Second OC for October’s wardrobe prompt:
Sigrid / Formal
Sigrid Faustus-Jörgensen is one of my OCs set in the 1980s (hence the pink frilly gown she’s wearing here), the daughter of an albino Wicca and Denmark’s most powerful Warlock.
Her father cursed her soon after her birth, disappointed she wasn’t the son he wanted and not even an Enchantress (the class of Witches who don’t require potions to activate their magical powers, unlike the class of Wicca who rely on potions); she was to die before adulthood and her stolen lifespan was transferred to extend her father’s.
Despite being Wicca, Sigrid became the top student in her class due to her inherited power from her father.
Cursed with a limited lifespan, she had difficulty making friends amongst classmates; even her childhood crush Batty dismissed her as “not worth his time”.
Being isolated made her very attentive to plants she grew for her mother’s flower shop and play video games daily at the local arcade (Sigrid would often refer to her plants as “her children”).
Sigrid’s soul was also marked to be collected by Death Himself when her time was finally up; with 2-5 years left to live, Europe’s top Reaper arrived to observe and wait until he can take her soul on Death’s behalf.
Initially Sigrid didn’t like Richard based on his playboy reputation and violent methods of killing mythical monsters, and she did figure out that his true identity as Death Himself, but after almost a year later the pair were inseparable and deeply in love.
Sigrid’s soul was finally taken soon after the birth of Johannes, revealing Richard’s identity to her mother and leading to his eventual “death” a few years later.

OCs Hr. Dr. Kasper (Johannes) and his cousin Hanzo/Hansel Kasper, making it “Hans ‘n Hans” (add Hansel’s sister Hana/Hannah, it’s “Triple Hans”!).
-
Hr. Dr. Kasper was raised alongside with his older cousins after his father Richard “passed away” before he was 4; because of their large age gaps (Hansel was 8 years older, Hannah was 6 years older) and having blond hair with odd eyes (his cousins were half Asian), he always felt left out and alienated growing up (he did manage to learn Japanese and some Korean, allowing him to listen into his older siblings and aunt’s conversations).
Both Hansel and Hannah thought of Johannes as a pest, especially since they see him as the reason why their beloved aunt Sigrid died (they never knew about her life curse until many years later).
As adults, the three had grown very close - especially since the death of Heinrich (Hansel & Hannah’s father/Richard’s older brother); the two older cousins would hug their younger sibling whenever they feel the void of their father’s death because Johannes has a resemblance to him.
When in Kiel, Hansel works alongside Hr. Dr. Kasper as his nurse at the hospital; when his younger cousin is away, Hansel picks up the responsibilities as a Grim Reaper in mainly North Europe.
Hannah spends most of her time away from the occult and mythical running her restaurants as a master chef, but in occasion will chime in giving family status updates when she’s at home with Tante Yoko.

Kasper Grim Reapers: Hansel (Hanzo), Johannes Faustuz, Richard, and Cedrick.
💀
Hansel is half Asian (Tante Yoko is Japanese with some Korean ancestry), and only takes up the role as a Grim Reaper when his younger cousin Faustuz is away busy abroad from Kiel.
Richard is the actual Grim Reaper (Der Sensenmann): Death Himself.
He gets a human incarnation whenever Fate feels like giving him a reward (usually once every 500-1,000 years), but can only live as a human for a short amount of time (as short as 15, no longer than 40 years).
He can only be summoned by one of his living descendants if needed and can have a temporary human body for up to two weeks before turning back to his skeletal form.
Faustuz is Death’s son and current heir of the Kasper bloodline with “Odin’s Eye”, an ability that allows him to see a monster’s weaknesses.
His son Cedrick also has “Odin’s Eye”, and is his Junior Reaper accompanying him whenever there’s a rogue monster or wandering souls floating around.

Death Himself (Richard), Hr. Dr. Kasper, and Cedrick - all three generations of Grim Reapers in one pic.
💀
Just a random idea I felt like experimenting with for a character sheet.
Not quite exactly what I had in mind, but I’ll try making another one another time…

Another #sketchdump with notes focused on Sigrid:
• ”As the daughter of Denmark’s strongest Warlock Samuel Jörgensen, Sigrid inherited his magical potential despite being a Wicca. Once her abilities are unlocked, Sigrid becomes the academy’s top student to the ire of purebred Enchantresses.”
• ”The all-girls academy Sigrid attends keeps modern textbooks out of their library to ‘maintain the purity’ of their students involved with the Occult and Mythical.”
> Sigrid often visits the university where Richard works just to read modern textbooks (specifically illustrated textbooks).
• ”As Wicca, Sigrid and her mother (Aina) are highly skilled in making potions - more so compared to Enchantresses due to their knowledge of plants.”
> Sigrid needs an activation potion to unlock her inner magical potential.
(her look has a Sailor Jupiter vibe with her hair up and wearing green)
• ”Despite the academy’s prohibition of dating, Sigrid and Richard developed a romance over time, eventually getting married and having a son together.”

Being involved in the Occult and Mythical with day jobs in Medicine and Education screams Dark Academia, so it made sense to draw these 4 Kaspers wearing this popular trend (there’s Light Academia as well using lighter brighter Summer colors, another look I’m considering drawing for these OCs as well).
Cedrick and his father Hr. Dr. Kasper have a more modern take on the look, while his grandparents Sigrid and Richard looks are rooted in the 1980s when there’s a number of movies reflecting the preppy theme (“Dead Poets Society” is a good one) - and not to also mention fashion from Armani, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger were peaking as well.

It’s been awhile since I’ve made one of these…
It’s Cedrick dressed up in a Dark Academia aesthetic (which suits the Kasper Family overall since they’re involved with the Occult and mythical universe), and it’s a bit reminiscent of a pic I made last year featuring his dad Hr. Dr. Kasper and Tricia Williams.
And what’s a boy without his trusty doggu?
(Frl. Flicka is the Kasper’s’ pet Hellhound/Doberman)
And as Junior Grim Reaper and a direct descendant of Death, souls would naturally be drawn to him.
