A break from the “Meerjungfrau” series (I’m finally able to remember how to spell “Mermaid” in German - yay!). Time for something cute and fun. - May 3rd is #twodifferentcoloredshoesday. 👞👟 And Cedrick is really proud of himself, lol. Papa Kasper is either impressed that his son actually made an effort to wear the same kind of shoes, or is ashamed seeing his son still unable to dress himself properly. - Cedrick is always in a hurry and tired, so most of the time he forgets to check his socks and shoes before putting them on. Often it’s a slipper on one foot and a laced shoe on the other because he only has time to tie laces for one shoe. - Me? I used to have mismatched socks all the time (like one pink and one green). But after buying only black and grey socks in only one brand in recent years, it saves you a lot of time in the morning not thinking about what color to wear - especially when they don’t show anyway. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #characters #chibi #originalcharacters #animestyle #mangastyle #malecharacters #blond #glasses #halftone #blue #red #shoes #adidasshoes #nationaltwodifferentcoloredshoesday

A little bit late posting this pic up since it was made yesterday and it’s May now. I’ve been feeling a bit more tired than usual the last several days. - I’m still figuring out how to work with the mummified jarred mermaid for MerMay. Going back to the early 1990s when Freyja and Johannes Faustuz were kids. They were childhood sweethearts with Freyja as the prettiest girl in the class while Faustuz was the nerdy geek and teacher’s pet. - As an avid bookworm herself, Freyja would always sneak up behind Faustuz to see what new book he was reading; she would often look over his head and/or shoulder to read some of his books since she was so much taller. After a few years, Faustuz would grow up so tall that Freyja would slip in between his arms not only for an embrace but also to read along with him. Because of their love of literature, they named their son Cedrick after the main character of “Little Lord Fauntleroy” (different spelling to emphasize the name’s meaning). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #characters #originalcharacters #animestyle #mangastyle #femalecharacter #malecharacter #characterart #blond #redhair #redhead #boy #girl #children #kids #readingbook #glasses #halftone #blue #orange #pink #white

Reminds me how my dad, younger brother, and I would be like whenever we get our photos taken, lol. None of us are big on smiles unless we have to. 😑 And again, the black and white with stripes and dots... I just really like drawing stuff only in black with patterns and minimal colors a lot! - It’s Johannes Faustuz with his older cousins Hansel/Hanzo and Hannah/Hana, both he was raised with as if they were his older brother and sister when he was orphaned as a baby. Like all close relatives, these Kaspers are alike but different at the same time. Both Hansel and Hannah are half Asian (just like me and my brother) which is why Faustuz sticks out amongst them, aside from being the tallest and youngest of the three. Both Faustuz and Hannah are a bit on the serious side, something they picked up from Yoko Kasper (Hansel and Hannah’s mother). All three ended up wearing glasses just like Heinrich Kasper, and Faustuz almost looks just like him except for the long hair and being slimmer built more like his father Richard (younger brother of Heinrich). And of course, all three are named alike: Hansel (Hanzo to his Japanese family), Hannah (spelled Hana in Japanese), and Johannes Faustuz (Faustuz is his mother’s maiden name; he hates being called “Hans” like his cousin and insists being called Faustuz, Johannes Faustuz, or Herr Doktor Kasper instead). Thus why people close to the Kasper family often say “there’s too many Hans in the house”. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #family #siblings #cousins #black #white #blackandwhite_art #blackandwhite #mangastyle #stripes #dots #glasses #shirt #frauv8_ocs

It’s another #drawthisinyourstyle challenge pic, this time by @abbirelly and @artezaofficial. Since she does her work with traditional media, I felt like I should do the same. She’s a popular artist, and I didn’t use digital media so I don’t expect this pic getting much likes and views (another reason why I avoid popular #dtiys challenges - I’m not “good enough” in Instagram to get attention). I also included WIP pics, a page of the media I used to make this, and the original challenge pic just to show that I didn’t intend for this character to look like my own female Elf character Sigrid. - Comment below to let me know what other drawing challenges you want me to do - you can even suggest your own. — #abbiredraw #redraw #drawing #crayolamarkers #platinumpreppy #ecolinebrushpen #unipencil #mastermarkers #traditionalmedia #femaleelf #yellowflowers #purplehair #yellow #purple #green #pink #orange

And I still ended up drawing boy tears.🤦🏻‍♀️ - Yes, the source of Tricia’s bottle of Boys’ Tears is poor Cedrick. She mercilessly picks on him for various reasons, the main one because she thinks he’s an annoying dork and wants nothing to do with him despite her uncle Tyrone trying to pair the two of them together. Cedrick doesn’t think of Tricia as a romantic interest since she’s a few years older than him, but does want to get along to avoid conflicts - he often stuck tutoring her for high school exit exams, if not babysitting Queenie in her place. Cedrick also wants to try being friends with more people close to his own age since he’s a wunderkind who grew up with little to no socializing with other kids. - Aside from the tears, Cedrick has his usual red stud earrings and is wearing something #adidas. He also has his current bowlcut haircut, and his eyes are odd-colored (his right eye is a tiny bit more green than the left eye). - I included the #lineart for anyone who wants to color this pic - just tag me @frauv8 and #colorthis. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #teenboy #boy #black #white #blond #blackandwhite_art #halftone #blackandwhite #bowlcut #mangastyle #adidasshirt

