#happymothersday!👩👧👦 Here’s a quick little doodle for the meantime: No matter how much he grows up, Cedrick will always be Freyja’s baby boy. — #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #mother #son #mothersday

Normally Sigrid would be pissed at Richard asking those kind of questions (she’s not very good with English, she still had feelings for her childhood crush at the time, and the last one was asked because he wanted her to snap back), but something serious came up: Her father unexpectedly came to visit her mother’s shop, which almost never happens. (Richard also looks upset because he hates seeing Sigrid sad, and he’s a little jealous that she still likes Batty despite how he mistreated her since they were children) - Sigrid had a non-existent relationship with her father Samuel, afraid of seeing him not only because he was a powerful Warlock (the most powerful one in Denmark at the time), but also because he cursed her out of spite and shame - he didn’t want a Wicca as a daughter, especially as his firstborn child. He had hoped she was an Enchantress when Aina was expecting, but after she was born and didn’t express the distinct Enchantress trait of sparkling eyes by her first birthday, Samuel placed a life curse absorbing most of Sigrid’s lifespan before Aina caught him and intervened; she immediately packed a bag with her essentials, scooped up their daughter in her arms, and left him behind distraught (Samuel still loved Aina and wanted to try having another child, hoping next time would either be an Enchantress or Warlock). Aina raised Sigrid on her own while Samuel remarried and had a son soon afterwards (her stepmother was the academy’s headmistress, and her younger half-brother Torborn eventually became a powerful Warlock himself). Since cursing her, Samuel anxiously waited for Sigrid’s death to completely rid his connection with her; he was perplexed why she was still alive for some time, especially knowing his daughter’s assigned Reaper was from the infamous Kasper Family known for inducing tragic deaths. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #couple #malecharacter #femalecharacter #frauv8_ocs #blue #yellow #brown #pink #white #comic
Kinda a redraw of a pic from 2019 (check last slide)… It’s a bit messy and sketchy, but much more colorful - especially with Cedrick’s new halftone hairstyle. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalart #originalcharacterart #frauv8_ocs #teenboy #malecharacter #skeletonsweater #skeleton #ribsweater #bones #bowlcut #curtainbangs #glasses #fashion #black #white #grey #gray #pink #blue #green #flowers

The dreaded Daylight Savings Time is among us… Like CK here, I don’t do well losing time for sleep -I’ll constantly yawn so much that my eyes gets teary, and I’ll be more jumpy and tense than usual. Hr. Dr. Kasper finally found the source of all the random neighing happening at night in the backyard - it was a little abandoned eight-legged Sleipnir colt! It’s not known how long Søren will stay with the Kaspers, but he’s turning into a troublemaker eating Freyja’s miniature golden apples and other garden plants - but at the same time, he’s a new playmate for Fritz and Frl. Flicka; eventually when he gets much bigger, Søren would most likely be sent to Freyja’s family in Sweden where he’ll have more space to run around. Hr. Dr. Kasper’s getting ready to bake and send off his annual supply of Christmas cookies back to his grandmother Aina and aunt Yoko, and baking some extra for the hospital to celebrate the holidays and his birthday at work. It’s 22-02-22! And it feels like the world is about to blow up like Cedrick’s phone…📱 (We still have a pandemic to worry about, and then Russia just couldn’t keep his hands off Ukraine… 😒) - Lately I’ve been doodling my OCs with their phones to use as “filler images” for reminders, and so far people are entertained (you never know which one I’ll pick, lol). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #chibi #chibistyle #animestyle #mangastyle #teenboy #glasses #bowlcut #cellphone #black #white #green #yellow #red #blue #lineart

Kaspers usually don’t like cats because they often chase away spirits, small mythical creatures, and souls that need capturing (why they normally have dogs), but cats are drawn to them and show them affection despite their antics. Hr. Dr. Kasper grew up around Hedy and her kittens, and his wife Freyja’s family are known to own Norwegian Forest Cats, so he has a higher tolerance for cats compared to most Reapers; Klimt was his son Cedrick’s birthday gift, but for whatever reason, chose Faustuz as his main human and constantly begs for attention from him. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacter #man #cat #pink #table #chair #sitting

