I’m still obsessed with simple textures and patterns with minimal color. Oh well. I also have the #lineart for anyone to color it - just tag me @frauv8 and #colorthisinyourstyle. - This time I drew Heinrich and Richard Kasper, Johannes Faustuz’s uncle and father. And they’re dressed like the 1980s at the peak of their careers. Heinrich is the older, darker-haired brother who is a shipping company businessman; Richard is five years younger, and is (no surprise) a doctor who travels to developing countries to volunteer during disasters. The two were extremely close growing up and always had drinks together whenever they had a chance to hang out as adults. But Richard suddenly dies overseas in Africa from an infection, leaving behind an infant son (at age 25). Heinrich adopts the boy and raises him along with his own children until he passes away from lung cancer (at age 41). Because of Heinrich’s death and being inspired by the stories about Richard’s work, both Johannes Faustuz and his older cousin Hansel pursued careers in medicine; Hansel became a nurse and Faustuz an oncologist. - Faustuz and his son Cedrick are often compared to these two brothers because of their physical similarities and the fact they work closely together. Faustuz looks very much like his uncle except for the build, height, and coloring (all which he takes after his father Richard). He also wears aviators in tribute to his uncle. Cedrick takes after his grandfather, so much that relatives often accidentally call him Richard. Cedrick has one thing in common with his grand-uncle: complete heterochromia iridium, or having odd-eyes (one green, one blue). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacters #malecharacters #brothers #smoking #smokingcigarette #blackandwhiteart #mangastyle #men #mensfashion #stripes #palmleaves #glasses #shirt #necktie #suspenders #blue #green #white #black #frauv8_ocs

The Herr Doktor would not be happy to see his son sleeping on the job. Then again, the poor kid is being overworked. - Cedrick reads many anatomy books in different languages and from different time periods, but look carefully and there’s a copy of his mother’s fashion magazine in the bottom of his pile. Being tired all the time, Cedrick also doesn’t eat or drink the best food; often times he doesn’t eat at all when he’s busy (I’m guilty of doing this myself). And this wunderkind often wears a different shoe on each foot - this case a pink fuzzy slipper on his left and an Adidas superstar on his right. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #doctor #studying #books #messy #sleeping #halftone #blackandwhite_art #blackandwhite #mangastyle

Reminds me how my dad, younger brother, and I would be like whenever we get our photos taken, lol. None of us are big on smiles unless we have to. 😑 And again, the black and white with stripes and dots... I just really like drawing stuff only in black with patterns and minimal colors a lot! - It’s Johannes Faustuz with his older cousins Hansel/Hanzo and Hannah/Hana, both he was raised with as if they were his older brother and sister when he was orphaned as a baby. Like all close relatives, these Kaspers are alike but different at the same time. Both Hansel and Hannah are half Asian (just like me and my brother) which is why Faustuz sticks out amongst them, aside from being the tallest and youngest of the three. Both Faustuz and Hannah are a bit on the serious side, something they picked up from Yoko Kasper (Hansel and Hannah’s mother). All three ended up wearing glasses just like Heinrich Kasper, and Faustuz almost looks just like him except for the long hair and being slimmer built more like his father Richard (younger brother of Heinrich). And of course, all three are named alike: Hansel (Hanzo to his Japanese family), Hannah (spelled Hana in Japanese), and Johannes Faustuz (Faustuz is his mother’s maiden name; he hates being called “Hans” like his cousin and insists being called Faustuz, Johannes Faustuz, or Herr Doktor Kasper instead). Thus why people close to the Kasper family often say “there’s too many Hans in the house”. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacters #malecharacters #femalecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #family #siblings #cousins #black #white #blackandwhite_art #blackandwhite #mangastyle #stripes #dots #glasses #shirt #frauv8_ocs

Johannes Faustuz Kasper and Tyrone Williams sporting some stylish stripes. I saw this first thing on my news feed this morning, and I had to draw it.🤣 There’s only one character of mine bold enough to wear one of those awful things for the sake of fashion, and it’s Freyja in supermodel mode. And no~ way her husband (like most of us) approves. - I remember designer dirty jeans and plastic-paneled jeans being in the news for being overpriced sold-out fashion fads, and the “jeantie”/“jantie” is the next horrible thing done to denim. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipadart #ipaddrawing #drawing #originalcharacters #originalcharacterart #characters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #fashionmistake #jeantie #janties #jantie