Happy 1st Day Of Spring!🌸 - Like last year, Cedrick’s eyes are red from allergies. This year, Cedrick has glasses like his father, an even bowlcut, and more of a younger teen look at age 13-14 rather his usual 15-16. Another small detail about his character design might be more noticeable now with limited coloring: he has odd-eyes. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #teenboy #boy #skeleton #glasses #black #white #blackandwhite_art #blackandwhite #cosmosflower #flowers #bowlcut #mangastyle

All six coworkers in one group shot, posing like a hospital drama. 😅 - Left to Right: • Dr. Leyon DeValeur - Geneticist; Director in charge of the hospital who randomly shows up when least expected; at first glance he looks clueless, but he’s very sharp and has a good memory. • Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper - Oncologist; protege to the Director, always enforcing the rules and can be a bit of a stiff; he can always be seen with a white “no.1 Dad” mug full of black coffee. • Dr. Tyrone Williams - Pediatrician; a bit of a prankster and a kind-hearted guy who tries his best; he enjoys working around the Kaspers, liking both their company and their snack-filled office. • Hr. Dr. Cedrick Kasper - Surgeon/Lab Assistant; a wunderkind working alongside his father who can be a bit of a hothead and brat; being a teenager, people often don’t take him seriously which adds to his frustration. • Dr. Fatima Khan - Cardiologist; a gentle, calm woman of few words; she enjoys mentoring younger colleagues and comforting patients feeling discouraged. • Kimiko Abe - Nurse/Nurse’s Assistant; the newcomer who’s very timid and klutzy; she develops a big crush on the older Hr. Dr. Kasper despite knowing he has a wife who’s very much alive. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #chatacters #characterdesign #doctors

Finally drew something in my #moleskinesketchbook this time, and I finally tested out a 5 pack of #ecolinebrushpens I bought some time ago. - It’s a different #character looking a bit 1970s retro, and the only OC that immediately comes to mind who could of been alive at that time as a college student is Leyon DeValeur. — #moleskine ##sketchbook #drawing #sketchbookdrawing #ink #inkart #inkdrawing #markers #markerart #markerdrawing #m_artcollection #kuretake #kuretakebrushpen #malecharacter #originalcharacter #glasses

#happypiday all you geeks! 🤓 To celebrate this year, here’s a cute pic of my own geeky character enjoying his slice of blueberry pie (yes, that’s Papa Kasper as a really little boy, not Cedrick). - Back when I was a wee high schooler, my Math teacher would have pies for us on Pi Day (3/14). My favorite is apple streusel, also known as Dutch apple pie here in America. I also like banana cream and custard pie, but with lactose sensitivity, it’s not a good idea to eat too much of either. 😅 - So what’s your favorite pie? Fantasy Concept: The Original Kasper Clan - Richard and Sigrid with their newborn son Johannes Faustuz. - Richard was originally Death, the goddess Fate’s right hand man in maintaining global order. He grows bored one day, wanting to roam the world to study its inhabitants for fun and curiosity. Fate grants him his wish, giving him a mortal disguise as a traveling quack doctor of “mostly Elf and some Human” ancestry. Most of his medical wares do work - just not as immediate as people hope, which often leads to confrontations and beatings leaving him often penniless. - Sigrid is the daughter of the Elf King Spergeon Faustuz. She was born a Blood Elf, a rare genetic anomaly in which instead of creating blooming flowers of life she grows mushrooms of death; her hair is also jet black instead of the platinum blond all normal Elves have. She was spared death at the behalf of her mother and brother with the condition that she would never marry and have any children. - Sigrid accidentally meets Richard in the forest as he transforms from his skeletal form into his flesh form. He thought about killing her for seeing him in his immortal form, but immediately spares her when she offers him a rare poisonous mushroom from her hand. They meet again at a night market where he was beaten and robbed of his goods; Sigrid takes him into her father’s palace out of pity so he can heal. The Elf King grows wary of his daughter’s affection for the mysterious man, exiling her after seeing the two share a kiss. Richard takes Sigrid to his newly founded village with other exiled Elves and Human-Elf hybrids for safety. The pair marry and eventually have a son together, founding the Kasper Clan in charge of the village. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #autodesksketchbook #family #motherfatherson #father #mother #son #child #baby #infant #fantasyart #fantasy #elf #characterdesign

