Back to the 1980s with Sigrid and Richard. - Sigrid is wearing a basic pink t-shirt and blue plaid skirt with acrylic/resin jewelry; Richard is wearing a 1980s Armani suit instead of his usual 1970s clothing (white logo t-shirt and blue denim bell bottoms). — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #1980sfashion #green #pink #blue #white #brown #yellow

A quick short of Bertie and Hr. Dr. Kasper. - Bernadette “Bertie” Santamaria-Santos is Freyja’s quirky assistant who also happens to be an Aswang; she’s not a very strong one (she’s at the lowest tier of the Aswang hierarchy), and actually prefers the blood of cows and pigs over humans. Bertie is over 120 years old, and unlike traditional vampires, she enjoys spending time outside during the daytime (she hates computer and phone screens due to blue light). As a Reaper, Faustuz is ready to attack at any moment if she goes rogue, making it awkward whenever Bertie is around for business. He’s also called “Mr. Ström” by Bertie because she sees him in possession of Freya, a lower status beneath his wife. It’s not certain if she knows Death/Richard or that Faustuz is his son, but she can sense there’s something odd about him as “not a normal human“ with “an evil eye” (monsters are frightened by the Kasper’s inherited trait “Odin’s Eye” due to its ability to see their weaknesses). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #comic #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter

Kaspers usually don’t like cats because they often chase away spirits, small mythical creatures, and souls that need capturing (why they normally have dogs), but cats are drawn to them and show them affection despite their antics. Hr. Dr. Kasper grew up around Hedy and her kittens, and his wife Freyja’s family are known to own Norwegian Forest Cats, so he has a higher tolerance for cats compared to most Reapers; Klimt was his son Cedrick’s birthday gift, but for whatever reason, chose Faustuz as his main human and constantly begs for attention from him. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacter #man #cat #pink #table #chair #sitting

Another #sketchdump of Richard and Sigrid. • Richard often helps Sigrid with her schoolwork; occasionally when he’s out shopping for work supplies and books, he might find a couple notebooks/journals/diaries his girlfriend would like using since they’re plain and have blank pages for her to doodle notes. • Aina loved seeing her daughter Sigrid and Richard finally becoming a couple; they stayed together despite the academy’s strict rules about dating, Richard’s true identity as Death and background as a foreigner, and the large age gap. It was when the timer from Sigrid’s curse went off Richard was forced to separate from her, tearing out her soul only days after she gave birth to their son. • Since the arcade owner is a close friend of her mother’s, Sigrid is allowed to take home some of his apples. She’s tall for a teenage girl, but not quite tall enough to reach the top branches of his tree; both she and the arcade owner are appreciative whenever Richard is around to pick the apples hardest to reach (Batty, on the other hand, gets upset seeing a stranger helping his father when he has time to help himself). • Richard often gets playful when showing his affections for Sigrid; she’ll get embarrassed if it’s too much affection, but gets upset if he’s not around for long periods of time - if he’s gone for too long, Sigrid would start crying and worry that he had been injured during his travels or had reverted back to his true form as Death Himself. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #comic

Happy New Year 2022! 🎆 I’m still awake, but I need to sleep soon because I still have work for the next couple of days. 😵‍💫 So here’s my first pic of the year - a quick drawing of Sigrid in a peak 1980s formal dress while Richard is a little behind with his fashion from the 1970s. Sigrid often hid amongst plants during Richard’s visits to her mother Aina’s flower shop. At first she was cautious with him based on his horrible reputation and checkered past, and not happy with her mother constantly trying to push her to instantly liking Richard (Sigrid’s aloof and shy, preferring to take her time to get adjusted with new places and people). But as she got accustomed to his weekly visits and started talking with him about their shared interests in arcade games and movies, the two became close as if they were siblings - which quickly grew into love. — #mentalcanvasdraw #mentalcanvas #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipaddrawings #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #plants #leaves #flowers

Finally finished after staying up super late last night into the morning light, and dabbling on it some more in the afternoon and evening. 😮‍💨 It’s a different type of art style I felt like trying out, and I dabbled with #mentalcanvas to move around the image layers. - Initially Sigrid was cautious of Richard with his reputation as a cruel Reaper, the youngest son from an ostracized family, and promiscuous heartbreaking playboy. Sigrid would often hide amongst the plants in the storage room in her mother’s flower shop or in the greenhouse and quietly observe Richard whenever he’s visiting taking care of assigned chores, killing Tatzelwurms and other pests, or picking up ingredients for experimental medicine (his day job is an epidemiologist attempting to treat illnesses caused by curses; his real job is collecting marked souls as Death Himself). But as she got to know him more and was used to his weekly visits, Sigrid would start watching Richard with admiration and curiosity like that of a younger sister that grew into romantic love - often getting embarrassed and flustered whenever she’s been caught doing so (especially by her mother Aina, who’d constantly tease her until she fesses up her feelings; Richard would pat her head and laugh before giving her a kiss on the forehead, making her blush even more). — @mental_canvas #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipaddrawings #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #mentalcanvasdraw #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #garden #plants #leaves #flowers #flowerpots #green #black #brown #yellow #blue #red #white #orange #grey #gray
