Happy October! 🎃 As Summer refuses to let go and give out one more scorcher before finally transitioning into Fall, here’s a cute #nightmarebeforechristmas #pattern done with marigold yellow-orange. I must say… It really looks like a wrapping paper pattern… Perfect for Halloween and Christmas.💀 @disney @timburton @nightmarebefore_christmas_ — #autodesksketchbook #fanart #wallpaper #wallpaperpattern #nightmarebeforechristmasart #jack #jackskellington #sally #zero #oogieboogie #orange #green #white #black #blue #red #disney #timburton

Some souls floating around freely and glowing… - Souls naturally flow together and gather together in large numbers whenever there’s a Grim Reaper nearby. If a soul refuses to be gathered, it’ll have the potential of turning into a Poltergeist and cause physical harm to those who are living; once this happens, a Grim Reaper has no choice but to destroy the rogue soul - unless it finds a way to fulfill its unfinished business without causing too much damage. — #malecharacter #originalcharacter #man #room #couch #table #coffecup #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #motionleap #orange #brown #black #yellow #blue #green #pink #white

Another #sketchdump… Took awhile to finish this due to being busy with work and feeling lazy/tired/uninspired the past several days. •Sigrid likes dressing up in shorts & tanks when she’s not wearing school uniforms/dresses; when it’s nighttime she gets cold since she forgets to bring a sweater/jacket. Since Richard appeared, he’s been lending his coats which smells like Calvin Klein Obsession (Sigrid thought he’d stink with all the monsters & souls he hunts). •Hedy (Sigrid’s home room teacher/neighbor Mr. Vannderhassen’s cat) loves sneaking into Aina’s greenhouse for naps and visits with Odin (the neighborhood stray tomcat). As much as Sigrid and her mother love cats, their neighbor often accuses Aina of stealing his cat and is upset seeing a another man with Sigrid. •Richard gets calls from Aina at his office in Kiel about Tatzelwurms; they’re weasel/snake-like creatures that burrow underground & drawn to valuable crops (Aina grows flowers, shrubs, and herbs). He’ll get bloodied with scratches and bites killing them, which leads to stains on Aina’s floors; to prevent them, she’d force Richard to strip off his clothes and rinse off all the blood before getting locked in the bathroom until the laundry was done. •Sigrid relaxing after a doctor’s appointment; both know they’re expecting a boy but not sure if he’ll look like his mother or father (Johannes Faustuz ended up looking a lot like Richard). •Faustuz was able to see souls when he was about 3-6 months old; one soul would be floating nearby which scared him; it was his mother’s soul Richard keeps around for sentimental reasons after removing it from Sigrid’s body (Death keeps a special collection of souls of people he loved). •Aina has a hard time telling her grandson about his parents, esp. since it was Richard as Death who took Sigrid’s soul out; because of this, Faustuz grew up hating his father. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #drawing #ipaddrawing #animestyle #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #woman #boy #baby #blue #green #orange #yellow #red #pink #white #black #grey #gray #brown

A closer look at two extended family members: Ida & Sabrina Vandenberg. - Ida Baum met Olafur Kasper in college; she felt pity for him having burn scars on his face and scalp from the war; they quickly bonded over their shared background in the occult and love of American music. They married and had Heinrich; Olaf hoped his firstborn was the new incarnation of Death, while Ida took pride in their son wanting to become an occult historian like herself and her parents. It was a surprise when they were expecting a second child; Ida wanted it to be a girl, but both were soon disappointed when it was another boy (Heinrich was happy to have a little brother and gave him the name Richard). Ida was so depressed after giving birth that her parents took the newborn home with them at Johannesburg to let her recover. Richard was returned about 5 years later, but Ida became more disturbed when she overheard her youngest son bring up past events about his father she never heard about, revealing that he was the long awaited incarnation of Death within the Kasper family. Unable to stomach her husband’s past and unhappy not having the daughter she wanted, Ida found love elsewhere with a young American soldier and eloped with him to New York to start a new life with him. She felt some pity towards her oldest child, occasionally sending him presents and letters of encouragement to continue his studies; however, like Olaf, Ida was cold towards Richard - more so when she had her third child, finally the daughter she always wanted. - Sabrina grew up spoiled as an only child; she’s notorious for being posh and cutthroat, but also hardworking and resourceful. She knew about Heinrich early on, but was shocked when she learned she actually had two older siblings; Sabrina wasn’t interested with either brother, but of the two, she hated Richard mainly because he was the younger one and resembles their mother the most. — #femalecharacter #malecharacter #autodesksketchbook #frauv8_ocs #characterdesign #charactersheet #notes #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #men #woman #women #sons #mother #daughter #pink #green #orange #blue #white #yellow

