Summer Patricia “Tricia” Williams is Tyrone’s older sister’s daughter whom he took in when she was 16 (his sister died from a drug overdose). Initially she was difficult with her uncle and his family, but after awhile she grew close with her aunt Asia - leading her to getting a job alongside her aunt at the family’s salon. Tricia loves sports, especially playing Volleyball; being a top player in High School lead to getting a sports scholarship for university. But Tricia isn’t very keen on studying and keeping up with her grades, putting her in a predicament: she needs to get her GPA up or else she looses her scholarship (she already taken Biology 101 twice, failed Algebra three times, and barely passed English). Being in Biology 101 multiple times has caught the attention of her professor Vinnie DeValeur, both out of academic concern and attraction; but since he’s not always present at the university, his substitute Hr. Dr. Kasper has been notified about her situation - and he also happens to be a coworker of her uncle Tyrone. As a remedy, Hr. Dr. Kasper has assigned her tutoring sessions with his son Cedrick over her constant trips to the mall with her BFF Carmen Rodriguez (the younger sister of Officer Granger). Ninth OC for my wardrobe prompt: Erik / Winter Erik Ström is Freyja’s gruff, frugal, stubborn, no-nonsense father who’s viewed as tough and intimidating on the surface, but gentle and affectionate amongst those closest to his heart. The Ströms descend from Viking royalty and occult weapons makers who fell out of favor when they refused to convert to Christianity in the 900s; only starting in the 1960s the Ström family slowly regained their wealth and reputation within the occult community - thus making Erik in charge of STRÖM CORPORATIONS & INDUSTRIES as the oldest of three sons. Erik makes occult weapons alongside his daughter and four nephews (Ragnar, Werner, Einar, and Gunnar) at the family estate based in Stockholm. Though he’s very doting towards his only child Freyja and grandson Cedrick, Erik is still disappointed with her choosing Hr. Dr. Kasper as her partner; Erik (like most other prestigious families within the occult community) dislikes the Kaspers mainly because of their murky past being involved with notorious events in history (and that his wife Sonja was shook from her broken betrothal to Heinrich Kasper - it took two years before she finally accepted his marriage proposal; Sonja was also a patient of Richard Kasper’s who was trying to cure her of a troll’s petrification curse). Whenever he’s visiting Kiel or Los Angeles, he and Johannes would be seen throwing punches and insults at each other until Freyja steps in with a glare and battle ax (Cedrick actually enjoys watching them fight, eager to learn his father’s and grandfather’s signature moves). Eighth OC for my wardrobe prompt: Hannah / Spring Hannah (or Hana, pronounced the same way for the Japanese version of her name) Kasper is Hansel’s younger sister and the middle child of the Kasper sibling trio. She currently takes after her father Heinrich’s stern mannerisms and mother Yoko’s reserved attitude, but as a youth she was quite the rebellious girl staying past curfew and partying out with the “wrong crowd”. It wasn’t until after a brush with Death Himself (realizing it was her beloved uncle Richard from her childhood) Hannah went sober and pursued a kindled passion for cooking; she has managed to be top chef of her own Asian cuisine restaurant. She’s not too keen being involved with the family business within the occult and mythical, but in rare circumstances she will participate with her brother and cousin in dealing with rogue monsters (she actually has a Kobald [a German house elf or sprite, similar to the Scandinavian Tomte] working in her kitchen who once was a prankster leaving messes around the Kasper’s’ home in Kiel). Hannah initially had a cold relationship with Hr. Hansel is know to be confident, brazen, and often reckless; but because he wears his heart on his sleeve, Hansel is hard not to like and will do whatever it takes to please those he deems worthy. Like many Kaspers before him, he’s a very dedicated man to his family despite having a checkered past (he’s been married three times with two daughters Eva and Leisa; both daughters want nothing to do with him but still feel the need to assist their extended family in regards to the mythical and occult). In his younger years, Hansel has been quite the popular guy in school getting attention from everyone with his suave looks and smooth talking; nowadays he’s overlooked as cocky and viewed as beneath his younger cousin Johannes - mainly because Johannes is a doctor while Hansel is a nurse, and he didn’t inherit the Kasper’s infamous “Odin’s Eye” like Johannes (thus not being the family’s heir despite being the oldest son). As a Kasper man, it’s expected for Hansel to contribute to the family business of collecting souls as a Grim Reaper; being part Korean, he takes up the role dressed up as a Joseung Saja. She’s of creole and Caribbean ancestry (Haitian and Puerto Rican), loves cooking vegan versions of soul food, is a doting mother to Queenie, aspires to be a jewelry designer, and is a big fan of Freyja’s TV show “FLASH FASHION”. While she loves her husband very much, Asia can get upset and jealous whenever he spends time out late at the bar after work with his coworker Hr. If 2006, that means he’s a teenager right now; if 2017, then he’ll be a teenager in the 2030s (the original concept setting). In either scenario, both of his parents remain as Millennials (originally I planned Johannes to be 45 and Freyja 39 in the 2030s; my OCs don’t have official ages but age ranges to keep up with the times). Also, it’s kinda been continuous thing that nobody knows exactly how old Richard was when he was human (except for himself and his immediate family). Sigrid figured he was much older than her (at least eight years older to twice her age, 23-35 years old), but was shocked that his true age as Death was actually 10,000X more than she thought. He works as a Pediatrician at the same hospital in Los Angeles with the Kaspers, Kimiko, and Fatima (I’ve drawn her a few times many years ago, but I should draw her again sometime soon). His niece Tricia attends at the university where Hr. Dr. Kasper occasionally substitutes for Prof. Vinnie DeValeur (who happens to be Tricia’s Biology professor and the hospital director’s son). Tyrone also has a toddler daughter Queenie who often visits the hospital whenever his wife Asia can’t get anyone to watch over her while she working at the family salon (Queenie’s real name is Quinella because she was born on May 5th at 5:55 AM). Third OC for my wardrobe prompt: Kimiko / Raincoat Kimiko Abe is Hr. Dr. Kasper’s nurse at the hospital he works at in Los Angeles (his cousin Hansel is his nurse at his hometown Kiel). Kimiko is from Yokohama, and the oldest of four girls; she’s very sweet, polite, and kind - but on the flip side she’s very klutzy and follows her doctor everywhere at the hospital to avoid getting lost (if he’s too busy, she’ll follow Cedrick, Fatima, or Tyrone instead). She initially wasn’t thrilled about being paired up with Johannes when she first arrived (she actually expected someone Asian like herself), but was surprised and relieved to know her doctor is fluent with Japanese and can help her with paperwork and phrasing (Kimiko still struggles a lot with English; Hr. Dr. Kasper’s second language after German is actually Japanese [his aunt Yoko is half Japanese, half Korean], followed by Danish, English, some Korean, and bits of French and Spanish). Kimiko over time has developed great respect for Johannes, calling him the triple honorific “Herr Doktor-San”; as for Cedrick, she despises him whenever he takes attention away from her doctor and outdoes her in daily tasks such as drawing blood and giving shots (she’s also jealous that he’s a Wunderkind and graduated school earlier than she did). Welp, I wasn’t quite satisfied with the last one I did for Sigrid, and I ended up going all out on this one lol… My drawing hand really hurts, my eyes are dry, and it’s currently the morning (I stayed up all night 💀). Have to admit it was fun researching 1980s wedding gowns for this pic. In a way, this is a redraw of an old pic of Sigrid and Richard getting married; Sigrid’s dress now is definitely 1980s compared to her old one (it’s still 1980s but very simple compared to what most people think of 1980s wedding gowns like Princess Diana’s and Ariel’s).
