“I see right through you…” - Whenever this Junior Reaper activates his odd eye while casting powerful spells, bones slowly appear as tattoos on his skin. Both Cedrick and his father often wear masks, face paint, and gloves to cover up this effect to lessen the focus of their direct linage to Death Himself (Der Sensenmann) - a.k.a. Richard Kasper. Activating “Odins Auge” also allows them to see through people and adversaries to search their vital organs for weaknesses and how long of a lifespan they have. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #ipadart #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #hands #blond #blonde #greeneye #bones #skeletonhands #skeletonhandtattoo #white #black #yellow #green #blue #pink #brown #grey #gray #blink #blinking #blinkinganimation #animation

Something really different: Inside Hr. Dr. Kasper’s car late at night (he doesn’t drive his inherited red VW Beetle from his father Richard to/from work - it’s too old to survive a long California traffic jam). Kaspers usually don’t like cats because they often chase away spirits, small mythical creatures, and souls that need capturing (why they normally have dogs), but cats are drawn to them and show them affection despite their antics. Hr. Dr. Kasper grew up around Hedy and her kittens, and his wife Freyja’s family are known to own Norwegian Forest Cats, so he has a higher tolerance for cats compared to most Reapers; Klimt was his son Cedrick’s birthday gift, but for whatever reason, chose Faustuz as his main human and constantly begs for attention from him. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacter #man #cat #pink #table #chair #sitting

Another #sketchdump of Richard and Sigrid. • Richard often helps Sigrid with her schoolwork; occasionally when he’s out shopping for work supplies and books, he might find a couple notebooks/journals/diaries his girlfriend would like using since they’re plain and have blank pages for her to doodle notes. • Aina loved seeing her daughter Sigrid and Richard finally becoming a couple; they stayed together despite the academy’s strict rules about dating, Richard’s true identity as Death and background as a foreigner, and the large age gap. It was when the timer from Sigrid’s curse went off Richard was forced to separate from her, tearing out her soul only days after she gave birth to their son. • Since the arcade owner is a close friend of her mother’s, Sigrid is allowed to take home some of his apples. She’s tall for a teenage girl, but not quite tall enough to reach the top branches of his tree; both she and the arcade owner are appreciative whenever Richard is around to pick the apples hardest to reach (Batty, on the other hand, gets upset seeing a stranger helping his father when he has time to help himself). • Richard often gets playful when showing his affections for Sigrid; she’ll get embarrassed if it’s too much affection, but gets upset if he’s not around for long periods of time - if he’s gone for too long, Sigrid would start crying and worry that he had been injured during his travels or had reverted back to his true form as Death Himself. — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacters #originalcharacter #originalcharacterart #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #comic

Richard is excited and so proud of himself for making such a putrid Tatzelwurm repellent; Sigrid thinks otherwise - she’s grossed out by what he put in it and thinks he actually made a girlfriend repellent instead (she still loves him though). Now to test it - if anyone is brave enough to approach a whole litter of Tatzelwurms in the backyard… — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #malecharacter #femalecharacter #man #girl #couple #laboratory #comic

Tatzelwurms are not to be messed with - they look cute, but they’re extremely vicious and destructive to both plants and Reapers alike. They’re drawn to the scent of rare plants and minerals in the earth, causing them to dig them up and burrow nearby to produce large litters. After countless times getting torn apart and patched up, and Sigrid not very happy about the method of extermination, Richard ponders on creating a repellent to keep Tatzelwurms out of Aina’s backyard. Included are previous mentions and encounters of the Tatzelwurm (and there might be more to come). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #femalecharacter #couple #man #girl #tatzelwurm #comic

Original Instagram post ↗The Tatzelwurm. (at least one version of it) - Aina’s backyard garden and greenhouse would occasionally be attacked by these not-so-tiny creatures; she managed to invent a repellent to deter their presence for a month, but does get tired or caught up with orders for other creations and forget to apply her own repellent. She loved when Richard came over to her flower shop not only to pick up his order of vials and flirt with her daughter Sigrid, but also to kill off the invading critters (often returning inside covered with scratches, bites, and blood from fighting them with his bare hands; Aina would use healing potions on his wounds, Sigrid often secretly watching nearby). After Richard’s death, Aina worked hard to develop better Tatzelwurm repellents, often with the help of her only grandchild Johannes Faustuz whenever he visited Copenhagen for summer vacations; her current version has kept Tatzelwurms out of her backyard up to five years. — #autodesksketchbook #digitalart #digitaldrawing #mythicalcreatures #tatzelwurm

This was sitting in my Drafts for almost a whole entire YEAR! 😵💫 But it’s Holiday Season again, so now’s a good time to post it (then archive it, lol). It’s Papa Kasper dressed up as a Heavy Metal Rocker Christkind.🤘🎸👑 [original 2021 commentary below] If Papa Kasper had his take on the Christkind, he’d be wearing all black and gold like a rockstar, lol. (And Jesus totally looks like a metal rocker too… or hippie… huh…🤔) Despite being stoic, academic, and very by-the-book most of the time, Faustuz does has a bit of a bad boy 1980s-1990s metal rocker that occasionally wants to be channel out (the long hair and singing karaoke with his cousin Hansel kinda hint at it). Even though their son Cedrick put a lot of effort into making this outfit, there’s no way Mama is passing up the opportunity to have her husband all dolled up in a traditional holiday costume for charity. I still can’t find a definite reason for the sex swap after lots of research - it’s a bit confusing how Christkind over centuries turned from a baby boy into a grown woman wearing a white and gold dress and huge crown; even vintage cards are often androgynous in regards to Christkind’s sex (just a blonde child with angel wings, white robe, and halo holding an evergreen branch and sack of gifts and often being followed by a deer), but the word “Kind” is gender neutral so… I guess it makes sense in that way? 😞😖😣😫 — #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #autodesksketchbook #originalcharacter #frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #man #femalecharacter #woman #comic #christkind #holidays #christmas #xmas #xmasプレゼント #weihnachten🎄
Something I just learned and just happened to be coincidental while making this - St. Lucia’s Day is today.🕯 I was doing research on St. Lucia’s Day mainly because it would be something Freyja’s family would observe (she’s Swedish), but also how similar St. Lucia looks in comparison with Christkind (which was original focus of these notes). Of the two, St. Lucia wins with the more interesting backstory - though Christkind has quite a story from being the literal Jesus into the blonde angelic lady who gives gifts and often tops Christmas trees. Swipe one page over and we get to see Papa Kasper dressed up as Christkind for charity (if he had it his way, he’d wear all black instead of white, lol). — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #notes #stlucysday #stluciasday #stluciaday #christmas #candles #christkind #december13 #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters ##frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #femalecharacter #girl #woman #man #comic #red #white #yellow
It’s that time of the year when people are looking for trees… 🌲🎄 So here’s some of Cedrick’s notes about the tree that was once looked upon as a cute little odd foreign trinket that’s now the ultimate symbol of Christmas besides the jolly old bearded man. (CK will have some notes on Kringel soon enough - as well as Krampus, candy canes, gingerbread men, snow globes, and whatever else makes the holiday season kitsch AF) — #digitalart #digitaldrawing #ipaddrawing #notes #christmastree #tannenbaum #weihnachtsbaum #originalcharacterart #originalcharacter #originalcharacters ##frauv8_ocs #malecharacter #femalecharacter #boy #woman #comic #red #green
