“Caught you!”❤️ - Sigrid would watch people out of curiosity from behind plants and walls to see what kind of personality they have. Richard was smitten by her glaring blue eyes and acknowledged her curiosity about him, unlike her childhood crush Batty who’d immediately do everything to avoid her. Because of this unexpected reciprocation, Sigrid doesn’t know how to react - leading to lashing out in frustration and acting as if she doesn’t like Richard. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #originalart #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #animestyle #animestyleart #flowers #comic #webtoon #pink #green #yellow #red #brown #black #white #loveatfirstsight #love #crush #blush #frauv8_ocs

Another #sketchdump : • Heinrich & Richard’s younger half-sister: Sabrina “Nina”Vandenberg. Sabrina was the result of their mother’s affair with an American soldier she eloped with after giving birth to a second son she didn’t want. Sabrina doesn’t mind her oldest half-brother Heinrich being everyone’s favorite child (she also adores him for his cool & collected demeanor), but like her mother and stepfather, she can’t stand being around Richard and constantly belittles him to show her dominance within the family (both siblings resemble their mother & have the same hot temper). She also doesn’t like Richard’s new girlfriend Sigrid - feeling mostly jealous of her youth, beauty, wit, & ability to cast complex spells (Sabrina is about 5-10 years older than Sigrid and never went to an academy to hone her magical skills). • Both Kasper Brothers have been extremely close since their mother abandoned the family for her lover & their youngest sibling, with Heinrich often protecting Richard from their father’s abuse. Despite their large age gap & opposite personalities, they are often seen together - playing Football when they were children, now sharing beers together as adults at the local pub. The two had a brief fallout when Heinrich broke off his betrothal and married the woman he loved - forcing Richard to step up and take over the role as the new heir; their relationship was repaired with the birth of Heinrich’s children (Richard would spoil them rotten, giving his brother & sister-in-law headaches from the trouble). Heinrich initially didn’t like his younger brother’s choice to date and eventually marry Sigrid, remarking Richard is “too old to be chasing after schoolgirls” and agreed with their father that “she’s better off dead” due to her life curse. However, as time passed, he grew to enjoy their discussions about plants and playing chess with her (he’d always get checkmated, realizing why his brother so attracted to her). — #originalcharactersart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #siblings #brothers #frauv8_ocs #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #characterart #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk

Another sketch dump… Still waiting to get my first “6 Fan Arts” of the year to get filled out while it’s pouring buckets outside… • After the Valentine’s Day she was rejected by her childhood crush, Sigrid started getting weekly visits from her assigned Grim Reaper. Initially she was annoyed seeing Richard, especially when her mother doted over him as if he’s a missing son, but over time Sigrid grew to like her unlikely suitor as she learns of their shared interests and how much nicer he was in comparison to Batty; it got to the point she looked forward to his visits and enjoyed having long conversations about life, slowly falling in love with him (even when he revealed his true identity as Death Himself). • Richard and Sigrid’s romance had been kept secret a year before her classmates discovered them kissing at the local arcade (it was no secret Sigrid had been inviting Richard to trimonthly debutantes under the guise that he was there to observe as her Grim Reaper). Her stepmother, Headmistress of the academy, hoped Sigrid would spend the rest of her life as the school’s most powerful Witch, but was disappointed Sigrid choose to be expelled after violating the rule against dating as a student; Sigrid soon married Richard and moved to Kiel where they could avoid unwanted attention, leading to the end of her life after giving birth to their son. • Though Richard loved Sigrid, as Death he was more than eager to snatch out her soul. Fate assigns top cases such as cursed individuals for Death Himself to take care of personally, but Sigrid’s case was puzzling because Fate ordered him to only observe her before he could finally collect Sigrid’s soul. It’s not known why Fate Herself allowed Death to woo and marry Sigrid, but it’s hinted that she wants more assistance for Death regarding the Underworld with more wandering souls managing to escape (Johannes is as powerful as his father despite being half human). • A photo of them that their son Johannes keeps on his desk. — #sketchdump #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #red #blue #yellow #black #white