Back to the Kasper Fantasy Concept with Johannes Faustuz, who’s looking a little bit more skimpier than usual showing off his anatomy. 😅 - This time I made his doctor’s mask and hat simpler by removing the goggles and strands of beads. His hair looks longer without it tied in half, and his ears are slightly pointed to indicate he’s part Elf (his mother is a Blood Elf, a mutated version of a normal Elf). He still has round glasses, a Death Scythe, and his distinctive clan marks (mainly the Black Skull to show he’s a descendant of Death himself). Faustuz holds a poisonous mushroom in his hand, something Necromancer Mages like himself collect for food alongside insects, slimes, vermin, plants, zombie flesh, and other types of stuff most think of as disgusting and toxic. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadart #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #drawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #character #mage #necromancer #fantasyart #magehat #plaguedoctor #plaguedoctormask #mushroom #blackhat #blondhair #scythe

Just a quick random #doodle #comic. - I plan to redraw the last panel by itself for a Valentine’s Day pic. I don’t think I’d draw what his wife sent him - let’s leave that to imagination, lol. — #digitaldrawing #digitaldoodle #originalcharacter #malecharacter #onthephone

I guess I wanted to draw one of my characters running? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I could of added a background, but my last attempt making one wasn’t the best, so I’m keeping it plain and simple. - I have Hr. Dr. Kasper wearing round clear-framed #glasses instead of his usual oversized aviators. As for shoes, Johannes Faustuz is wearing his favorite solid black #pumasuede shoes instead of loafers. His hair is loosely tied back as preferred, and he wears a plain pink shirt. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalcharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #blond #labcoat #doctor #tablet #blackshoes #pinkshirt #longhair #running

I felt like drawing another cute pic of a little Cedrick and his mother Freyja wearing matching outfits. Just out of curiosity, which version of Cedrick is your favorite: as a baby, a kid, or as a teenager? Drawing him as a teenager makes him more fluid with the times and he was a young adult in his original 2005 design, but he’s definitely cuter as a very young kid. - The #fjallraven bag Freyja is holding is based off of my own birch green mini version. Cedrick’s #adidas shirt is based off a retro sweater from the early 90s (seriously - everything I wore as a toddler in the 90s is coming back with vengeance). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #characterart #originalcharacters #motherson #woman #mother #son #boy #child #toddler #holdinghands #walking #bludress #greenbag #redshoes #redhead #redhair #blond

#drawthisinyourstylechallenge for anyone who wants one. I also included the line art for anyone who wants to color Cedrick in for a #colorthis instead. Anyone else thinking the colors reminds you of a Crayola crayon box? Just me? Probably just me. 😭 - I’m not popular enough for anyone to really notice me making these. Poor Cedrick stuck taking care of Tobias and Queenie while Carmen and Tricia skip out from babysitting duty. (I know the feeling - I used to watch over other people’s kids when I was a youngster. Most kiddos were good, but a few did make me want to tear my hair out in frustration.) - Couldn’t decide whether I wanted #glasses or no glasses on Cedrick, so I have both versions. As usual, Cedrick is wearing something with “the brand with the three stripes” (it’s based off an actual Adidas sweater), and still has a trendy #bowlcut. Tobias has a #buzzcut hairstyle, while Queenie has #afropigtails as usual. - Cedrick is often stuck being a “boysitter” and doesn’t like being around other kids despite being a kid himself. As for Tobias and Queenie, they love being around Cedrick since he’s often much nicer to them compared to their older siblings. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #sketchbookautodesk #originalcharacters #malecharacter #children #teenager #teenageboy #boys #girl #babysitter #babysitting #sweaters #purple #green #pink

The #jwandersonheartstripeshirt returns! ❤️ Felt like drawing a cute pic of my OCs Hr. Dr. Johannes Faustuz Kasper and his wife Freyja Ström since #valentinesday2019 is coming around the corner. They’re just so fun to draw together. 🤓😘 - It’ll be my first one since I’ve gotten married, and it’s going to be my dad’s 60th birthday too. - It’s been pouring down buckets lately in SoCal the past few days that I really don’t want to leave my apartment for my weekend. 😕🌧☔️ But it also means I’m going to be drawing a lot more as Mother Nature decides to clear the weather up, so who knows what I’ll post up next. Repost. Just wanted to reorder some stuff around. — “ •Fantasy Concept: Wandering Spirits and Souls - aka: Specters •Specters are mostly harmless remainders of people who died suddenly and unknowingly. They are often souls of young children, and are naturally drawn to Necromancer Mages out of both curiosity and necessity to move onto the Next Realm. •As a child, Cedrick’s only friends were Specters, often playing Hide and Seek with them. Being a descendant of Death, Specters are willing to protect him once summoned to battle. Once they fulfill their task, Cedrick sends the summoned Specters back to the Next Realm for eternal rest from the living world with Death. “ — #pencil #pen #marker #whitegelpen #kuretake #sakuragellyroll #tombow #staedtler #pilotfrixion #tombowdualbrushpens #hobbycolourmarkers #sketchbook #drawing #handdrawn #dottednotebook #lemome_notebooks #fantasy #originalcharacter #malecharacter #boy #child #ghosts #skulls
