Something orange for October: it’s Cedrick Kasper and the family cat Klimt.
October 13th is Cedrick’s birthday, and Klimt was his 9th birthday present from his grandfather Erik Ström; Cedrick picked Klimt because he was orange like his grandfather’s cat Klum (Klimt was also the runt of the litter, making him stand out even more amongst his siblings).
As sweet and affectionate Klimt may be, he’s known to cause some trouble bringing in dead or dying critters, drinking out of Papa Kasper’s mug or Stern’s fishbowl, climbing up really high up trees (he’s a Norwegian Forest Cat), or tearing up the family’s emergency supply of toilet paper.
As for Cedrick, he’s a young teenage wunderkind training to become a doctor like his father Johannes Faustuz and grandfather Richard, but also has a knack for crafting things like plushies and clothing like his mother Freyja.
Being the only child of a Kasper and Ström, it’s not quite yet determined whether he’ll become a full-fledged Grim Reaper or occult weapons distributor/manufacturer; unless his parents have more kids (it’s possible but not likely - we’ll see), Cedrick is under a lot of pressure to choose once he’s 21 (right now he likes being a Junior Reaper, and he has plenty of distant cousins within the Ström family who can take care of things for him).

A break from the Hellhound arc - it’s Cedrick’s birthday!
-
For his 9th birthday, Cedrick’s grandfather Erik Ström allowed him to pick any one of his cat’s kittens for a pet (the others were given to other Ström family members). Cedrick picked Klimt, the runt of the litter, because he looks very much like his grandfather’s cat Klum. Like mentioned before, Klimt was named after the Austrian painter famous for his gold paintings due to his orange fur.
-
Erik adopted Klum from a breeder who didn’t want her anymore because she was believed to be too old to have any more kittens; Klum started to eat more than usual, gained weight, and weeks later gave birth to kittens, surprising everyone.
It’s quite obvious how each cat was named - after people with last names that starts with “K”: Klum, Kaulitz, Klimt, Klaus, and Kaiser (a fifth kitten Klein sadly didn’t survive due to illness).

#sketchdump - just testing out the color palettes I made for skin and hair tones since Autodesk Sketchbook
updated on my iPad.
I still struggle a bit with skin tones, especially dark ones (medium skin tones are the easiest; fair skin tones can be tricky because if it’s too dark it pretty much becomes medium skin).
As for hair tones, blond and grey hair are actually the hardest for me - dark hair like Tricia’s are the most easiest to color.
So to say which OCs were the easiest to draw here?
That’ll be Sigrid, Freyja, Kimiko, Vincent-Claude, and others with similar coloring (Freyja is also fun to draw realistically because she has freckles; Cedrick is still by far the easiest OC to draw based on design).
Feel free to comment below to say which OC you like best. 🤗

Happy October! 🎃
As Summer refuses to let go and give out one more scorcher before finally transitioning into Fall, here’s a cute #nightmarebeforechristmas #pattern done with marigold yellow-orange.
I must say…
It really looks like a wrapping paper pattern…
Perfect for Halloween and Christmas.💀

Quick #sketchdump of Papa Ström, Papa Kasper, and Wunderkind.
•Cedrick is caretaker of the many creatures at home whenever his father is away, and obviously each critter has their specific needs so he’s often calling around to find their favorite food.
ie. Fritz the baby Wolpertinger loves turnips, while Junko Akane the Hyōsube craves eggplants (aubergines to most of the rest of the world).
•Erik Ström is just being an annoyed grandpa…
He’s mostly annoyed whenever he’s around his son-in-law Johannes Faustuz, or trying to figure out how to create a post on social media and can’t find his daughter Freyja or grandson Cedrick to help him.
•Hr. Dr. Kasper doing his day job as an oncologist; whenever he’s not busy at the hospital, Faustuz is busy dealing with mythical creatures, souls, and fellow reapers.

Another #sketchdump…
Took awhile to finish this due to being busy with work and feeling lazy/tired/uninspired the past several days.
•Sigrid likes dressing up in shorts & tanks when she’s not wearing school uniforms/dresses; when it’s nighttime she gets cold since she forgets to bring a sweater/jacket.
Since Richard appeared, he’s been lending his coats which smells like Calvin Klein Obsession (Sigrid thought he’d stink with all the monsters & souls he hunts).
•Hedy (Sigrid’s home room teacher/neighbor Mr. Vannderhassen’s cat) loves sneaking into Aina’s greenhouse for naps and visits with Odin (the neighborhood stray tomcat).
As much as Sigrid and her mother love cats, their neighbor often accuses Aina of stealing his cat and is upset seeing a another man with Sigrid.
•Richard gets calls from Aina at his office in Kiel about Tatzelwurms; they’re weasel/snake-like creatures that burrow underground & drawn to valuable crops (Aina grows flowers, shrubs, and herbs).
He’ll get bloodied with scratches and bites killing them, which leads to stains on Aina’s floors; to prevent them, she’d force Richard to strip off his clothes and rinse off all the blood before getting locked in the bathroom until the laundry was done.
•Sigrid relaxing after a doctor’s appointment; both know they’re expecting a boy but not sure if he’ll look like his mother or father (Johannes Faustuz ended up looking a lot like Richard).
•Faustuz was able to see souls when he was about 3-6 months old; one soul would be floating nearby which scared him; it was his mother’s soul Richard keeps around for sentimental reasons after removing it from Sigrid’s body (Death keeps a special collection of souls of people he loved).
•Aina has a hard time telling her grandson about his parents, esp. since it was Richard as Death who took Sigrid’s soul out; because of this, Faustuz grew up hating his father.