Another fashion era comparison with Johannes and his parents Richard & Sigrid: 1980s suit vs 2020s suit It seems like anything from the 1980s to the 2000s are in and fair game (so basically just rewear whatever you and your family accumulated over the years and / or go to a local thrift shop - there’s more than enough clothing available to choose from and it’s sustainable). The 1980s really loved their suits, especially Armani for men and the female “Power Suit” with the shoulder pads & tailored skirts. Sigrid loves dressing up whenever she gets a chance to wear something that’s not her school uniform, especially gowns & suits to show off her sewing skills; Richard finally updated his wardrobe from the 1970s soon after dating Sigrid to show an effort to keep up with appearances (he normally wears a black robe as Death; when summoned back as a human, he tries to wear new current clothing appropriate for his “adjusted age”). [as Death he’s over 350,000 years old, but as Richard he’s currently ~80] The 2020s suit is more slim (often called “European-Cut”) and in a way has become less formal with the current Pandemic being a big reason (people just don’t want to dress up for work, especially when working at home). Johannes doesn’t like dressing up much (he prefers wearing scrubs, sweatpants, & Crocs or Birkenstocks most of the time for work), but he’s willing to put on a suit every now and then with a touch of comfort on his free time (i.e. wearing a T-shirt & athletic shoes instead of a collared shirt, necktie, & loafers). His teenage son Cedrick wears a similar look to his, but with more colorful patterns & street wear blended in. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #originalart #originalcharacterart #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #malecharacter #femalecharacter #characterdesign #frauv8_ocs #animestyle #1980sfashion #2020sfashion #suit #powersuit #fashion #clothing #grey #gray #white #red #pink #black #patterns #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted one of these… • Because Sigrid is a Wicca unable to cast spells without an activation potion, her Enchantress schoolmates target her knowing she can’t retaliate (they would also steal & shatter her potion bottles and slash her bicycle tires). Her mother Aina usually treats her wounds when she returns home from school, but this one time she had an appointment & asked Richard to watch over the flower shop. What really pisses him off the most is people attacking others who are defenseless (he broke off his engagement with his ex because she was abusive to his sister-in-law & her children); seeing Sigrid’s face covered up with cuts & bruises was more than enough to trigger his desire to hunt down those who hurt her. • Regardless whether he’s human or Death, Richard is known for his vengeful temper - he takes souls without warning, and leaves behind a bloody scene to warn monsters & humans alike that he doesn’t mess around. Knowing this, Sigrid often has to plead with her boyfriend before he gets too haughty & blinded with rage for her sake. (Kasper men are infamous for being extremely protective of their family members & lovers, the only trait the occult community as a whole admires about the Kaspers) • It’s not often Freyja gets time off with her husband. Because she’s the wife of a Reaper, there’s an occasional monster nearby targeting her; what the monster often doesn’t know is that Freyja’s the daughter of an occult weapons maker & can fight almost as well as Johannes. Of course, sometimes it’s only just the press poaching for shots of her with her elusive man. • When all 3 generations are gathered together, there’s serious trouble amongst the world of the mythical & occult. Johannes doesn’t like having to work with his father Richard/Death due to personal issues, plus he does his best not to involve his son Cedrick for Freyja’s sake. Death can only be summoned by his direct blood-relatives for help (father, nephew, niece, son, and grandson). — #digitaldrawing #digitalart #ipaddrawing #sketchdump #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #femalecharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #comic #frauv8_ocs

“This little glass vial has as much power as a whole 500 ml bottle of activation potion?!” Going back to the 1980s with Sigrid and Richard lying on the green grass in the backyard, looking at and discussing a new version of an activation potion. - Sigrid uses activation potions to access her “Magical Potential” at her academy (Wicca needs an activation potion to unlock their ability to cast spells); Enchantresses can access their magic immediately, thus Sigrid was subjected to bullying and harassment by schoolmates - they would beat her up and steal the bottles of activation potion to prevent her from casting spells. But when Sigrid does have a chance to drink a bottle, her magic skills exceed all of her schoolmates combined - making her the academy’s most powerful student on record (something inherited from her Warlock father, passed down to her son, and now her grandson). To help her, Richard first started concentrating the contents of a single potion bottle into a tiny vial that can fit easily inside a pocket; eventually he developed a capsule for her to swallow before attending school, making it impossible for bullies to target her without getting retaliation (otherwise Richard would start planning out elaborate near-death experiences for each bully before his girlfriend would object). Sigrid’s grades in spell-casting significantly improved over the year, triggering curiosity and suspicions amongst schoolmates and teachers - especially the academy headmistress (who’s also her stepmother). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #prequel #motionleap #frauv8_ocs #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #couple #man #girl #grass #flowers #green #red #yellow #blue #white #1980s

