The Cipactli has extra mouths located in its upper arm joints, making it dangerous when reaching over it.
Since being part fish, its weak spot is its neck where gills are; however it’s not easy to get nearby without getting bit or caught in a neck lock.

The Cipactli is just as tall as him at about 200cm/6’6”, but weighs twice if not triple Hr. Dr. Kasper’s weight in pure muscle.
No way Granger could of taken it down herself, even if her mother and younger sister came in to help out, because it’s so tall and massive.
Thus why Granger brought Hr. Dr. Kasper to fight it.

Der Sensenmann - aka Death Himself, the OG Grim Reaper - aka Richard Kasper.
Granger works alongside Death during the Dia de Los Muertos season as his secretary keeping the number of souls in check as they crossover; she’s never seen him in his human form in the last 600 years (her mother Yolanda is a Native American shaman and her father Humberto is a Spanish warlock, both able to live centuries by stealing lifespans from rogue creatures and passing their skills down to their children) so seeing him briefly restored with a summoning spell is a shock to her - especially when he looks like one of the foreign Reapers she sees as invaders on her turf.
While restored, Death/Richard takes form at the age he would of been if he was still alive (his current incarnation was born in the 1950s, making him look like he’s pushing into his 70s).
Despite looking more elderly, he’s just as strong as he was during his prime prior to leaving the living world.

Wunderkind‘s Notes: Cipactli
“An ancient Mesoamerican creature that is part fish and amphibian but mostly crocodile. It has no sex and feasts off the flesh of fellow creatures with its multiple mouths. Legend says one ate a foot off the Aztec god Tezcatltpoca as he created the world”.
This creature is muscular, slimy with scales, and constantly hangry.
Because of its legendary status of even attacking beings and creatures considered as deities, the Cipactli has the highest category level for a monster if it goes rogue.
Granger herself wouldn’t be enough to defeat one (she’s fast but not physically strong as a female Reaper, and her sister/Junior Reaper isn’t reliable), so she’s asking Hr. Dr. Kasper to help her (he’s just as big as one at about 200cm/6’6”).
But even Hr. Dr. Kasper has his limits with certain monsters - he’s just as powerful as his father Richard/Death, but as a human he gets tired if a fight goes on for more than 5 hours and a Cipactli can keep fighting for up to 8 before passing out from lack of food.
So Cedrick suggesting that they actually get help from the OG Grim Reaper Death Himself is not a good thing for lots of reasons (Hr. Dr. Kasper has lots of Daddy Issues, and summoning Death Himself for help means Richard showing up temporarily restored as a living human for up to 24 hours).

Though Aina loves how much he acts a lot like her daughter Sigrid, she retains some bitterness of the fact that her grandson strongly resembles his father Richard (Sigrid looks a lot like Aina, except Aina is albino - Sigrid inherited her father’s light brown hair and pale blue eyes).
Faustuz grew up loving plants, always wanting to know which ones were his mother’s favorite (his favorite flowers are cosmos and asters); Aina would also show her grandson the many places his parents would go out on dates, and even cook up the same meals she did for Sigrid and Richard.
Since living abroad at Los Angeles, Faustuz doesn’t visit and spend as much time with his grandmother as much as he used to, but the two FaceTime at least once a month and Aina sends a yearly package of custom potions and mythical plant extracts.

Inside Aina’s greenhouse where her daughter Sigrid can be found tending to the hundreds of plants growing there.
Every now and then the neighbor’s cat Hedy would make herself home to nap and bask in the sunlight amongst the plants; an even more rare sight inside the greenhouse is Sigrid’s boyfriend Richard (as the incarnation of Death, he’s afraid of killing her plants).
Richard is more likely outside the greenhouse killing Tatzelwurms and other mythical pests threatening Aina and Sigrid’s livelihood as florists and “natural herbalists”(mother and daughter don’t like it when people call them “witches”).

Richard and Sigrid sharing a quick kiss in Aina’s greenhouse; whenever they think she’s not looking, Sigrid’s mother loves popping up out of nowhere just to surprise them and try to “enhance the mood” (obviously Sigrid would get upset while Richard says “Thanks” and tries to lead Aina out of the room).

Because of Sigrid’s life curse, Aina was saddened with the fact her daughter wouldn’t live long enough to get married and have children - more so when the arcade owner’s son Batty got engaged to another girl (Aina was close friends with Batty’s father; both hoped their children would fall in love and get married).
When Richard first arrived in her flower shop, Aina was smitten with his looks and charm, immediately thinking he’d be the perfect man for her daughter despite his reputation as the youngest son of “The Black Skull of Kiel” and as a promiscuous playboy (Richard also had just broken off his engagement).
Aina knew Sigrid might not like him at first for obvious reasons (Sigrid’s heart was recently broken, instantly called Richard by his nickname “Dick” because that’s what she thought he was, and sensed he wasn’t a normal a Grim Reaper), but was surprised how quickly their relationship developed over the next year.
Aina was beyond excited when Richard and Sigrid became a couple, even more so when they were finally expecting a child.
But Aina’s view of Richard was shattered when she walked in Sigrid’s hospital room unannounced, seeing the harsh truth that he was Death all along as he pulled and held out Sigrid’s soul (Grim Reapers don’t personally remove people’s souls, just collect them up after the incident causing death occurred; only Death Himself will personally take souls that are marked by curses).
Aina is still upset about Richard not being truthful about his identity as Death and intent to take Sigrid away, but doesn’t let that anger carry over towards her grandson Johannes Faustuz despite resembling his father.

