An outside look at Aina’s house/flower shop in Copenhagen, Denmark. This home has been the place where Hr. Dr. Kasper’s parents first met and where he spent his Summer vacations every year since he started school. My TikTok version just happens to have the perfect song for it (it’s only missing a cat; Odin was supposed to be in Aina’s bike basket - but we can pretend he’s hiding somewhere in the flowers, lol). — @mental_canvas #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #sketchbookapp #mentalcanvas #mentalcanvasdraw #originalcharacters #originalart #frauv8_ocs #frauv8 #house #housedrawing #layerbylayer #stepbystep #yellow #orange #red #green #blue #purple #white

Cedrick is quite a bit of a K-Pop Stan, alongside Tricia and her BFF Carmen (Kiya hasn’t been exposed to it much, but signs show that she’s not interested). Cedrick holds in his hand SEVENTEEN’s light stick which is considered to be one of K-Pop’s most beautiful ones (it’s really shiny and has a gem-like light in the center). So does Cedrick have a favorite band? If he’s anything like me, he loves STRAY KIDS with a dash of BTS, MONSTA X, TWICE, NCT DREAM, BLACKPINK, GOT7, BIGBANG, ITZY… there’s just so much and K-Pop is just amazing to listen to! — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #animestyle #originalcharacter #malecharacter #boy #kpop #kpopstan #kpopfan #retroanimeaesthetic #seventeenlightstick #sketchbookapp #motionleap #procreate #pink #blue #white #yellow

„Es regnet (und neblig) heute in Kiel“. • Translation: “It’s rainy (and foggy) in Kiel today”. (All those Duolingo lessons are starting to pay off…) In reality it’s probably sunny and hot today at Kiel because it’s Summer (IDK - we’ll have to look at a weather app to confirm because obviously I don’t live there, lol). My OC Hr. Dr. Kasper and his family are normally based in Kiel, a German coastal city near Denmark where it’s expected to get foggy and a little rainy from time to time (their second home is Los Angeles where there’s more work opportunities in regards to their “day jobs” as Doctors). I’m still alive… I’m still awake… Work has also been busy (they really missed me, lol). And I’m barely surviving mentally with Creative Burnout, Artist’s Block, and keeping up with my Duolingo lessons (I’m surprised how much French I still remember from High School and College, and I’m actually starting to appreciate German despite being a frustrating language). Here’s something I finally finished that has been sitting in the Scrap Pile since June (not everything I doodle gets finished - sometimes it takes months to get back to or it’s never). Richard could’ve been a bit more refined, but my brain is at its limit - I’m still struggling with my attention span since having COVID-19 (it’s been harder to stay focused ever since; I’ve been recently buying fidget devices and trying to read books on my iPad, and it seems to be slowly helping me regain my brain’s stamina). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadsketch #sketchbookapp #pixaloop #originalcharacter #originalart #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #man #blond #souls #green #blue #brown #yellow #white #pink #glow #sparkle #animestyle

For those who haven’t been up to date with my Instastories and wondering why I haven’t posted anything in a week, it’s because I got COVID-19. 🤒 I’m really in a dark mood with my condition one day feeling fine and the next (like today) feeling like I’m not getting better. I’m definitely over the sore throat, but the nasal congestion, coughing, and low grade fever just keeps pounding me in waves to retreat back to the couch and wallow in misery. 🛋 COVID is no joke - do whatever you can to avoid the worst of it. 🦠 So ja… Idk how much longer before I’m well enough to get a negative test… Plus side is that I can log in and do some stuff remotely, but I’ll have to limit how much I do online knowing most likely I won’t be paid until I’m actually back onsite. I rarely get sick and hardly get time off (I work weekends and every holiday except Xmas, and even peak 2020 pandemic I’ve been working while many stayed home), so in a macabre way this is finally a vacation for me - just not a planned nor ideal one. 💀 — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #sketchbookapp #motionleap #originalcharacter #originalart #malecharacter #man #frauv8_ocs #roomdecor #window #blue #black #white #red #green #yellow #grey #gray

Another #sketchdump with notes focused on Sigrid: • ”As the daughter of Denmark’s strongest Warlock Samuel Jörgensen, Sigrid inherited his magical potential despite being a Wicca. Once her abilities are unlocked, Sigrid becomes the academy’s top student to the ire of purebred Enchantresses.” • ”The all-girls academy Sigrid attends keeps modern textbooks out of their library to ‘maintain the purity’ of their students involved with the Occult and Mythical.” > Sigrid often visits the university where Richard works just to read modern textbooks (specifically illustrated textbooks). • ”As Wicca, Sigrid and her mother (Aina) are highly skilled in making potions - more so compared to Enchantresses due to their knowledge of plants.” > Sigrid needs an activation potion to unlock her inner magical potential. (her look has a Sailor Jupiter vibe with her hair up and wearing green) • ”Despite the academy’s prohibition of dating, Sigrid and Richard developed a romance over time, eventually getting married and having a son together.” — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #femalecharacter #girl #notes #malecharacter #man #student #wicca #academia #books #potions #blue #green #red #yellow #black #white #comic #animestyle #sketchbookapp

