Based on Fate’s timeline, he could either be helping someone live longer as Dr. Richard Kasper - or he’s been sent to snatch out souls directly as Death.
It’s said Death take form of something or someone who can get close to their victims - because of his highly acclaimed profession, good looks, and charming demeanor, Richard can get close to his intended targets without setting off too much suspicion; when one does suspect something, it’s usually too late.
Initially it was supposed to be the case for his current intended victim Sigrid Jörgensen-Faustus, but lately his instructions from Fate are to assist and observe her for some time; Fate assigned the ultimate Grim Reaper to Sigrid due to the curse her Warlock father placed on her - Sigrid’s lifespan has been shortened to less than twenty years and transferred to extend her father’s supposedly because she was not born as a son or Enchantress (instead she was born as a Wicca like her mother with “Magical Potential” exceeding her father’s).
Richard / Death has been feeling a bit confused and concerned about his current case, especially since he’s become intrigued and smitten by Sigrid’s beauty and snarky personality.

“The Black Skull of Kiel” and his sons Heinrich & Richard Kasper.
Olafur Kasper was the youngest of 3 sons, the 2nd half of identical twins (his oldest brother was named Rudolf and was born during WW1, his twin shared the same name as the guy who took over their country when they were born - making their nicknames Rudi, Adi, and Oli).
Olaf was often overlooked by his peers and superiors while growing up due to his quiet and timid nature; it wasn’t until after WW2 started certain people took notice of his skills and made him in charge over his older brothers in running a unit of soldiers involved with the Occult.
It was towards the end of the war when he received his nickname “The Black Skull” when he casted a spell to defeat an entire battalion of Russian soldiers at the cost of his brothers’ lives, leaving black burn scars on his face.
Being found wounded by US troops, Olaf served time under American authority contributing his knowledge to defeating the Russians during the Cold War; it was at this time he met his wife Ida and had Heinrich.
As years passed, Ida’s desire for a daughter grew - which led to the unexpected birth of the new incarnation of Death whom Heinrich affectionately named Richard (he wanted a baby brother instead of the sister his parents hoped for); Ida’s disgust for Richard boiled over to the point she left the family for an American soldier and left the country with him (leading to the birth of Sabrina, the Kasper Brothers’ younger half-sister).
Olaf doted on Heinrich as the oldest son & heir, but treated Richard poorly and called him the reason why his wife left (he also despised how much Richard resembles Ida).
Since Heinrich gave up his birthright as heir, Olaf has been even more rough with Richard and insists he marries before he reverts back to being Death permanently.

Every three months the Enchantress academy in Copenhagen hosts a debutant to demonstrate the progression of their students’ magical abilities to their families and close friends; it’s also an opportunity for young Enchantresses to meet with future potential spouses since dating is prohibited (Enchantresses can date and marry after graduation sometime around their 21st birthdays).
Being a Wicca (the other class of Witch that’s rare due to being hunted down from witch hunts; unlike Enchantresses, they’re unable to cast spells without using potions) and having a life curse prevents Sigrid from living to adulthood makes many look at her as “primative”, “undesirable”, and “worthless” despite her beauty (her childhood crush Sebastian “Batty” admitted this fact to Sigrid’s son Johannes on the anniversary of her expulsion from the academy when her secret romance with Richard was revealed).
In recent debutants, her mother Aina has been inviting Richard over to escort and watch over Sigrid; his presence not only has surprised academy faculty (he’s Europe’s most deadliest Reaper and member of the notorious Kasper Family), but also raised suspicions about his intentions being with Sigrid aisde from the fact he’s been sent to collect her soul (Richard’s one of occult society’s most eligible bachelors as the heir of the Kasper bloodline).

His overall existence as deity is over 350,000 years old and is quite a hoarder when it comes to obtaining souls (punishment for wandering souls is being crushed out of existence by his hands; wandering souls also have the tendency to transform into rogue monsters, adding to the usual work of Reapers).
As a human, nobody (except family) knows exactly how old Richard is - he’s at least 8 years older than Sigrid (~23), most likely over twice her age (~36), but definitely younger than 40 (the age he supposedly “died”, which also happens to be their son’s current age).
Most also assume it’s his job as a doctor is why he constantly travels abroad; in reality it’s Fate Herself telling him which souls he needs to collect himself (otherwise Richard is either practicing general medicine at Kiel or conducting research for cures from diseases caused by curses at Copenhagen).