Another #sketchdump of Richard and Sigrid. • Richard often helps Sigrid with her schoolwork; occasionally when he’s out shopping for work supplies and books, he might find a couple notebooks/journals/diaries his girlfriend would like using since they’re plain and have blank pages for her to doodle notes. • Aina loved seeing her daughter Sigrid and Richard finally becoming a couple; they stayed together despite the academy’s strict rules about dating, Richard’s true identity as Death and background as a foreigner, and the large age gap. It was when the timer from Sigrid’s curse went off Richard was forced to separate from her, tearing out her soul only days after she gave birth to their son. • Since the arcade owner is a close friend of her mother’s, Sigrid is allowed to take home some of his apples. She’s tall for a teenage girl, but not quite tall enough to reach the top branches of his tree; both she and the arcade owner are appreciative whenever Richard is around to pick the apples hardest to reach (Batty, on the other hand, gets upset seeing a stranger helping his father when he has time to help himself). • Richard often gets playful when showing his affections for Sigrid; she’ll get embarrassed if it’s too much affection, but gets upset if he’s not around for long periods of time - if he’s gone for too long, Sigrid would start crying and worry that he had been injured during his travels or had reverted back to his true form as Death Himself. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #comic

Richard normally would enjoy getting attention from Sigrid, but being naked and covered with countless Tatzelwurm bites and scrapes, he feels extremely vulnerable - making him embarrassed, sensitive, and jumpy around her. Sigrid was also not initially happy dealing with him locked up in the bathroom whenever she needed to freshen up before working in her mother’s flower shop; she quickly got used to seeing a nude Richard and helped heal his wounds with sample ointments she and Aina made with their plants. Richard hates dealing with Tatzelwurms because of how vicious and destructive they are; he also hates them because he always ends up being a bloody mess after getting rid of them - which led to the invention of his Tatzelwurm repellent. Since he’d be covered and dripping with so much blood, Aina would force him to strip down and rinse off before being kept in the family bathroom to prevent him from staining her rugs inside her flower shop; at the meantime Aina would wash his clothes and hang them out, hoping they’ll be dry before Sigrid returned home from school. But sometimes Sigrid was back before his clothes were done and he was still disinfecting his wounds out in the backyard, which led to awkward moments between the two - especially before they were officially a couple. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #comic

This was sitting in my Drafts for almost a whole entire YEAR! 😵💫 But it’s Holiday Season again, so now’s a good time to post it (then archive it, lol). It’s Papa Kasper dressed up as a Heavy Metal Rocker Christkind.🤘🎸👑 [original 2021 commentary below] If Papa Kasper had his take on the Christkind, he’d be wearing all black and gold like a rockstar, lol. (And Jesus totally looks like a metal rocker too… or hippie… huh…🤔) Despite being stoic, academic, and very by-the-book most of the time, Faustuz does has a bit of a bad boy 1980s-1990s metal rocker that occasionally wants to be channel out (the long hair and singing karaoke with his cousin Hansel kinda hint at it). Even though their son Cedrick put a lot of effort into making this outfit, there’s no way Mama is passing up the opportunity to have her husband all dolled up in a traditional holiday costume for charity. I still can’t find a definite reason for the sex swap after lots of research - it’s a bit confusing how Christkind over centuries turned from a baby boy into a grown woman wearing a white and gold dress and huge crown; even vintage cards are often androgynous in regards to Christkind’s sex (just a blonde child with angel wings, white robe, and halo holding an evergreen branch and sack of gifts and often being followed by a deer), but the word “Kind” is gender neutral so… I guess it makes sense in that way? 😞😖😣😫 — #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #woman #comic #christkind #holidays #christmas #xmas #xmasプレゼント #weihnachten🎄
Something I just learned and just happened to be coincidental while making this - St. Lucia’s Day is today.🕯 I was doing research on St. Lucia’s Day mainly because it would be something Freyja’s family would observe (she’s Swedish), but also how similar St. Lucia looks in comparison with Christkind (which was original focus of these notes). Of the two, St. Lucia wins with the more interesting backstory - though Christkind has quite a story from being the literal Jesus into the blonde angelic lady who gives gifts and often tops Christmas trees. Swipe one page over and we get to see Papa Kasper dressed up as Christkind for charity (if he had it his way, he’d wear all black instead of white, lol). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #notes #stlucysday #stluciasday #stluciaday #christmas #candles #christkind #december13 #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters ##frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #femalecharacter #girl #woman #man #comic #red #white #yellow
