“Hi! I’m Cedrick!” (I’ve been grilled on Duolingo so much to use „Ich heiße…“, but I’ve also seen/heard „Ich bin...“ and „Mein Name ist…“ used; it’s hard to say what’s the preferred/proper way when all 3 ways are said to be correct 😐) Cedrick Kasper was my first official OC I made all the way back circa 2005-2006. His original design was quite messy (he actually had Emo hair!) and he was aged a little older at 21, but after several redraws and a bit of background rewriting, Cedrick is finally the adorkable teenager we know and love today. Normally Sigrid would be pissed at Richard asking those kind of questions (she’s not very good with English, she still had feelings for her childhood crush at the time, and the last one was asked because he wanted her to snap back), but something serious came up: Her father unexpectedly came to visit her mother’s shop, which almost never happens. (Richard also looks upset because he hates seeing Sigrid sad, and he’s a little jealous that she still likes Batty despite how he mistreated her since they were children) - Sigrid had a non-existent relationship with her father Samuel, afraid of seeing him not only because he was a powerful Warlock (the most powerful one in Denmark at the time), but also because he cursed her out of spite and shame - he didn’t want a Wicca as a daughter, especially as his firstborn child. He had hoped she was an Enchantress when Aina was expecting, but after she was born and didn’t express the distinct Enchantress trait of sparkling eyes by her first birthday, Samuel placed a life curse absorbing most of Sigrid’s lifespan before Aina caught him and intervened; she immediately packed a bag with her essentials, scooped up their daughter in her arms, and left him behind distraught (Samuel still loved Aina and wanted to try having another child, hoping next time would either be an Enchantress or Warlock). Aina raised Sigrid on her own while Samuel remarried and had a son soon afterwards (her stepmother was the academy’s headmistress, and her younger half-brother Torborn eventually became a powerful Warlock himself). Richard treating Sigrid with ice cream after work at her mother Aina’s flower shop. - In the early months since they met, Richard treated Sigrid like a little sister tutoring and accompanying her to/from school, as well as helping out with housework neither she or her mother could do on their own - like killing Tatzelwurms, installing new sprinklers, repairing cracked pavements, and lifting bags of soil and crates of flower pots (Aina used to ask Sigrid’s crush Batty for help, but since he started working as a police officer and crushed Sigrid’s heart after rejecting her confession, Batty has been ignoring Aina’s phone calls and avoiding Sigrid at his father’s arcade; Aina practically took advantage of Richard by having him help out around her flower shop/house while allowing him to woo her daughter). My poor attempt in making one of them smexy drink videos, lol. It was okay right after making this video, but adding just a tiny bit more syrup made it perfect (you always need more than you think to really get some flavor, especially as the ice melts). Also, the Voiceover couldn’t say it right the first time - it’s still not quite right after some adjustments with the “U” and “E”, lol. It’s two syllables. Starts like “Über” and ends like “Café” - not one syllable like “Boob” without the first “B”, lol. Is it way too early to think about Summer?☀️ Because it’s been pushing over 80F/30C here in California and it already feels like Summer when it’s not even officially Spring yet - I want my Winter weather, Damnit! 😫 I haven’t posted my last two pics here on IG yet (one will be posted on 30 March for specific reasons; the other is already posted on my website frausama.com if you want to see it before it’s eventually posted here). This one is fresh from my iPad, and I don’t think I’ve made anything that screams 1980s aesthetic more than this pic (I’m sure I’ll make another one that’ll be just as much retro). I have 3 versions featured: glasses on, glasses off, and Richard with trunks on (sometimes Sigrid gets too embarrassed that her boyfriend goes out only wearing a Speedo🩲). Sigrid and Richard often went to the beach away from Copenhagen for weekend dates🏖; at the peak of Summer in July, Richard would take Sigrid out sailboat rides at his hometown (he’s from Kiel where there’s an annual sailboat festival⛵️). - 🐼 Side Note: I also just watched “Turning Red”, and boy that movie hit me hard with some of my childhood memories - I actually was in 8th Grade in 2002 just like Mei!😱 (I actually was into the “Backstreet Boys” more than “*NSync”, had a Giga Pet knock-off, collected those stickers [esp. Lisa Frank ones], owned a portable CD player, but I didn’t get a flip-phone until I was 18). Dr. Kasper’s timid and klutzy assistant still undergoing nursing courses; she’s often annoyed whenever Cedrick is around, jealous of how well he can draw blood and give shots at one go • Asia Williams —— The wife of Hr. Dr. Kasper’s coworker/BFF Tyrone Williams; she works at a salon, loves cooking vegan food, and makes her own jewelry • Aina Faustus (Aino Hanninen) —— Hr. Dr. Kasper’s grandmother (Sigrid’s mother); she is a Wicca who owns a flower shop in Copenhagen and makes/sells herbal medicine and potions • Freyja Ström —— Hr. Dr. Kasper’s wife and Cedrick’s mother; she’s a TV Show Host/Supermodel with strong ties to her Viking heritage and the Occult • Sigrid Faustus-Jørgensen —— Hr. Dr. Kasper’s mother; she was a student in an all-girls academy for Enchantresses despite being a Wicca (basically the same as an Enchantress, only unable to cast spells without the help of potions) • Granger Rodriguez —— Police Officer/Death’s secretary; enjoys poking at Hr. Dr. Kasper occasionally whenever she’s bored or needs assistance • Tricia Williams —— Tyrone’s niece and one of Hr. Dr. Kasper’s university students; she’s also being tutored by Cedrick to help her keep her grades up for a sports scholarship (she plays Volleyball) • Yoko Kasper —— Hr.