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted one of these…
• Because Sigrid is a Wicca unable to cast spells without an activation potion, her Enchantress schoolmates target her knowing she can’t retaliate (they would also steal & shatter her potion bottles and slash her bicycle tires).
Her mother Aina usually treats her wounds when she returns home from school, but this one time she had an appointment & asked Richard to watch over the flower shop.
What really pisses him off the most is people attacking others who are defenseless (he broke off his engagement with his ex because she was abusive to his sister-in-law & her children); seeing Sigrid’s face covered up with cuts & bruises was more than enough to trigger his desire to hunt down those who hurt her.
• Regardless whether he’s human or Death, Richard is known for his vengeful temper - he takes souls without warning, and leaves behind a bloody scene to warn monsters & humans alike that he doesn’t mess around.
Knowing this, Sigrid often has to plead with her boyfriend before he gets too haughty & blinded with rage for her sake.
(Kasper men are infamous for being extremely protective of their family members & lovers, the only trait the occult community as a whole admires about the Kaspers)
• It’s not often Freyja gets time off with her husband.
Because she’s the wife of a Reaper, there’s an occasional monster nearby targeting her; what the monster often doesn’t know is that Freyja’s the daughter of an occult weapons maker & can fight almost as well as Johannes.
Of course, sometimes it’s only just the press poaching for shots of her with her elusive man.
• When all 3 generations are gathered together, there’s serious trouble amongst the world of the mythical & occult.
Johannes doesn’t like having to work with his father Richard/Death due to personal issues, plus he does his best not to involve his son Cedrick for Freyja’s sake.
Death can only be summoned by his direct blood-relatives for help (father, nephew, niece, son, and grandson).

The whole family filming an episode of “FLASH FASHION” - Freyja’s TV show that’s like a combination of “PROJECT RUNWAY” and “IRON CHEF”:
A set of three contestants have to make a fashion item with unconventional materials based on an assigned theme with a 24-hour time limit.
It’s not often Freyja has her son Cedrick and husband Hr. Dr. Kasper on screen with her (for privacy reasons and work schedules), but when they do, they use their pseudonyms (Cedrick’s is “Magnus” and Johannes-Faustuz’s is “Jonah-Fritz”).
They only show up for the occasional family, couples, children, educational, or medical themed competitions; if permitted, they can either assist the contestants in their tasks or participate with Freyja and her cousin Einar as guest judges.

Death is normally in his skeletal form, but every 500-1,000 years Fate allows him to become human only for a limited amount of time by fusing his essence to an unborn stillborn fetus (a soulless shell practically) and growing up to early adulthood; he’s been “reborn” mostly within the Kasper Family since he’s fond of their dark reputation and “Odin’s Eye”.
Starting at age 21-22 (when the human skeleton is fully fused) he starts being able to transform back and forth from his fleshy self into his true skeletal form; however, with each transformation he looses a little bit of his flesh from the inside out until nothing remains inside his torso and is proclaimed dead (basically it’s like Tuberculosis - he’ll cough up blood and pieces of organs when he’s back to being human).
Richard was actually his longest living incarnation due to better nutrition, healthcare, and preservation methods compared to earlier eras (prior times he couldn’t live past 23).
Richard died when he was about the same age his son Johannes-Faustuz is right now, which is why many wonder if he’ll become just like his father or live twice as long being half Deity.
Death can be summoned by his descendants at anytime and can obtain human form up to two weeks when assisting with killing god-tier monsters.

Richard’s fashion-sense is firmly stuck mostly in the 1970s, but he’s been slowly upgrading his wardrobe to the 1980s since meeting Sigrid (their story arc is set circa early to mid 1980s).
As for his skeletal form, he often transforms into Death whenever there’s a marked soul he has to personally collect for Fate Herself; to see Richard as Death means one will most likely die, but occasionally he’ll be merciful and spare his victims for another time (hence “a brush with Death”).
But the transformation takes a toll on his lifespan and health condition as a human, most of his incarnations living on average for 23 years (this was Death’s longest living incarnation due to better healthcare, treatments, and preservation methods over time - which adds to the mystery of how old he was and exactly what age did he live up to).
Sigrid has seen Richard as Death in occasions, and was initially frightened by his raw appearance; but over time she grew used to it and was fully accepting when it was finally time for her soul to be collected.

