And finally finished after suffering from fatigue and nausea/vomiting due to a severe migraine…😖 (I get a least one or two a month which sucks) - Just wanted to see if I could make something that looks like a retro anime from the 1980s using these two OCs from that time frame. The greenhouse background is a bit sloppy, proof that I get tired and lazy after a long time.💩 I changed Richard’s face a bit to make him look at his feline-lookalike, and people voted for Sigrid to hold Odin instead of Hedy (Hedy [the black cat] version is the 5th slide). - Now that I had made this, I guess I could try making some fan art from the 1970s-1980s anime era (might be time to draw VOLTRON or LADY OSCAR: ROSE OF VERSAILLES). Comment below to let me know what you think. — #autodesksketchbook #motionleap #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #drawing #lineart #animestyle #retro #retroanime #retroanimeaesthetic #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #femalecharacter #girl #malecharacter #man #couple #cat #roses #1980s #aesthetic #red #blue #green #yellow #black #white

Richard Kasper with Hedy and Odin’s last litter of kittens Balder, Thor, and Loki. Hedy was named after the actress for her dark hair, while Odin was named after the Kaspers’ “Odin’s Eye” ability expressed as Heterochromia; each of their kittens were named after Norse gods based on their looks - the orange one is Thor, the grey one is Loki, and the white one is Balder. - As a Grim Reaper/Death, Richard normally isn’t fond of cats having extra lives and often chasing souls away like balls of yarn; but because he’s the incarnation of Death, cats are naturally drawn to him. Since his girlfriend Sigrid loves cats, Richard’s learned to tolerate them over time - even to the point he lets them sit on him (Hedy actually gave birth to her first litter on his lap). — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #drawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #man #cats #kittens #blue #yellow #green #brown #black #white

#sketchdump again with Richard and Sigrid in the 1980s. About each drawing📝: •Aina often asks Richard to check up on her daughter Sigrid since she’s been bullied by schoolmate since childhood. One time Aina requested that he pick Sigrid up immediately after school, and Richard trying to clarify asked “Do you mean by car or sweeping Siri off her feet?”; without an answer as it was time to go, he just went with the latter and carried poor Sigrid home from school (like a genie or android, Richard can be a bit too literal at times if given instructions aren’t specific, lol). •To keep things simple, Richard says that he’s 30 or 35; but as his true self as Death, he’s really ancient at 300,000-350,000 years old (which is approximately the same time Homo sapiens emerged). It’s also a common trope to depict Death as an old man with a young girl to show the concept that no matter how pretty and lively someone is, Death’s always ready to snatch them away at any moment (think Hades and Persephone). And then there’s movies from the 1980s where the main girl is about 16 years old with a man pushing 30 or so (“DIRTY DANCING” comes to mind), so the 8+ years age gap between Richard and Sigrid isn’t surprising considering these factors. •Lots of times Richard can’t help himself but smother his girlfriend with a big hug and call her cute, especially while she’s studying; Sigrid normally doesn’t like attention and tries to tone down the affection (especially when other people are around), but she’ll get upset if Richard is gone for long periods of time. — #frauv8_ocs #frauv8ocs #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #drawing #ipaddrawing #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #blue #green #yellow #red #pink #white

Anyone else getting Ecto Cooler and Gummibär vibes from this pic, or is it just me? 👀 Anyway, this was my original idea for the last pic with red groats, but then after some deep thinking and looking at the red color scheme it just makes way more sense to use Sigrid (it’s also her favorite food and she’s Danish). And further research revealed that there’s other variants of the same dessert based on the berries used to make it, and green groats just seems to fit better with Cedrick based off its unique green color scheme and the use of kiwi.🥝 (There’s also Blaue Grütze with blueberries, Schwarze Grütze with blackberries, and Weiße Grütze with white currants - and all this talk of fruit is making me hungry…🤤) And to put things in perspective, Sigrid and Cedrick are drawn at about the same age (Sigrid is 15-16; Cedrick is 14-15), just in different eras (1980s vs 2020s). — #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #boy #grünegrütze #germandessert #whitecurrant #kiwi #kiwiberry #green #yellow #white #red #blue #animestyle #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing

Quick drawing - OCs Freyja and her husband Johannes Faustuz wearing matching cornflower blue outfits.💙 (One of my favorite colors) It’s a bit reminiscent of an old pic of the same two characters from 2018 also wearing matching outfits (last slide). — #autodesksketchbook #man #woman #couple #femalecharacter #malecharacter #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #characterart #blue #white #cornflowerblue #fashion #matchingoutfits #coupleoutfit #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing

Still alive. Been busy driving and working, only to drop straight into bed at the end of the day to wake up early and start the cycle all over again. For one day just to stay awake for work, I had a whole can of V8 Energy drink, a large cup of iced coffee latte, and over half a can of Mountain Dew Rise with occasional walks around the work compound. (Yes, I’m that tired; it’s always like this at the start of a new racing meet down at Del Mar) So here’s a quick drawing of this guy running around for the meantime while I recover. — #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #characterdesign #characterart #malecharacter #man #doctor #labcoat #scrubs #blond #longhair #green #white #grey #gray #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #frauv8_ocs

Well… I never got a sixth idol, so I just went ahead and finished these ladies and gentleman up (yep, only one guy this this round of Fan Arts). I’m a fan of K-Pop but not to the point that I know every name of each idol / artist in each band - just a casual fan. (I can’t keep up with how many of them there are!😭) Let me know what you think in the comments below.
