Tyrone loves it when it’s his birthday at work because everyone has brought food over for Thanksgiving.
Hr. Dr. Kasper hates it when it’s his birthday at work because HE has to bring home-baked pastries and ice cream for everyone - even more so when it’s also Christmas time (where he’s from in Germany/Denmark, I read that it’s actually custom for the birthday boy/girl to bring the goods to work - WTF 😦)

Thanksgiving is obviously his favorite holiday not only because it’s his birthday, but also because of all the amazing food his grandma and wife cooks and he gets to watch all the football he wants on TV with his family (he’s from Houston, Texas, so he’s fiercely loyal to his hometown team).
Hr. Dr. Kasper was born a second shy of Christmas Eve on 23 December.🎄
Where he’s from in Europe, Christmas Eve is the day when gifts are exchanged and the tree is brought in for decoration, and his family thinks of him as the ultimate present - especially for his grandparents (Olaf wanted an heir after Richard, and Aina was so proud that her daughter Sigrid was even able to have a child).
However, it was also a sad time because his mother Sigrid died on Christmas Day - therefore he can be a bit of a mopey grouch when the peak holiday season starts (it’s also bad luck to talk about birthdays early in his homeland, so he really tries to avoid anything associated with it as much as possible).

Anyone want to guess who inspired Freyja’s look for the season?
(hint: she’s current royalty)
Cedrick’s look is very K-Pop boy-band star inspired (he loves K-Pop, Industrial/Metal, and EDM), and Faustuz is what you’d expect some guy from Scandinavia would wear (the Kaspers are from Germany/Denmark and Sweden, so…).
I also included basic OC information of each family member; I simplified some info like birth years and heights since OCs aren’t 100% set (it’s more of a generalization/estimation of what I have in mind).
Freyja and Faustuz are definitely Millennials (so born as early as 1981-1982), and Cedrick is 100% a Zoomer (he was created around 2006, so it makes sense to make him born in the late 2000s to mid 2010s).
And even though their primary residence is around Scandinavia, they’re more associated with being at Los Angeles since a lot of their work is in California.

It’s November - or #movember with the emphasis on mustaches.🥸
There’s only one OCs that immediately comes to mind when it comes to mustaches:
Einar Ström - Freyja‘s favorite cousin and lovely co-host of her TV show “FLASH FASHION”.
Einar is Freyja’s third oldest cousin (after Ragnar and Werner, but before Gunnar [Freyja was the only girl in her family]) who loves fashion just as much as her.
Einar and Freyja would play Dress-Up with Freyja’s mother Sonja’s clothes and makeup and Barbie dolls as children; as adults, they still love dressing up in outrageous outfits when the right occasions occur - such as award ceremonies and charity events.
Because of having red in their hair, most initially think Einar and Freyja are brother-sister siblings (along with Gunnar who also has reddish hair; Ragnar has dark ash-brown hair while Werner is blond like Freyja’s father Erik).
Einar also loves flirting with lots of men, especially with Freyja’s husband Hr. Dr. Kasper (he does this because he knows it makes Freyja upset just to tease her; what will surprise him is when Hr. Dr. Kasper will play along and pretend to flirt with him).

Did you miss me? 👻
I’ve been away for quite some time due to work (for anyone who hasn’t seen my past IG Stories, I’ve been sucked down a purple vortex in Del Mar known as the Breeders’ Cup - basically the World Cup or Super Bowl for horse racing 🏇).
Now that’s over, I can relax and get back to my scribbles and doodles (seriously - I’m a mental wreck after driving, hotel hopping, and barely eating anything for the last several days).
I haven’t posted the last few pics I’ve done prior to my absence (I’ll get them up soon), but here’s this one done today.
Basically I just drew Richard, Sigrid, and Johannes Faustuz with a basic Red-Blue-Green color scheme and wearing Fall fashions from the 1970s, 1980s, and 2020s (which are heavily inspired by the 1990s).
And of course, I couldn’t help coloring in some plaid stripes
(I really love stripes, okay).

Richard, on the other hand, has always been behind in regards to his fashion (most of his stuff is from the late 1960s to late 1970s).
“If it’s not ripped or has holes, it’s still good” has been his philosophy since he dislikes shopping for new clothes; but when Richard does put effort to pick out more recent looks, Sigrid can’t help but get excited seeing her boyfriend wear something new.

