Seeking privacy away from prying eyes, Sigrid and Richard occasionally rendezvoused in the seclusion of the greenhouse. Despite the verdant concealment it provided, one individual they couldn’t evade amid the lush foliage was Sigrid’s mother, Aina. Ever hopeful and enthusiastic, Aina consistently attempted to catch the couple in intimate moments, nurturing dreams of them eventually marrying and starting a family.

Green with the Kasper Brothers 🟢
Green is the color I use most often for the Kaspers because of its association with many things villainous, magical, and deadly (aside from positivity, earthly, and lively- in regard to nature). The Kasper Family has a close affinity with Death, having hot tempers, twisted sense of humors, and being involved with heinous acts in the past - giving them a notorious reputation within the Occult Community as “Evil” and “Monstrous”. Despite their dark history and reputation, positive traits of the Kasper Family are their quality of work, efficiency in completing tasks, and their expression of love and commitment to their family members - especially towards their significant others (i.e. Heinrich gives Yoko a kiss on the forehead every morning waking up; Richard always left small boxed gifts for Sigrid after they spent the night together).
The layout and art style are also a bit similar to those on retro clothing pattern packs.
The stripes on Richard’s polo shirt was very tedious, but overall it was a simple pic to color.

The Illumination Spell, a formidable enchantment that even seasoned Enchantresses find challenging, poses a significant hurdle for magical practitioners due to its relentless drain on Magical Potential.
As a Wicca, a tier considered beneath Enchantresses, Sigrid faced constant scrutiny, compelled to demonstrate her magical prowess to assert her place in the esteemed Enchantress Academy. Despite her status as a Wicca, a lower-ranking Witch, Sigrid inherited her father’s formidable powers and possessed a unique mutation that granted her nearly boundless Magical Potential, requiring the consumption of Activation Potions to unleash it. This exceptional ability allowed Sigrid to surpass her peers and excel in spellcasting classes and performances at Demonstration Debutantes.
Almost four decades since her departure from the academy, Sigrid’s unmatched magical proficiency remains unparalleled among Enchantresses and Wiccas alike.

Back to the 1980s: Sigrid and Richard announcing “something important” to their family…
Shortly after their marriage, Sigrid and Richard joyfully anticipated the arrival of their first child. However, as the months passed, Sigrid’s health began to deteriorate, and she struggled to meet both her body’s needs and those of her developing baby. Richard, in his human guise, appeared genuinely concerned for his ailing wife, always rushing home from work and traveling to be by her side. Yet internally, his true identity as Death eagerly awaited the moment when Sigrid’s Life Curse would take effect, allowing him to claim her soul.
When it was revealed that they were expecting a boy, Sigrid’s mother Aina initially expressed disappointment, while other members of the Kasper family, especially the patriarch Olaf and Richard’s older brother Heinrich, were overjoyed by the prospect of an heir. As the year drew to a close, with the baby due near the holiday season, Johannes was born just before Christmas Eve, bringing joy to the entire family. However, the act of giving birth left Sigrid even more frail and pallid, triggering her Life Curse on Christmas Day. Aina, in an unfortunate turn of events, unintentionally witnessed Richard’s transformation into Death and his extraction of Sigrid’s soul as she entered with a vase of hydrangeas, her daughter’s favorite flower. From that moment on, Aina harbored deep resentment toward Richard, despite his significant role in providing Sigrid with a fulfilling life. Richard continued to live as a human for nearly four more years, raising Johannes during his travels to South Africa. However, as his body began to deteriorate and revert to its skeletal form, Johannes was sent to live with his uncle Heinrich and his family in Kiel, Germany. During summer vacations, he would stay with his grandmother Aina in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It also corresponds with Oktoberfest, so “Prost!” 🥴
This pic of my OC Johannes was made using Al, but damn it looks like an actual anime screenshot (seriously - Al is getting scary good, but there’s always something special about actual hand drawn pics by humans).