It’s Stern the Amabie, one of the Kaspers’ many creatures they’ve taken in whenever they’re in need of a home for whatever reason.
Stern was found at the backyard by the family cat Klimt, who carried her to Hr. Dr. Kasper’s desk as a “present”; she was flown there by a red-tail hawk nesting in a tree, and escaped its nest full of chicks only to fall down and nearly die from sun exposure and dehydration.
Cedrick does his best to keep all the critters happy as caretaker while his father is busy away at work; Stern doesn’t require much other than her water being changed weekly and fed fish flakes daily, but she’s known to crawl out of her fishbowl every now and then to enjoy a bath in a hot cup of tea and chat with her fellow Yōkai Junko the Hyōsube.

💀 Grim Reaper Notes 💀
As Halloween gets closer, more rogue monsters and lost souls are more abound as the boundaries between the living and dead are weakened due to the waning hours of sunlight, making it a more busy time for Reapers - often times (depending on regional holidays) Reapers may ask for extra help.
When Reapers are relocated outside their country of origin, it’s customary to wear traditional clothing to show that they aren’t native and are only allowed to work under the authority of the regional Reaper family in charge (if they’re back in Kiel where they’re from, the Kaspers wear exclusively modern Reaper clothing; occasionally they wear highly modernized versions of their traditional clothing to accommodate the hot weather in California).
The Kaspers are normally based in Germany/Scandinavia, but due to medical work they are often relocated in Southern California where another Reaper family is based.
The Rodriguez Family are often swamped during Halloween/Dia de Los Muertos, especially with their oldest daughter Granger as their current sole Reaper (Mrs. Rodriguez injured her leg after fighting a rogue jaguar spirit, while second daughter Carmen hates being a Junior Reaper under her sister, often hanging out with BFF Tricia Williams instead); because California used to be Spanish territory, it follows the logic that many countries with Latin/Romance/Slavic-based languages have female Reapers because the word “Death” is feminine and/or their Death goddesses are referred to as female.
Despite Hr. Dr. Kasper having a direct connection with Death Himself and being more experienced as a Reaper, Granger always takes the opportunity to take charge and call him “Juanito” (vaguely translates into “Cute Little Johnny” in Spanish; his first name “Johannes” is an old version of the common name “John”) whenever they work together.

Granger Rodriguez, her mother Yolanda, and younger sister Carmen are the local Reapers in the Southwestern region of the USA, but every so often they’ll ask for help from the Kaspers whenever they have work in Los Angeles (the Kaspers are normally based in Kiel and are in charge of Northern Europe and Scandinavia).
Granger’s daytime job is a LAPD officer, while Johannes Faustuz is a surgical oncologist/substitute Biology professor.
Reapers mostly focus on collecting human souls after death occurs, but a lot of times human souls transform into mythical creatures depending on circumstances; only when these creatures go rogue is when a Reaper will hunt down the monster to prevent interference with the living.

He’s mostly annoyed whenever he’s around his son-in-law Johannes Faustuz, or trying to figure out how to create a post on social media and can’t find his daughter Freyja or grandson Cedrick to help him.

Richard and Sigrid sharing a quick kiss in Aina’s greenhouse; whenever they think she’s not looking, Sigrid’s mother loves popping up out of nowhere just to surprise them and try to “enhance the mood” (obviously Sigrid would get upset while Richard says “Thanks” and tries to lead Aina out of the room).

Because of Sigrid’s life curse, Aina was saddened with the fact her daughter wouldn’t live long enough to get married and have children - more so when the arcade owner’s son Batty got engaged to another girl (Aina was close friends with Batty’s father; both hoped their children would fall in love and get married).
When Richard first arrived in her flower shop, Aina was smitten with his looks and charm, immediately thinking he’d be the perfect man for her daughter despite his reputation as the youngest son of “The Black Skull of Kiel” and as a promiscuous playboy (Richard also had just broken off his engagement).
Aina knew Sigrid might not like him at first for obvious reasons (Sigrid’s heart was recently broken, instantly called Richard by his nickname “Dick” because that’s what she thought he was, and sensed he wasn’t a normal a Grim Reaper), but was surprised how quickly their relationship developed over the next year.
Aina was beyond excited when Richard and Sigrid became a couple, even more so when they were finally expecting a child.
But Aina’s view of Richard was shattered when she walked in Sigrid’s hospital room unannounced, seeing the harsh truth that he was Death all along as he pulled and held out Sigrid’s soul (Grim Reapers don’t personally remove people’s souls, just collect them up after the incident causing death occurred; only Death Himself will personally take souls that are marked by curses).
Aina is still upset about Richard not being truthful about his identity as Death and intent to take Sigrid away, but doesn’t let that anger carry over towards her grandson Johannes Faustuz despite resembling his father.
