But Heterochromia is pretty if you get to see it. (SIDE NOTE: I love odd-eyes, especially cats with them. Supposedly they’re considered good luck because they’re rare - and I’ve actually seen two in person. In Turkish lore, the amber eye represents Earth while the blue is for Heaven. I’d love to own my own odd-eye kitty if I can; naming it Kasper would be fitting, but Yuki, Yuri, Sushi, or Mochi are cute cat names too) - •CHARACTER BACKGROUND: Heterochromia runs strong in the Kasper Family, especially for males who inherit blue eye genes - and it’s even more likely if he’s blond. Amongst families involved with mythical creatures and the occult, it’s called “Odin’s Eye” because it allows a Kasper to see a variety of information such as monster’s vitals, wandering spirits, and how long a person has left to live. According to family lore, a Danish Viking boy named Ulrik Kasper drank water from Mimir’s Well - the mythical location where Odin threw his eye in during his quest for infinite knowledge. After suffering excruciating pain and temporary blindness in his right eye after drinking the water, Ulrik was able to see many unseen creatures and knowledge. Ever since, only direct male descendants of Ulrik Kasper who are blue-eyed and blond inherit “Odin’s Eye”. — It’s another blinking animation since it’s the easiest one to make. But it’s still a bit of work to draw and time just right so it looks more natural (I still yet have to animate the perfect blink). This color scheme is also a favorite of mine (I love bright colors paired with black, if it’s not straight black and white). —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #animation #malecharacter #teenboy #bowlcut #heterochromia #oddeyes #green #yellow #black #pink #frauv8_ocs

Rewinding back to July 1981 with Sigrid and Richard. No matter how much he turns on the charm, there’s no way in Hell she’s sharing her ice cream when baby cravings hit. - Both Richard and Sigrid wear aviators/glasses, which their son Johannes Faustuz also does. Sigrid is also wearing a green polka dot dress similar to what Princess Diana wore in the 1980s. Richard is wearing a T-shirt with a sailboat and “KIEL” on it, a nod to where the Kaspers come from and where usually in the end of June/early July a large gathering of boats occurs.⛵️ *** Once again, I’m hunkered down. Work has been canceled until the 24th due to a number of people who tested positive for COVID-19. As far as I know, I haven’t been exposed to anyone sick, but with those who tested positive at work being asymptomatic really makes me nervous. And of course I won’t qualify for a test because I don’t have the classic COVID-19 symptoms or had contact with any with symptoms (my allergies, on the other hand, have been driving me crazy). Regardless, it’ll be a two week quarantine period for everyone’s safety. —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #couple #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #woman #icecream #pregnant #glasses #animestyle #frauv8_ocs

Quick pic: Cedrick wearing a mask and combed-back hair. Not exactly what I wanted, so I might redraw this. My original plan was black and white with a lot more floral and skeletal details, but ended up with bold lines and CYMKW (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, Black, White). The bold color scheme reminds me of the early 90s (which is coming back in fashion with a vengeance, making me cringe because it’s literally my earliest childhood memories). ——— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #animestyle #malecharacter #boy #teenboy #blue #pink #yellow #white #black #cmyk #frauv8_ocs

Whenever he gets furloughed from the hospital or when his colleague Prof. Vincent-Claude DeValeur goes out on archeological expeditions, Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper becomes a substitute instructor. He’s more than happy to share his encyclopedic knowledge with students, but often times he’s constantly trying to keep their attention on the chalkboard and off their phone screens. And occasionally there’ll be a student being a smart-ass just to piss him off (this is actually how he met first Dr. Tyrone Williams). -🚨‼️RANT ALERT‼️🚨- Right now there’s the big debate on opening schools up again in America despite the huge spike of COVID-19. Personally I think schools should stay closed until infections go down; if push comes to shove, a hybrid of limited and staggered in-class hours and mostly online sessions might be best. But 5 days a week all in-class? That’s asking for another spike since it’s mostly young people that spread coronavirus with minimal if no symptoms at all. I’m just absolutely infuriated and outraged with all the lost progress from the three months of lockdown. If people were more patient, kept their distance, wear their masks, learn from the 1918 flu pandemic, listened to the science, and if we had decisive leadership, we wouldn’t be in such a mess. We need to flatten the curve, not turn it into Mt. Everest and lead the world in infections and death. If this is still the first wave, Fall and Winter will be even worse. The worst thing I’m seeing is that people are becoming more complacent with the numbers of infections and deaths; how many more deaths is too many? 200K? 500K? A million? The 1918 pandemic lasted about three years; if we don’t anything and if there’s no vaccine developed in a year, how long do we want this pandemic to exist? (I’m sorry for the rant, but seriously - I’m very angry at my country when others have lowered their infections to manageable numbers) —— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #animestyle #malecharacter #man #teacher #professor #chalkboard #blue #pink #white #frauv8_ocs