#sketchdump with a lot of OCs at once…😶
• Asia’s not happy with her hubby Tyrone having a hangover after having several drinks the night before with his “work spouse” Hr. Dr. Kasper.
• Cedrick noticed Stern wasn’t in her fishbowl; since she’s so tiny and prone to drying out after long periods of time, he’s panicking trying to find her (she most likely crawled into a hot cup of tea sitting out in the kitchen).
• Freyja is all dressed up for a red carpet event; she’s caught off guard with someone asking where “Mr. Ström” is for the night.
• Some random guy at the local sports bar made fun of Johannes Faustuz drinking a pink cocktail, calling him a “Girly Man”.
Kaspers are known to be extremely vengeful when insulted, so in retaliation Faustuz challenges him to a drinking contest - whoever drinks the most pink cocktails wins.
Tyrone knows his coworker can tolerate a lot of alcohol, but he’s scared of the other guy getting hurt as well as explaining to Asia his whereabouts late at night.
• Sigrid and Richard out on a rare daytime date in the 1980s.
Most of their dates were at night to avoid people they know who don’t approve of their relationship, but if they want to eat out and play the latest arcade games on the same day then they have to plan a date for an earlier time.

A closer look at some of the Re-ment drugstore set items I unboxed earlier.
(My live video is on my IGTV now for anyone who missed it)
Aside from drawing, I also collect dolls and miniatures.
It’s been mentioned to me many times, but yes - my dolls do look a lot like a few of my OCs (Cedrick, Tricia, Freyja); because of that, I do use them occasionally as models.
And since I do have a lot of Re-ment items, I probably should be showing them off by doing more doll photography (I probably have over 1,000 pieces by now).

🖊
About each drawing:
• Freyja loves using her husband’s glasses as a fashion accessory.
That’s why Johannes Faustuz has so many styles and pairs of them - and because he has so many, he always has a spare pair to see (his right green eye is nearly blind unless it’s activated).
• Faustuz doesn’t like buying new clothes if it’s avoidable, especially for expensive items (he rather spend the money for a date night with Freyja or on treats for the many creatures the family has at home).
Luckily he inherited some stuff from his father Richard that he actually likes to wear, such as watches, rings, and suits (Richard bought a few Armani suits in the 1980s to impress Sigrid).
• Freyja and Faustuz are notorious for staying out late after their dinner dates (for obvious reasons - mainly to get time away from work and their son Cedrick), often upsetting Erik when they finally get home around dawn (he’s always going to be a protective father for his daughter no matter how old she is).

Papa Kasper and son’s fantasy versions, including past drawings going all the way back to 2017.
-
Johannes Faustuz wears something that resembles a mage and plague doctor; Cedrick wears something like an imperial military uniform (he was conscripted to join The Mad King Erik’s elite naval guard).
Both are skilled in magic, making potions, treating illnesses and injuries, and Necromancy - something only descendants of Death and Blood Elves know.

Quick drawing featuring Freyja Ström-Kasper in her fantasy Viking princess form.
You don’t want to mess with this mama and her family in this alternative universe.

Included are pics of her in her fantasy version over the years, going back to 2017.
As for her hubby and their kiddo… I might draw their fantasy versions another time when I’m not feeling so bleh.

And finally finished after suffering from fatigue and nausea/vomiting due to a severe migraine…😖
(I get a least one or two a month which sucks)
-
Just wanted to see if I could make something that looks like a retro anime from the 1980s using these two OCs from that time frame.
The greenhouse background is a bit sloppy, proof that I get tired and lazy after a long time.💩
I changed Richard’s face a bit to make him look at his feline-lookalike, and people voted for Sigrid to hold Odin instead of Hedy (Hedy [the black cat] version is the 5th slide).
-
Now that I had made this, I guess I could try making some fan art from the 1970s-1980s anime era (might be time to draw VOLTRON or LADY OSCAR: ROSE OF VERSAILLES).
Comment below to let me know what you think.

Junior Grim Reaper Cedrick Kasper and his pet Hellhound/Doberman Frl. Flicka
-
It’s a pic that’s been sitting idle for some time that finally got finished, but it might go into Archives since it’s not a pic with much thought (I do like his outfit though, so I might recycle that idea for something else).
I’ve just been really tired lately trying to readjust myself having to move around and dealing with work, and Artist Block is in effect again.