It’s pretty obvious that he’d resemble Richard a lot (same coloring, height, etc.), but there’s also quite a bit of Sigrid he inherited (hair style, personality/expressions, etc.).
…also it’s another excuse to draw matching plaid outfits influenced by their respective decades, lol.
(I just really like drawing outfits on OCs, okay?!)

💀 Grim Reaper Notes 💀
As Halloween gets closer, more rogue monsters and lost souls are more abound as the boundaries between the living and dead are weakened due to the waning hours of sunlight, making it a more busy time for Reapers - often times (depending on regional holidays) Reapers may ask for extra help.
When Reapers are relocated outside their country of origin, it’s customary to wear traditional clothing to show that they aren’t native and are only allowed to work under the authority of the regional Reaper family in charge (if they’re back in Kiel where they’re from, the Kaspers wear exclusively modern Reaper clothing; occasionally they wear highly modernized versions of their traditional clothing to accommodate the hot weather in California).
The Kaspers are normally based in Germany/Scandinavia, but due to medical work they are often relocated in Southern California where another Reaper family is based.
The Rodriguez Family are often swamped during Halloween/Dia de Los Muertos, especially with their oldest daughter Granger as their current sole Reaper (Mrs. Rodriguez injured her leg after fighting a rogue jaguar spirit, while second daughter Carmen hates being a Junior Reaper under her sister, often hanging out with BFF Tricia Williams instead); because California used to be Spanish territory, it follows the logic that many countries with Latin/Romance/Slavic-based languages have female Reapers because the word “Death” is feminine and/or their Death goddesses are referred to as female.
Despite Hr. Dr. Kasper having a direct connection with Death Himself and being more experienced as a Reaper, Granger always takes the opportunity to take charge and call him “Juanito” (vaguely translates into “Cute Little Johnny” in Spanish; his first name “Johannes” is an old version of the common name “John”) whenever they work together.

About each drawing:
• Freyja loves using her husband’s glasses as a fashion accessory.
That’s why Johannes Faustuz has so many styles and pairs of them - and because he has so many, he always has a spare pair to see (his right green eye is nearly blind unless it’s activated).
• Faustuz doesn’t like buying new clothes if it’s avoidable, especially for expensive items (he rather spend the money for a date night with Freyja or on treats for the many creatures the family has at home).
Luckily he inherited some stuff from his father Richard that he actually likes to wear, such as watches, rings, and suits (Richard bought a few Armani suits in the 1980s to impress Sigrid).
• Freyja and Faustuz are notorious for staying out late after their dinner dates (for obvious reasons - mainly to get time away from work and their son Cedrick), often upsetting Erik when they finally get home around dawn (he’s always going to be a protective father for his daughter no matter how old she is).

I have fun drawing OCs wearing current clothing or occasionally clothing from a past time period if they’re another era (1970s-1990s specifically).
I’ve been seeing lots of sweats, oversized shirts, baggy pants, chunky boots, and lots of plaid and corduroy that’s highly influenced by the 1990s and early 2000s on shelves for the Fall season (it’s getting a bit too close to my late childhood to my tween years; in a few years we might be back to having Emo fashion, lol).
Despite all the cozy clothes coming out, it’s still pretty warm out here in California - I can barely wear sweaters only in the morning and late night hours, otherwise it’s still too hot.
I can’t wait until it gets really cold - I’m jealous of places that are like 55F during the daytime (*looking at Scandinavia right now*).

I have fun drawing OCs wearing current clothing or occasionally clothing from a past time period if they’re another era (1970s-1990s specifically).
I’ve been seeing lots of sweats, oversized shirts, baggy pants, chunky boots, and lots of plaid and corduroy that’s highly influenced by the 1990s and early 2000s on shelves for the Fall season (it’s getting a bit too close to my late childhood to my tween years; in a few years we might be back to having Emo fashion, lol).
Despite all the cozy clothes coming out, it’s still pretty warm out here in California - I can barely wear sweaters only in the morning and late night hours, otherwise it’s still too hot.
I can’t wait until it gets really cold - I’m jealous of places that are like 55F during the daytime (*looking at Scandinavia right now*).