It’s another #drawthisinyourstyle challenge pic, this time by @abbirelly and @artezaofficial. Since she does her work with traditional media, I felt like I should do the same. She’s a popular artist, and I didn’t use digital media so I don’t expect this pic getting much likes and views (another reason why I avoid popular #dtiys challenges - I’m not “good enough” in Instagram to get attention). I also included WIP pics, a page of the media I used to make this, and the original challenge pic just to show that I didn’t intend for this character to look like my own female Elf character Sigrid. - Comment below to let me know what other drawing challenges you want me to do - you can even suggest your own. — #abbiredraw #redraw #drawing #crayolamarkers #platinumpreppy #ecolinebrushpen #unipencil #mastermarkers #traditionalmedia #femaleelf #yellowflowers #purplehair #yellow #purple #green #pink #orange

My husband @massivedamageart wanted me to randomly draw one of my characters fantasy-style with a dinosaur, and this is the result. It’s April Fools Day!🤪 I’m a terrible liar, so I didn’t even attempt in making up something that’d be shocking - I’d totally would like to do a collab with my favorite sportswear, or work for any studio as a character designer. I can only dream and wish for such things, but right now, I’m focused on finally getting 150 followers here in Instagram (it’s so close, but it’ll never get there anytime soon😭). - Anyways, I finished this quickie from last night. It’s a much simpler style than my usual work, but it’s fun and colorful. Kinda like “Devilman Crybaby”. - It’s three of my OCs: Cedrick Kasper, Tricia Williams, and Carmen Rodriguez. All three are teenagers - Tricia the oldest at 18, Carmen age 17, and Cedrick is 15. Tricia and Carmen are besties in high school while Cedrick is a wunderkind working as a doctor with his father. They normally don’t hang out together, but rare occasions they do; Tricia and Carmen tend to pick on Cedrick and often leave him with their younger siblings Queenie and Tobias to take care of. - Each OC I have usually have at least one brand I paired him/her with, usually based off of where the character is from. Cedrick wears Adidas since he’s from Kiel, Germany; Tricia wears Nike being African-American; Carmen wears Vans because she’s from California. And neon is coming back in style~ (I love neon colors for clothing and accessories). And Cedrick is wearing his glasses this time, making him a bit nerdy like his father Johannes Faustuz. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterdrawing #characterdesign #adidas #nike #vans #teenagers #neoncolors #green #pink #red #blue #purple #yellow #black #sweatshirts #sportswear #shoes #boy #girls #frauv8_ocs

Quick #digitaldoodle on my iPad Pro: Cedrick, Tricia, and Carmen each wearing their favorite brand of clothing. Also, I’ve seen adverts for each of these brands supporting girls’ sports and activities recently, so... yay?😅 - I should get some sleep since I got work again... *yawn* I’ll try redrawing this another time. — #digitaldrawing #ipadprodrawing #digitalsketch #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacterdrawing #adidas #nike #vans #teenagers

Eh... Why not?😅 I had way too much fun making this with the crazy color scheme, so might as well share the fun with everyone else. It’s like every color of the rainbow was splashed on.🌈 - Tag your pic with @frauv8 #fv8_drawthisinyourstyle so I can see what you made. This time it’s a #drawthisinyourstyle of @bluebryy_pancakes OC. - I don’t do many of #drawthisinyourstylechallenge pics often because I want to do redraws of less popular ones for obviously reasons (you gotta give love to the lesser known people in Instagram). Kasper Fantasy Concept: Doctor Richard Kasper, Sigrid, and a really little Johannes Faustuz clutching a skeleton plushie. - In his mortal form as the Half-Breed Quack Doctor Richard, Death sells various traded goods and homemade medicine (that may or may not work - depends on dosage and duration) from his wooden cart located in front of the borderlands tavern. Sigrid also sells handmade goods such as knitted dolls and hand-grown mushrooms and herbs; she often takes care of the cart when Richard is gone either restocking or meeting the goddess Fate’s kill quota as Death. That leaves little Faustuz alone with his toys, often watching his parents work from a hiding spot. - There are other versions I drew: without their son, and just father and son. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #autodesksketchbook #drawing #ipadproart #ipadprodrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #originalcharacters #femalecharacter #malecharacter #characterdesign #characterart #fantasy #fantasyart #elf #child #fathermotherson #boy #family #redmushrooms #woodencart #blackrobe #skeletonplush #blackandwhite_art #blackandwhite #mangastyle #illustration
