A California Winter (Remake vs Original) I can say with confidence that my OCs have been consistent, more or less, in the last several years - especially these two. (yes, Cedrick is a big K-Pop Stan - he’s wearing a Felix [Stray Kids] T-shirt, making him a “Stay”) - Quite a bit of people in California think 60F is cold (I know someone who actually thinks 72F is too cold!), but me - I LOVE IT! I’m pretty spoiled with the warm weather most of the year (except Summer - I HATE IT), but it’s nice having cooler weather every now and then. My ideal daytime temp is about 55-60F so I can wear a light sweater or jacket over my usual T-shirt and leggings and be comfortable for the most part (if it’s colder than 50F, especially at night, then I get uncomfortable and crabby if I’m not wearing enough layers). This was sitting in my Drafts for almost a whole entire YEAR! 😵‍💫 But it’s Holiday Season again, so now’s a good time to post it (then archive it, lol). It’s Papa Kasper dressed up as a Heavy Metal Rocker Christkind.🤘🎸👑 [original 2021 commentary below] If Papa Kasper had his take on the Christkind, he’d be wearing all black and gold like a rockstar, lol. (And Jesus totally looks like a metal rocker too… or hippie… huh…🤔) Despite being stoic, academic, and very by-the-book most of the time, Faustuz does has a bit of a bad boy 1980s-1990s metal rocker that occasionally wants to be channel out (the long hair and singing karaoke with his cousin Hansel kinda hint at it). Even though their son Cedrick put a lot of effort into making this outfit, there’s no way Mama is passing up the opportunity to have her husband all dolled up in a traditional holiday costume for charity. The whole family filming an episode of “FLASH FASHION” - Freyja’s TV show that’s like a combination of “PROJECT RUNWAY” and “IRON CHEF”: A set of three contestants have to make a fashion item with unconventional materials based on an assigned theme with a 24-hour time limit. It’s not often Freyja has her son Cedrick and husband Hr. Dr. Kasper on screen with her (for privacy reasons and work schedules), but when they do, they use their pseudonyms (Cedrick’s is “Magnus” and Johannes-Faustuz’s is “Jonah-Fritz”). Twelfth (and last) OC for my wardrobe prompt: Freyja / Underwear Freyja Ström is Hr. Dr. Kasper’s beloved wife whom is often away working hard as a TV show host, supermodel, magazine editor, and Vice President of STRÖM CORPORATIONS & INDUSTRIES. She may look beautiful and dainty, but this fiery strawberry blonde was raised by a father alongside her four male cousins - making her more than capable fighting monsters on her own as long she has access to a weapon (especially hammers and battle axes). Tenth OC for my wardrobe prompt: Tricia / Summer Patricia “Tricia” Williams is Tyrone’s older sister’s daughter whom he took in when she was 16 (his sister died from a drug overdose). Initially she was difficult with her uncle and his family, but after awhile she grew close with her aunt Asia - leading her to getting a job alongside her aunt at the family’s salon. Tricia loves sports, especially playing Volleyball; being a top player in High School lead to getting a sports scholarship for university. But Tricia isn’t very keen on studying and keeping up with her grades, putting her in a predicament: she needs to get her GPA up or else she looses her scholarship (she already taken Biology 101 twice, failed Algebra three times, and barely passed English). Being in Biology 101 multiple times has caught the attention of her professor Vinnie DeValeur, both out of academic concern and attraction; but since he’s not always present at the university, his substitute Hr. Dr. Kasper has been notified about her situation - and he also happens to be a coworker of her uncle Tyrone. As a remedy, Hr. Dr. Kasper has assigned her tutoring sessions with his son Cedrick over her constant trips to the mall with her BFF Carmen Rodriguez (the younger sister of Officer Granger). Fourth OC for my October wardrobe prompt: Tyrone / Sports Tyrone Williams and his family are originally from Houston, Texas and he’s a big sports fan (he’ll watch any sport just to get a break from work). He works as a Pediatrician at the same hospital in Los Angeles with the Kaspers, Kimiko, and Fatima (I’ve drawn her a few times many years ago, but I should draw her again sometime soon). His niece Tricia attends at the university where Hr. Dr. Kasper occasionally substitutes for Prof. Vinnie DeValeur (who happens to be Tricia’s Biology professor and the hospital director’s son). Tyrone also has a toddler daughter Queenie who often visits the hospital whenever his wife Asia can’t get anyone to watch over her while she working at the family salon (Queenie’s real name is Quinella because she was born on May 5th at 5:55 AM). Third OC for my wardrobe prompt: Kimiko / Raincoat Kimiko Abe is Hr. Dr. Kasper’s nurse at the hospital he works at in Los Angeles (his cousin Hansel is his nurse at his hometown Kiel). Kimiko is from Yokohama, and the oldest of four girls; she’s very sweet, polite, and kind - but on the flip side she’s very klutzy and follows her doctor everywhere at the hospital to avoid getting lost (if he’s too busy, she’ll follow Cedrick, Fatima, or Tyrone instead). She initially wasn’t thrilled about being paired up with Johannes when she first arrived (she actually expected someone Asian like herself), but was surprised and relieved to know her doctor is fluent with Japanese and can help her with paperwork and phrasing (Kimiko still struggles a lot with English; Hr. Dr. Kasper’s second language after German is actually Japanese [his aunt Yoko is half Japanese, half Korean], followed by Danish, English, some Korean, and bits of French and Spanish). Kimiko over time has developed great respect for Johannes, calling him the triple honorific “Herr Doktor-San”; as for Cedrick, she despises him whenever he takes attention away from her doctor and outdoes her in daily tasks such as drawing blood and giving shots (she’s also jealous that he’s a Wunderkind and graduated school earlier than she did). Kimiko currently has no romantic interests; she had developed a slight crush on Johannes, but it didn’t last long after learning he was happily married and has a son. Staff often teases her whenever she’s around Cedrick since he’s the closest to her age (she’s 20-22, over six years older than him), but she loudly proclaimed that she prefers “older men”. Welp, I wasn’t quite satisfied with the last one I did for Sigrid, and I ended up going all out on this one lol… My drawing hand really hurts, my eyes are dry, and it’s currently the morning (I stayed up all night 💀). Have to admit it was fun researching 1980s wedding gowns for this pic. In a way, this is a redraw of an old pic of Sigrid and Richard getting married; Sigrid’s dress now is definitely 1980s compared to her old one (it’s still 1980s but very simple compared to what most people think of 1980s wedding gowns like Princess Diana’s and Ariel’s). Her father cursed her soon after her birth, disappointed she wasn’t the son he wanted and not even an Enchantress (the class of Witches who don’t require potions to activate their magical powers, unlike the class of Wicca who rely on potions); she was to die before adulthood and her stolen lifespan was transferred to extend her father’s. Despite being Wicca, Sigrid became the top student in her class due to her inherited power from her father. Cursed with a limited lifespan, she had difficulty making friends amongst classmates; even her childhood crush Batty dismissed her as “not worth his time”. Being isolated made her very attentive to plants she grew for her mother’s flower shop and play video games daily at the local arcade (Sigrid would often refer to her plants as “her children”). Sigrid’s soul was also marked to be collected by Death Himself when her time was finally up; with 2-5 years left to live, Europe’s top Reaper arrived to observe and wait until he can take her soul on Death’s behalf. Initially Sigrid didn’t like Richard based on his playboy reputation and violent methods of killing mythical monsters, and she did figure out that his true identity as Death Himself, but after almost a year later the pair were inseparable and deeply in love.
