Quick drawing featuring Freyja Ström-Kasper in her fantasy Viking princess form.
You don’t want to mess with this mama and her family in this alternative universe.
-
Included are pics of her in her fantasy version over the years, going back to 2017.
As for her hubby and their kiddo… I might draw their fantasy versions another time when I’m not feeling so bleh.

Something drawn earlier this month but been sitting in a digital folder for a while because meh…
I also included closeups of the plaid - it’s no secret that I love drawing patterns on clothes, lol.
I’ve just not been excited drawing lately - I feel like an uninspired slob…
But I’ve been on Duolingo lately to feel productive with my spare time, and I have quite a bit to rant about with some of the things I’ve learned (seriously - “der Mann” [Man] is masculine, “der Junge” [Boy] is also masculine; “die Frau” [Woman] is feminine, so you’d think the German word for “Girl” would also be feminine. NO! It’s “das Mädchen” which is neutral! WTF! And funny I bring that up because this pic literally has a girl in it, lol)

#sketchdump again with Richard and Sigrid in the 1980s.
About each drawing📝:
•Aina often asks Richard to check up on her daughter Sigrid since she’s been bullied by schoolmate since childhood.
One time Aina requested that he pick Sigrid up immediately after school, and Richard trying to clarify asked “Do you mean by car or sweeping Siri off her feet?”; without an answer as it was time to go, he just went with the latter and carried poor Sigrid home from school (like a genie or android, Richard can be a bit too literal at times if given instructions aren’t specific, lol).
•To keep things simple, Richard says that he’s 30 or 35; but as his true self as Death, he’s really ancient at 300,000-350,000 years old (which is approximately the same time Homo sapiens emerged).
It’s also a common trope to depict Death as an old man with a young girl to show the concept that no matter how pretty and lively someone is, Death’s always ready to snatch them away at any moment (think Hades and Persephone).
And then there’s movies from the 1980s where the main girl is about 16 years old with a man pushing 30 or so (“DIRTY DANCING” comes to mind), so the 8+ years age gap between Richard and Sigrid isn’t surprising considering these factors.
•Lots of times Richard can’t help himself but smother his girlfriend with a big hug and call her cute, especially while she’s studying; Sigrid normally doesn’t like attention and tries to tone down the affection (especially when other people are around), but she’ll get upset if Richard is gone for long periods of time.

Quick drawing -
OCs Freyja and her husband Johannes Faustuz wearing matching cornflower blue outfits.💙
(One of my favorite colors)
It’s a bit reminiscent of an old pic of the same two characters from 2018 also wearing matching outfits (last slide).

I don’t want to draw any books for a while…💀
I still love them though.
I have the closeup, original, comic book textured, and uncolored versions posted here.
-
OCs Hr. Dr. Kasper and Tricia Williams doing some research together at the library.
Who knows what they’re talking about…
Maybe he’s telling her about Wikipedia barely being a thing when he was a freshman so he still had to rely on physical encyclopedias and archive cards for information, revealing that he’s actually a Millennial (Tricia had always called him a Boomer since his hair is so light that it looks white, assuming he’s much older than he is).
📝PERSONAL NOTE:
Wikipedia is a great resource to find other documentation for research papers, but not for direct citation (because a lot of articles often have uncertified info); an amazing research resource is EBSCOhost, which was my favorite when I had to write papers.

Tatzelwurms are not to be messed with - they look cute, but they’re extremely vicious and destructive to both plants and Reapers alike.
They’re drawn to the scent of rare plants and minerals in the earth, causing them to dig them up and burrow nearby to produce large litters.
After countless times getting torn apart and patched up, and Sigrid not very happy about the method of extermination, Richard ponders on creating a repellent to keep Tatzelwurms out of Aina’s backyard.
Included are previous mentions and encounters of the Tatzelwurm (and there might be more to come).

Another #sketchdump, this time with a minimal color scheme.

Richard is usually the creepy one since he’s a Grim Reaper, but this time Sigrid has him creeped out as she sniffs and enjoys her boyfriend’s BO (guys can smell nice too!).

They weren’t dating yet, but Sigrid was in love seeing Richard wear formal work clothes for the first time.
She wrote in her diary Richard looked like he stepped out of an Armani advertisement, only in need of a haircut (Armani suits were a big thing in the 1980s).
Her face got so red once from blushing that Richard thought she had a fever; he bought several popsicles to cool her down, but Sigrid gave them all away to the arcade owner’s children nearby.
Sigrid insisted she was fine, just a bit flustered - which only made Richard more worried and try something else to make her feel better.

Johannes Faustuz can never get a break from soul collecting because there’s always something or someone dying nearby.
Like any task, there’s times it gets so busy he can’t keep up and needs help.
Faustuz is also wearing an updated version of his father’s outfit from the 1980s.
-
Grim Reapers and Monster Hunters are becoming more rare as less people are in tune with the spiritual, mythical, and occult world.
And not all souls get collected based on what they are (ie. plant and insect souls are mostly harmless, but animal and human souls - especially those who died suddenly and violently - are extremely dangerous and prone to transforming into monsters that harm the living).
Luckily most souls like to gather together and often like to float around the closest Grim Reaper wanting to move on.
But there are creatures that like to chase or devour them (cats can be a Grim Reapers biggest annoyance because they not only had multiple lives but also chase souls as if they’re yarn balls).

From the Scrap Pile:
Death Himself (formerly Richard Kasper) keeping a close eye on his son Hr. Dr. Kasper.
(2nd Slide from an old pic drawn over a year ago)
Death keeps his wife Sigrid, brother Heinrich, and other beloved people’s souls over his many lifetimes nearby for company.
Death mostly stays underground communicating telepathically to Grim Reapers, but occasionally he’ll pop up above ground wearing his black robe to personally deliver case files or join in the fight for a little fun.
It took a few years for Johannes Faustuz to figure out that his father was Death all along, making him very spiteful.
Faustuz felt like he was abandoned as a child when Richard couldn’t remain “human” without losing chunks of flesh and coughing out bodily fluids - thus Richard “died” when he finally hid away and left his son with his brother Heinrich and sister-in-law Yoko.