The average color scheme vote ended up with this pic. 🫠🗳 2nd slide explains my thoughts when I saw the results. It’s a nice simple color scheme overall for a simple pic. — #frauv8_ocs #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #roses #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #sketchbookapp #colorpalette #colorscheme #pink #green #grey #gray #yellow #magenta #mauve #white #brown #lightacademia #1980sfashion #graysuit #greysuit #plaidskirt #potionbottle

Hmm… IDK… Light Academia might be too cutesy for the Kaspers… It’s looking more for the Ström side of the family, though they’d probably be more Cottagecore (which does has a similar color scheme and vibe to Light Academia). It seems to really suit Sigrid with her love for pink and affinity with plants (especially herbs and flowers), and maybe Hr. Dr. Kasper being a substitute Biology professor. But overall the Kaspers do fit the Academia aesthetic regardless of the color with their occupations (Cedrick is a Wunderkind, Johannes Faustuz and Richard are doctors, and Sigrid is an academy student). — #lightacademia #fashion #clothing #academia #academiaaesthetic #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookapp #boy #man #girl #books #grey #gray #blue #red #brown #green #yellow #beige #white #purple #mauve #orange

Being involved in the Occult and Mythical with day jobs in Medicine and Education screams Dark Academia, so it made sense to draw these 4 Kaspers wearing this popular trend (there’s Light Academia as well using lighter brighter Summer colors, another look I’m considering drawing for these OCs as well). Cedrick and his father Hr. Dr. Kasper have a more modern take on the look, while his grandparents Sigrid and Richard looks are rooted in the 1980s when there’s a number of movies reflecting the preppy theme (“Dead Poets Society” is a good one) - and not to also mention fashion from Armani, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger were peaking as well. — #darkacademia #fashion #clothing #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookapp #boy #man #girl #books #grey #gray #blue #red #brown #green #black #white #purple

It’s been awhile since I’ve made one of these… It’s Cedrick dressed up in a Dark Academia aesthetic (which suits the Kasper Family overall since they’re involved with the Occult and mythical universe), and it’s a bit reminiscent of a pic I made last year featuring his dad Hr. Dr. Kasper and Tricia Williams. And what’s a boy without his trusty doggu? (Frl. Flicka is the Kasper’s’ pet Hellhound/Doberman) And as Junior Grim Reaper and a direct descendant of Death, souls would naturally be drawn to him. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalart #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #mentalcanvas #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #boy #man #woman #frauv8_ocs #souls #dog #doberman #dobermanpinscher #books #library #skull #black #white #pink #blue #green #yellow #red #brown #purple

Kasper Grim Reapers: Hansel (Hanzo), Johannes Faustuz, Richard, and Cedrick. 💀 Hansel is half Asian (Tante Yoko is Japanese with some Korean ancestry), and only takes up the role as a Grim Reaper when his younger cousin Faustuz is away busy abroad from Kiel. Richard is the actual Grim Reaper (Der Sensenmann): Death Himself. He gets a human incarnation whenever Fate feels like giving him a reward (usually once every 500-1,000 years), but can only live as a human for a short amount of time (as short as 15, no longer than 40 years). He can only be summoned by one of his living descendants if needed and can have a temporary human body for up to two weeks before turning back to his skeletal form. Faustuz is Death’s son and current heir of the Kasper bloodline with “Odin’s Eye”, an ability that allows him to see a monster’s weaknesses. His son Cedrick also has “Odin’s Eye”, and is his Junior Reaper accompanying him whenever there’s a rogue monster or wandering souls floating around. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #characterdesign #charactersheet #originalcharacters #malecharacter #frauv8_ocs #man #boy #grimreaper #jeoseungsaja #red #white #black #grey #gray #green #blue #purple #yellow

It’s officially Summer, but it’s already been super hot! 🥵 It also means I’ll be more busy with work over artwork… I’ve made this one a while back, featuring Richard and Sigrid wearing 1980s summer attire. There’s a few other pics I haven’t posted yet, and I’ve been working on a story featured on my IG Story feed at the meantime (highlight titled “Gwisin”; the new OC featured is a Gwisin named Kim, and the story is loosely based off the script titled “Substitute Professor”). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #typography #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #couple #malecharacter #femalecharacter #orange #blue #pink #red #yellow #1980sfashion #1980s #frauv8_ocs