#sketchdump of Sigrid and Richard I haven’t posted since drawing it a few days ago… Could say it’s a closer look at when Sigrid was finally getting used to Richard being around more often, asking questions about his upbringing and past when he was about her age. - Richard was raised by his grandparents in Johannesburg soon after he was born and remained there until he was considered old enough to return to Kiel to start school and not “interfere” with his older brother Heinrich’s studies (mother’s parents were German-Dutch immigrants to South Africa). His father Olaf wasn’t happy having a second son and had hoped that Heinrich was Death Himself incarnated, not Richard; his mother Ida also wanted a daughter and not having the girl she wanted made her abandon her family for a young American soldier and start a new life abroad (she also was horrified when she overheard their son mention the terrible things Olaf had done during the war); this lead to Richard having a hard life living with his father at home but an enjoyable experience at school with his brother and classmates. Richard was quite popular and athletic as a kid and teenager, often playing sports and flirting with girls only to shatter their hearts for fun; he had his first girlfriend in High School, and continued to have many more for years - until he finally stopped with Sigrid. Richard kept visiting his grandparents until his younger half-sister Sabrina was given control of the family estate in Johannesburg when she turned 21 (like their mother Ida, she wanted nothing to do with her older half-brothers and kept them away from their grandparents; Sabrina was disgusted that Richard married Sigrid not just because she was a teenager but also considered her “plain as a sheet of paper”; lately she’s been interested with her nephew Johannes Faustuz only because he’s associated with the Ström family through his wife Freyja). — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #drawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #schoolgirl #blue #green #yellow #red #pink #white #pink #purple #brown #orange

Simple drawing, first one in a while… As long as I don’t clench my hand too much and wear my wrist brace, it’s not too bad... (I should invest in getting a wrist support for typing too) - It’s Stern the Amabie, one of the Kaspers’ many creatures they’ve taken in whenever they’re in need of a home for whatever reason. Stern was found at the backyard by the family cat Klimt, who carried her to Hr. Dr. Kasper’s desk as a “present”; she was flown there by a red-tail hawk nesting in a tree, and escaped its nest full of chicks only to fall down and nearly die from sun exposure and dehydration. Cedrick does his best to keep all the critters happy as caretaker while his father is busy away at work; Stern doesn’t require much other than her water being changed weekly and fed fish flakes daily, but she’s known to crawl out of her fishbowl every now and then to enjoy a bath in a hot cup of tea and chat with her fellow Yōkai Junko the Hyōsube. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadrodrawing #animestyle #fishbowl #mythicalcreature #yokai #amabie #malecharacter #boy #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs

A closer look at some of the Re-ment drugstore set items I unboxed earlier. (My live video is on my IGTV now for anyone who missed it) Aside from drawing, I also collect dolls and miniatures. It’s been mentioned to me many times, but yes - my dolls do look a lot like a few of my OCs (Cedrick, Tricia, Freyja); because of that, I do use them occasionally as models. And since I do have a lot of Re-ment items, I probably should be showing them off by doing more doll photography (I probably have over 1,000 pieces by now). — #rement #rements #rementcollection #drugstore #doll #dolls #miniatures #miniature #miniatureitems #rementminiatures #remenminiature #rementdrugstore #miniaturephotography #dollphotography

It’s not often I’d draw Hr. Dr. Kasper with his parents (Sigrid died a few days after childbirth; Richard “deteriorated” when he was 2-almost-3 years old), but it’s kinda a fun experiment drawing them together just to compare how he looks like to them. It’s pretty obvious that he’d resemble Richard a lot (same coloring, height, etc.), but there’s also quite a bit of Sigrid he inherited (hair style, personality/expressions, etc.). …also it’s another excuse to draw matching plaid outfits influenced by their respective decades, lol. (I just really like drawing outfits on OCs, okay?!) Feel free to comment below to say which parent Johannes Faustuz resembles, or vote on the poll featured in “SIGRID’S DIARY”. Another #sketchdump… 🖊 About each drawing: • Freyja loves using her husband’s glasses as a fashion accessory. That’s why Johannes Faustuz has so many styles and pairs of them - and because he has so many, he always has a spare pair to see (his right green eye is nearly blind unless it’s activated). • Faustuz doesn’t like buying new clothes if it’s avoidable, especially for expensive items (he rather spend the money for a date night with Freyja or on treats for the many creatures the family has at home). Luckily he inherited some stuff from his father Richard that he actually likes to wear, such as watches, rings, and suits (Richard bought a few Armani suits in the 1980s to impress Sigrid). • Freyja and Faustuz are notorious for staying out late after their dinner dates (for obvious reasons - mainly to get time away from work and their son Cedrick), often upsetting Erik when they finally get home around dawn (he’s always going to be a protective father for his daughter no matter how old she is). — #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #woman #couple #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #characterstudy #characterdesign #characterart #character #characters #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #drawing #ipaddrawing #ipaddrawings

Papa Kasper and son’s fantasy versions, including past drawings going all the way back to 2017. - Johannes Faustuz wears something that resembles a mage and plague doctor; Cedrick wears something like an imperial military uniform (he was conscripted to join The Mad King Erik’s elite naval guard). Both are skilled in magic, making potions, treating illnesses and injuries, and Necromancy - something only descendants of Death and Blood Elves know. —— #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #sketchbookautodesk #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #characterdesign #charactersheet #fantasy #fantasyart #malecharacter #blond #skull #ghost #frauv8_ocs

And finally finished after suffering from fatigue and nausea/vomiting due to a severe migraine…😖 (I get a least one or two a month which sucks) - Just wanted to see if I could make something that looks like a retro anime from the 1980s using these two OCs from that time frame. The greenhouse background is a bit sloppy, proof that I get tired and lazy after a long time.💩 I changed Richard’s face a bit to make him look at his feline-lookalike, and people voted for Sigrid to hold Odin instead of Hedy (Hedy [the black cat] version is the 5th slide). - Now that I had made this, I guess I could try making some fan art from the 1970s-1980s anime era (might be time to draw VOLTRON or LADY OSCAR: ROSE OF VERSAILLES).