I had people thinking Richard is Sigrid’s father, but he’s not (Samuel Jörgensen is her father, who happened to be Denmark’s most powerful Warlock at the time).
He’s Death in human form for a limited time as a member of the Kasper Family (he’s an incarnation given a new body when a soulless stillborn child was born into the family he chooses).
His current incarnation isn’t quite old enough to be her father (he’d had to be a young teenager if so, making him more like an older brother or cousin - especially with Sigrid’s mother Aina initially treating him like if he’s a son; it also doesn’t help that he has very light blond hair that’s almost a silvery white, making him look old), but as an entity Death is hundreds of thousands years old.
Sigrid’s life curse is what made Fate send him to observe her and wait for the moment he can take her soul; but due to circumstances, Richard has grown fond of Sigrid and felt pity for her not being able to live a full life (Sigrid also slowly developed feelings for Richard despite knowing he’s her assigned Reaper and a member of the Kasper Family the occult community looks down at due to their checkered history).
Johannes (Hr. Dr. Kasper) is the result of their taboo relationship, and he’s not very fond of the fact his mother was so young nor happy people expect him to be just as powerful as his father (he’s only half of whatever Death is as an entity).

Tricia / Summer
Patricia “Tricia” Williams is Tyrone’s older sister’s daughter whom he took in when she was 16 (his sister died from a drug overdose).
Initially she was difficult with her uncle and his family, but after awhile she grew close with her aunt Asia - leading her to getting a job alongside her aunt at the family’s salon.
Tricia loves sports, especially playing Volleyball; being a top player in High School lead to getting a sports scholarship for university.
But Tricia isn’t very keen on studying and keeping up with her grades, putting her in a predicament: she needs to get her GPA up or else she looses her scholarship (she already taken Biology 101 twice, failed Algebra three times, and barely passed English).
Being in Biology 101 multiple times has caught the attention of her professor Vinnie DeValeur, both out of academic concern and attraction; but since he’s not always present at the university, his substitute Hr. Dr. Kasper has been notified about her situation - and he also happens to be a coworker of her uncle Tyrone.
As a remedy, Hr. Dr. Kasper has assigned her tutoring sessions with his son Cedrick over her constant trips to the mall with her BFF Carmen Rodriguez (the younger sister of Officer Granger).
Tricia isn’t fond of Johannes (or Cedrick), but in occasion she does appreciate having someone else to rely on whenever her uncle or aunt isn’t available to drive and cheer her on for Volleyball matches.

The Ströms descend from Viking royalty and occult weapons makers who fell out of favor when they refused to convert to Christianity in the 900s; only starting in the 1960s the Ström family slowly regained their wealth and reputation within the occult community - thus making Erik in charge of STRÖM CORPORATIONS & INDUSTRIES as the oldest of three sons.
Erik makes occult weapons alongside his daughter and four nephews (Ragnar, Werner, Einar, and Gunnar) at the family estate based in Stockholm.
Though he’s very doting towards his only child Freyja and grandson Cedrick, Erik is still disappointed with her choosing Hr. Dr. Kasper as her partner; Erik (like most other prestigious families within the occult community) dislikes the Kaspers mainly because of their murky past being involved with notorious events in history (and that his wife Sonja was shook from her broken betrothal to Heinrich Kasper - it took two years before she finally accepted his marriage proposal; Sonja was also a patient of Richard Kasper’s who was trying to cure her of a troll’s petrification curse).
Whenever he’s visiting Kiel or Los Angeles, he and Johannes would be seen throwing punches and insults at each other until Freyja steps in with a glare and battle ax (Cedrick actually enjoys watching them fight, eager to learn his father’s and grandfather’s signature moves).
Erik still hopes Cedrick would join him alongside Freyja and her cousins as an occult weapon-smith, but seeing Cedrick happy as a Junior Reaper made Erik more determined to forge the best scythes in the occult market.

Dr. Kasper as her partner; Erik (like most other prestigious families within the occult community) dislikes the Kaspers mainly because of their murky past being involved with notorious events in history (and that his wife Sonja was shook from her broken betrothal to Heinrich Kasper - it took two years before she finally accepted his marriage proposal; Sonja was also a patient of Richard Kasper’s who was trying to cure her of a troll’s petrification curse).
Whenever he’s visiting Kiel or Los Angeles, he and Johannes would be seen throwing punches and insults at each other until Freyja steps in with a glare and battle ax (Cedrick actually enjoys watching them fight, eager to learn his father’s and grandfather’s signature moves).
Erik still hopes Cedrick would join him alongside Freyja and her cousins as an occult weapon-smith, but seeing Cedrick happy as a Junior Reaper made Erik more determined to forge the best scythes in the occult market.