I’m really in a black, white, and grey/gray mood with my pics lately. Maybe because the world to me right now is just so bland and dark. But that doesn’t explain why these two guys are smiling. Perhaps there’s still a little glimmer of hope in my outlook of life in an age of pandemic and oppression. - I included the original in colored versions in the post. And I just can’t unsee Johannes Faustuz resembling the character Charlotte from “DARK” with his hair down. 😟 (“DARK” is amazing! I first watched it in German with subtitles two years ago, but when Netflix released the dub, it drove me crazy seeing the lip sync off; even watching the original, I could understand quite a bit without subtitles [it’s the same with anime - when you’re exposed to enough of a language, you recognize a lot more than you think; I’m that way with Spanish, French, German, and Japanese, and I often do get messed up in the head when I’m trying to come up with the right words]). ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #grey #gray #blackandwhite #malecharacter #men #fashion #sweater #glasses #manbun #stripes #frauv8_ocs

Kind of a redraw of an old pic. - Both father and son are doctors, so coworkers seeing the two Kaspers napping together in their little office/dorm gives them the fuzzies. Hr. Dr. Kasper calls his teenage son Cedrick an oversized baby who needs attention since he can a bit clingy and lazy (his colleague Prof. DeValeur calls Cedrick a “Duckling” because he’s always following after his father). - Both are wearing scrubs and glasses with more exaggerated sleeping poses, drooling and snoring compared to the first version drawn almost three years ago (2nd Slide). The original was also drawn with a Wacom tablet with Photoshop versus the new one drawn on an iPad Pro with #autodesksketchbook. They’re also drawn in different styles (new one has a cuter, anime style while the older is more realistic), but feel free to comment which one you like more. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #blackandwhite #malecharacter #man #teenboy #fatherandson #sleeping #couch #frauv8_ocs

Looks like Freyja caught her husband wearing only sweatpants around the house again. Hopefully no one else besides family sees him like this or else it’d be really awkward (it’s bound to happen sometime). It’s been really hot lately - can’t blame him for wanting to dress down to the minimum with basics. Freyja doesn’t believe in wearing comfy casual basic clothes during the day, especially when there’s work to be done; she thinks it makes a person sloppy when they don’t dress up for the occasion. ——— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #blond #femalecharacter #woman #redhair #couple #animestyle #purple #frauv8_ocs

#happy4thofjuly. Here’s some #fireworks. - I’m really low key about being American with the $h!tstorm going on for years, especially this year. I absolutely hate who’s in charge because he’s incompetent, has no morals, or compassion (seriously - his message is basically now “learn to live with Coronavirus”; that’s the equivalent of saying to a person just accept living life with their abusive SO 😡). My faith in people is shot after seeing all those months of hard work of repressing the virus practically disappear in a few weeks. I’m utterly disgusted with people who can’t accept the science and disregard others people’s right to live. Yet despite all the crap, there’s still a sliver of hope that maybe people will finally listen when the cost of life goes beyond ignoring. That’s one good thing about being an American - always looking forward towards a brighter future. That’s something we all can agree on. ———— #digitaldrawing #digitalart #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #autodesksketchbook #pixaloop #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #femalecharacter #woman #afrobun #tanktop #animestyle #redwhiteandblue #4thofjuly #frauv8_ocs

And who says I only draw nerdy White boys? (I had classmates in the past accuse me of only drawing White people but then turn around and complain about how I draw other people). - Tricia Williams is one most fun OCs to draw because of all the hairstyles she can do. But I don’t draw her and the other Williamses often for reasons - the biggest one is being afraid that the way I draw/color the Williamses might end up looking like caricatures (and I’m White/Asian, which adds another reason to be nervous because I can be called racist if someone doesn’t like how I draw these characters). I’m trying my best to have diversity in my art, but at the same time, I know I can’t always satisfy the demand to be inclusive. ——— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #blackandwhite #femalecharacter #girl #black #bobatea #afrobun #frauv8_ocs

Still in quarantine wearing house shoes and casual clothes bordering pajamas as Hr. Dr. Kasper enters his study. Freyja doesn’t approve of wearing sweatpants during virtual work sessions, grocery shopping trips, rogue monster hunts, or collecting Death’s quota of souls - proving the saying that the wife chooses the pants for the man of the house is true for this family. - I had a lot of fun playing around with textures with this one. Originally I thought about adding in one of the Kaspers’ dogs, but I’m lazy and it would of covered up most of the detail in the mini book shelving unit. I also thought of adding on glasses, but with a pic of this size, I prefer them off to see his face clearly (last slide has Papa Kasper with glasses on). — I have work Thursday thru Sunday this week, then it’s going back down to Del Mar for the summer work season (as far as planned). If the pandemic gets even worse, I won’t be surprised if everything stops and shuts down again in California - and maybe no work.😑 - I have so~ much rage towards my fellow humans right now, especially with those who can’t set aside their national pride and politics aside to wear something that could save lives.
