Some skin tones are trickier than others (especially fair and dark) due to not getting so dark and having the right amount of contrast between colors - if it’s any darker, fair skin turns into medium/olive skin; if dark skin is too dark, you can’t see any important facial details.

About each drawing:
• Freyja loves using her husband’s glasses as a fashion accessory.
That’s why Johannes Faustuz has so many styles and pairs of them - and because he has so many, he always has a spare pair to see (his right green eye is nearly blind unless it’s activated).
• Faustuz doesn’t like buying new clothes if it’s avoidable, especially for expensive items (he rather spend the money for a date night with Freyja or on treats for the many creatures the family has at home).
Luckily he inherited some stuff from his father Richard that he actually likes to wear, such as watches, rings, and suits (Richard bought a few Armani suits in the 1980s to impress Sigrid).
• Freyja and Faustuz are notorious for staying out late after their dinner dates (for obvious reasons - mainly to get time away from work and their son Cedrick), often upsetting Erik when they finally get home around dawn (he’s always going to be a protective father for his daughter no matter how old she is).

(I should make a “Wunderkind’s Notes” on the creature; not sure if I’ll make this a full story - maybe just another page or two of these two Reapers working together)
Granger Rodriguez, her mother Yolanda, and younger sister Carmen are the local Reapers in the Southwestern region of the USA, but every so often they’ll ask for help from the Kaspers whenever they have work in Los Angeles (the Kaspers are normally based in Kiel and are in charge of Northern Europe and Scandinavia).
Granger’s daytime job is a LAPD officer, while Johannes Faustuz is a surgical oncologist/substitute Biology professor.
Reapers mostly focus on collecting human souls after death occurs, but a lot of times human souls transform into mythical creatures depending on circumstances; only when these creatures go rogue is when a Reaper will hunt down the monster to prevent interference with the living.

Took awhile to finish this due to being busy with work and feeling lazy/tired/uninspired the past several days.
•Sigrid likes dressing up in shorts & tanks when she’s not wearing school uniforms/dresses; when it’s nighttime she gets cold since she forgets to bring a sweater/jacket.
Since Richard appeared, he’s been lending his coats which smells like Calvin Klein Obsession (Sigrid thought he’d stink with all the monsters & souls he hunts).
•Hedy (Sigrid’s home room teacher/neighbor Mr. Vannderhassen’s cat) loves sneaking into Aina’s greenhouse for naps and visits with Odin (the neighborhood stray tomcat).
As much as Sigrid and her mother love cats, their neighbor often accuses Aina of stealing his cat and is upset seeing a another man with Sigrid.
•Richard gets calls from Aina at his office in Kiel about Tatzelwurms; they’re weasel/snake-like creatures that burrow underground & drawn to valuable crops (Aina grows flowers, shrubs, and herbs).
He’ll get bloodied with scratches and bites killing them, which leads to stains on Aina’s floors; to prevent them, she’d force Richard to strip off his clothes and rinse off all the blood before getting locked in the bathroom until the laundry was done.
•Sigrid relaxing after a doctor’s appointment; both know they’re expecting a boy but not sure if he’ll look like his mother or father (Johannes Faustuz ended up looking a lot like Richard).
•Faustuz was able to see souls when he was about 3-6 months old; one soul would be floating nearby which scared him; it was his mother’s soul Richard keeps around for sentimental reasons after removing it from Sigrid’s body (Death keeps a special collection of souls of people he loved).
•Aina has a hard time telling her grandson about his parents, esp. since it was Richard as Death who took Sigrid’s soul out; because of this, Faustuz grew up hating his father.

I still struggle a bit with skin tones, especially dark ones (medium skin tones are the easiest; fair skin tones can be tricky because if it’s too dark it pretty much becomes medium skin).
As for hair tones, blond and grey hair are actually the hardest for me - dark hair like Tricia’s are the most easiest to color.
So to say which OCs were the easiest to draw here?

Richard and Sigrid sharing a quick kiss in Aina’s greenhouse; whenever they think she’s not looking, Sigrid’s mother loves popping up out of nowhere just to surprise them and try to “enhance the mood” (obviously Sigrid would get upset while Richard says “Thanks” and tries to lead Aina out of the room).

Because of Sigrid’s life curse, Aina was saddened with the fact her daughter wouldn’t live long enough to get married and have children - more so when the arcade owner’s son Batty got engaged to another girl (Aina was close friends with Batty’s father; both hoped their children would fall in love and get married).
When Richard first arrived in her flower shop, Aina was smitten with his looks and charm, immediately thinking he’d be the perfect man for her daughter despite his reputation as the youngest son of “The Black Skull of Kiel” and as a promiscuous playboy (Richard also had just broken off his engagement).
Aina knew Sigrid might not like him at first for obvious reasons (Sigrid’s heart was recently broken, instantly called Richard by his nickname “Dick” because that’s what she thought he was, and sensed he wasn’t a normal a Grim Reaper), but was surprised how quickly their relationship developed over the next year.
Aina was beyond excited when Richard and Sigrid became a couple, even more so when they were finally expecting a child.
But Aina’s view of Richard was shattered when she walked in Sigrid’s hospital room unannounced, seeing the harsh truth that he was Death all along as he pulled and held out Sigrid’s soul (Grim Reapers don’t personally remove people’s souls, just collect them up after the incident causing death occurred; only Death Himself will personally take souls that are marked by curses).
Aina is still upset about Richard not being truthful about his identity as Death and intent to take Sigrid away, but doesn’t let that anger carry over towards her grandson Johannes Faustuz despite resembling his father.

It seems like a random doodle, but I can explain:
When I was watching SQUID GAME, I was like “I know I’ve seen that color of jacket…”
Yeah… it’s because I’ve drawn the same green color jacket before. 💀
It’s not exact, but pretty darn close.
(It’s also my favorite shade of green too, lol; reference on the last slide to see the original jacket I had in mind)
It’s also a similar shade of green doctors (particularly surgeons) wear to contrast with red, and obviously there’s one doctor OC who happens to wear a lot of green as part of his design…

I’ve been seeing lots of sweats, oversized shirts, baggy pants, chunky boots, and lots of plaid and corduroy that’s highly influenced by the 1990s and early 2000s on shelves for the Fall season (it’s getting a bit too close to my late childhood to my tween years; in a few years we might be back to having Emo fashion, lol).
Despite all the cozy clothes coming out, it’s still pretty warm out here in California - I can barely wear sweaters only in the morning and late night hours, otherwise it’s still too hot.
I can’t wait until it gets really cold - I’m jealous of places that are like 55F during the daytime (*looking at Scandinavia right now*).

As sweet and affectionate Klimt may be, he’s known to cause some trouble bringing in dead or dying critters, drinking out of Papa Kasper’s mug or Stern’s fishbowl, climbing up really high up trees (he’s a Norwegian Forest Cat), or tearing up the family’s emergency supply of toilet paper.
As for Cedrick, he’s a young teenage wunderkind training to become a doctor like his father Johannes Faustuz and grandfather Richard, but also has a knack for crafting things like plushies and clothing like his mother Freyja.
Being the only child of a Kasper and Ström, it’s not quite yet determined whether he’ll become a full-fledged Grim Reaper or occult weapons distributor/manufacturer; unless his parents have more kids (it’s possible but not likely - we’ll see), Cedrick is under a lot of pressure to choose once he’s 21 (right now he likes being a Junior Reaper, and he has plenty of distant cousins within the Ström family who can take care of things for him).