“You forgot your coat… Take mine…” Sigrid has a bad habit of forgetting a coat wherever she goes outside, especially when she’s in a rush to school (she’s not very cold while running, and uses a heating potion that’s useful only one way going to school - her schoolmates would often steal or break the bottle so she’ll be cold after classes are finished). If she’s lucky, Richard would be around at the academy afterwards to give her his coat and drive her the rest of the way whether it be home at her mother’s flower shop, the local arcade owned by Batty’s father, or at the university’s library where she could wait and study while her boyfriend is working. #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #prequel #motionleap #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #winter #snow #coat #cold #whitewinter #white #brown #blue #grey #gray #red #yellow

This was sitting in my Drafts for almost a whole entire YEAR! 😵‍💫 But it’s Holiday Season again, so now’s a good time to post it (then archive it, lol). It’s Papa Kasper dressed up as a Heavy Metal Rocker Christkind.🤘🎸👑 [original 2021 commentary below] If Papa Kasper had his take on the Christkind, he’d be wearing all black and gold like a rockstar, lol. (And Jesus totally looks like a metal rocker too… or hippie… huh…🤔) Despite being stoic, academic, and very by-the-book most of the time, Faustuz does has a bit of a bad boy 1980s-1990s metal rocker that occasionally wants to be channel out (the long hair and singing karaoke with his cousin Hansel kinda hint at it). Even though their son Cedrick put a lot of effort into making this outfit, there’s no way Mama is passing up the opportunity to have her husband all dolled up in a traditional holiday costume for charity. I still can’t find a definite reason for the sex swap after lots of research - it’s a bit confusing how Christkind over centuries turned from a baby boy into a grown woman wearing a white and gold dress and huge crown; even vintage cards are often androgynous in regards to Christkind’s sex (just a blonde child with angel wings, white robe, and halo holding an evergreen branch and sack of gifts and often being followed by a deer), but the word “Kind” is gender neutral so… I guess it makes sense in that way? 😞😖😣😫 — #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #woman #comic #christkind #holidays #christmas #xmas #xmasプレゼント #weihnachten🎄

Eleventh OC for my wardrobe prompt: Johannes Faustuz (better known as Hr. Dr. Kasper)/Pajamas This guy really doesn’t need much of an introduction - he’s one of my first original OCs following after Cedrick (he’s his father after all). His personality is mostly nice with crass and sarcastic undertones, but overall he means well and goes out of his way to help others even to the detriment of his patience and sanity; he sometimes risks injury if it means protecting those unfamiliar with mythical creatures and monsters. He works as an oncologist or substitute professor during the daytime, Grim Reaper at night. Johannes is the result of a relationship between Death Himself (Richard at the time during his brief time as a human) and Sigrid who was cursed to die before reaching her 18th birthday (she died from complications of childbirth). His relationship with his father is strained, especially with feeling abandoned since he was almost 4 when Death couldn’t maintain his human form much longer. As a father himself, Johannes takes his role seriously and does whatever he can to make sure Cedrick grows up into a decent person. — #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #drawing #black #pink #yellow #blue #green #digitalinktober #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #animestyle #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #man #fashion #clothing #clothes #inktober #inktober2022 #frauv8_ocs

Something about a random bone color scheme just made me want to draw a heute couture academia outfit… Maybe because it’s the fact it’s October and skeletons are abundant, or that Bone White is a good transitional color for fashion between Fall and Winter? Or it’s because Cedrick is a Junior Grim Reaper and White is another color closely associated with death and the ghastly?