BONUS: Tyrone Williams - ATTACK ON TITAN
Tyrone Williams, known as Johannes' "Work Spouse" according to Freyja, is a pediatrician at the hospital where they both work. He's often forgetful, relying on Johannes to remind him of upcoming appointments and cover for him when he misses them. Tyrone is also Tricia's uncle, having taken her in after her mother's tragic death from a drug overdose when she was a young teenager. He's a dedicated father to his lively toddler daughter, Queenie, and a loving husband to his wife, Asia. Despite having family members with mystical abilities, Tyrone remains completely oblivious to the mystical and occult world.
Tyrone enjoys spending time with his coworkers, sharing gossip, discussing current events, and bonding over their shared interests. He's a food and American football enthusiast, frequently hosting home parties. Tyrone often finds his way into Johannes' office to indulge in homemade Apfelkuchen and a cup of matcha tea. He occasionally joins Johannes at the local sports bar, with Johannes reluctantly picking up the tab to avoid domestic complications with Asia, who prefers vegan meals and is already somewhat jealous of Tyrone's close friendship with Johannes. Although Tyrone can be klutzy, clingy, and boastful at times, he's a reliable and caring friend who goes the extra mile to uplift others, especially Johannes, whom he seeks to spend more time with as a close friend.

… and theses aren’t all of the OCs I made up in this chaotic universe featuring the Kaspers since circa 2005 - 2006. 💀
The original concept was supposed to take place in the 2030s, but we’re currently very close to that so…
Meh… It might as well be happening now (except for Richard and Sigrid’s arc set in the 1980s).

16/16: Hansel Kasper in the art style of “SHAMAN KING”
Hansel Kasper, the eldest cousin of Hr. Dr. Kasper, is the son of Heinrich and Yoko and the older brother of Hannah. Hansel's appearance breaks from the typical Kasper look, with hazel-brown eyes and nearly black hair, a stark contrast to the family's signature blond hair and heterochromia (one blue eye, one green eye). Although he didn't inherit the "Odin's Eye" trait, the role of heir skipped to his younger cousin Johannes. Nevertheless, Hansel continues the family tradition as a Grim Reaper, adopting the appearance of a Jeoseung Saja, reflecting his Korean heritage.
Initially, Hansel and Hannah didn't like have a younger sibling after their parents took in Johannes following Richard's "death." Given their significant age gap, they found it challenging to connect with a young child with unique emotional needs. However, over time, they grew closer, especially as Johannes began to resemble their beloved father and adored uncle Richard with his tall stature, fair complexion, blond hair, and heterochromia.
While Hansel didn't pursue a medical career like his uncle Richard, he settled into the nursing profession, enjoying the company of people. When Johannes returns home to Kiel from Los Angeles, Hansel joins him as his nurse, forming a medical trio of Kaspers. In his younger years, Hansel shared his uncle's appreciation for attractive women, even marrying three times, resulting in two daughters from his first two marriages: Evangeline and Elisabeth-Keiko. His third marriage ended in divorce due to infidelity and incompatible work schedules. Hansel has also shown a romantic interest in Johannes' fellow nurse Kimiko, sparking a minor rivalry with Vinnie and triggering Johannes' protective instincts.

15/16: Vinnie DeValeur in the art style of “JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE”
Vincent-Claude "Vinnie" DeValeur, the son of the hospital's director Dr. Leyon DeValeur, is a versatile professor at the University, teaching Biology, Anthropology, and Archeology. He's often called away for excavations involving occult artifacts, entrusting his classroom duties to his colleague, Hr. Dr. Johannes Kasper. Vinnie adopts an informal teaching style, usually laid-back but strict in grading exams, whereas Johannes takes a more formal and thorough approach to ensure students pass.
Vinnie's heritage traces back to "Pied-Noir" refugees, carrying profound knowledge of the occult, and speculation lingers about his true age due to ancestral ties to Iberian, North African, and Middle Eastern magic. With his charming (yet tattooed and pierced “Bad-Boy”) appearance featuring tanned skin, long dark hair, sapphire-blue eyes, and a captivating smile, Vinnie has a penchant for chain-smoking and flirting with women - even among his students - regardless of their marital status or age (such as Hannah Kasper, Freyja Ström, Tricia Williams, and Kimiko Abe). Johannes often feels uncomfortable around Vinnie due to these habits but appreciates having an experienced expert in the unnatural, sometimes sharing a drink with hospital coworker Tyrone while entertaining Vinnie's company at the local sports bar.
